Nordstrom, Inc. () is an American luxury department store chain headquartered in Seattle, Washington and founded by John W. Nordstrom and Carl F. Wallin in 1901. The original Wallin & Nordstrom store operated exclusively as a shoe store, and a second Nordstrom's shoe store opened in 1923. The growing Nordstrom Best chain began selling clothing in 1963, and became the Nordstrom full-line retailer that presently exists by 1971. The company founded its off-price Nordstrom Rack division in 1973, and grew both full-line and off-price divisions throughout the United States in the following years before expanding into Canada in 2014 and Puerto Rico from 2015 until 2020.

Nordstrom Rack (stylized as NORDSTROM rack) is an American off-price department store chain founded in 1973, and a subsidiary of the luxury department store chain Nordstrom. Nordstrom Rack offers branded clothing and accessories for women, men, and kids at a large discount to consumers across the United States and Canada. As of 2021, Nordstrom Rack operates 352 stores in 41 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces.

Solumbra is a line of sun protection clothing and a patented fabric. Introduced in 1992, Solumbra was reviewed under medical device regulations by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and by Health Canada. No sun protective clothing had previously been reviewed as a medical device in the U.S. or Canada. Solumbra offered improved and superior ultraviolet (UV) protection when compared to a conventional 30 SPF sunscreen and typical summer clothing. Solumbra sun protective clothing is now rated at 100+ SPF.

Nordstrom Downtown Seattle, originally known as the Frederick & Nelson Department Store, is a department store in Seattle, Washington on Pine Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. It has been a flagship store for Nordstrom since 1998, and was originally the flagship store for Frederick & Nelson from 1918–1992. The building was designed by John Graham & Company in the Neo-Renaissance style. It was granted landmark designation by the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board in October 1996.

The Medical Dental Building is a historic office building located in Downtown Seattle, near McGraw Square and adjacent to the Nordstrom Building.

Westlake Center is a four-story shopping center and 25-story office tower in downtown Seattle, Washington, United States. The southern terminus of the Seattle Center Monorail, it is located across Pine Street from Westlake Park, between 4th and 5th Avenues. It is named for Westlake Avenue, which now terminates north of the mall but once ran two blocks farther south to Pike Street. Westlake Park is considered Seattle's "town square" and celebrities and political figures often make appearances or give speeches from the building's balcony.The current shopping center began construction in 1986 after over 20 years of planning, and opened its doors on October 20, 1988. The building was designed by RTKL Associates on a site of 11,000 square metres (120,000 sq ft).

The Shafer Building, also known as the Sixth and Pine Building, is a historic building in downtown Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington. The structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Asean Streat Food Hall (stylized as Asean StrEAT Food Hall) is a food hall in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington. Inspired by the food markets of Southeast Asia, it operates at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Pine Street, in the shopping mall called Westlake Center. Owned by Punya Tipyasothi, the food hall has ten stalls for restaurants offering cuisine from various Asian countries, including Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. It is named after the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and opened in November 2022. Businesses have included Hi Fry, Kopi Cafe, Rolling Wok, and Sweet Moon. The website Delish included Asean Streat in a 2023 list of the seven best food halls in the United States.

Westlake station is a light rail station that is part of the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel in Seattle, Washington, United States. The station is located under Pine Street between 3rd and 6th avenues in Downtown Seattle, near Westlake Center and Westlake Park. It is served by Line 1, part of Sound Transit's Link light rail system, and also connected above ground by buses at several stops, the South Lake Union Streetcar, and the Seattle Center Monorail. Westlake station consists of two underground side platforms, connected to the surface by entrances and a mezzanine level served by nearby department stores. It is situated between University Street station to the south, and the former Convention Place station to the north; Convention Place was only served by buses, however, and Capitol Hill station is the next northbound light rail station. The transit tunnel was built in the 1980s by King County Metro and opened for bus-only service on September 15, 1990. The tunnel was closed from 2005 to 2007 for a major renovation to prepare for light rail service, which began on July 18, 2009. Link light rail trains terminated at Westlake until the opening of the University Link Extension on March 19, 2016; the tunnel became train-only in March 2019. Trains serve the station twenty hours a day on most days; the headway between light rail trains is six minutes during peak periods, with less frequent service at other times. A second downtown tunnel is planned to be built in 2030, with a transfer at Westlake station for traffic continuing towards South Lake Union and Ballard.

Pacific Place is an upscale shopping center in downtown Seattle, Washington, United States. Opened on October 29, 1998, it is located at 6th Avenue and Pine Street and has a total area of 335,000 square feet (31,100 m2). It has five floors, the uppermost of which features an 11-screen AMC Theatre (formerly General Cinema) and various restaurants. Pacific Place also features a skybridge that connects it to Seattle's Nordstrom flagship. During the Christmas season, there is an artificial snow display every night at 6 p.m. in the atrium. On July 14, 2014, Pacific Place was sold for $271 million to Madison Marquette, a Washington, D.C.-based commercial real estate company. On September 2016, Madison Marquette completed the purchase of the Pacific Place parking garage from the city of Seattle for $87 million. A redevelopment of the mall was announced on March 2017 to expand space for shops and remodel the common areas. After over two years of redevelopment, Pacific Placed reopened in June 2020. Throughout 2021, small independent shops and art non-profits have utilized vacancy spaces for business and artistic activities.

John Harte McGraw is an outdoor 1912 bronze sculpture depicting the former governor of the same name by Richard E. Brooks, installed in McGraw Square at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Olive Street in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington.

McGraw Square is a small plaza and streetcar stop in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The 0.01-acre (0.0040 ha) park, one of the smallest in the city park system, is named for and features a statue of former King County Sheriff and Governor of Washington John Harte McGraw. McGraw Square is bounded to the north by Stewart Street, to the west by 5th Avenue and the Times Square Building, and to the east by Olive Way and the Medical Dental Building.The square was originally a 660-square-foot (61 m2) parcel acquired by the City of Seattle in 1911 to build a public square to be designed by the Olmsted Brothers. Richard E. Brooks was commissioned to sculpt a bronze statue of Governor McGraw, who had died in 1910, and unveiled the finished sculpture on July 22, 1913. It was later designated as a Seattle Landmark on May 6, 1985. The statue measures approximately 6 feet (1.8 m) x 4 feet (1.2 m) x 4 feet (1.2 m) and rests on a granite base that measures approximately 7 feet (2.1 m) x 6.5 feet (2.0 m) x 6.5 feet (2.0 m).In late 2010, the Seattle Department of Transportation expanded the plaza over a section of Westlake Avenue and incorporating the nearby South Lake Union Streetcar terminus at a cost of $900,000, paid by a mobility grant from the Washington State Department of Transportation. The new plaza, which is intended to host tables and food trucks, was opened to the public on February 9, 2011.
