Uffmoor Wood

Hasbury is a suburb of Halesowen in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley in West Midlands, England. Its main focal point is the small shopping centre at the Wassell Road/Hagley Road junction, surrounded to the north by municipal housing development (Albrighton Road and Philip Road) and with owner-occupier housing estates located to the south (the Huntlands) and west (Rosemary Road). The local primary school is St Margaret's at Hasbury Church of England Primary School, which is located on Hagley Road adjacent to St. Margaret of Antioch church. It is served by bus routes 142, 192 and 417. The nearest bus station Halesowen bus station.

Hayley Green is a suburb of Halesowen in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, West Midlands, England, located to the south-west of Halesowen town centre. Its focal points are the Fox Hunt public house run by the Harvester restaurant chain and a row of small shops on the A456/B4183 roundabout. It has mainly owner-occupied housing stock, including the Causey Farm estate, St Kenelms Avenue and Squirrels estate, with a small 1940s municipal housing estate off Uffmoor Lane. The population for the appropriate Dudley ward (Hayley Green and Cradley South), taken at the 2011 census was 11,862.The busy A456 Manor Way/Hagley Road is its main road, to the south of which is mostly green belt countryside mainly agricultural land next to the Clent Hills and the 300 acres (1.2 km2) Uffmoor Wood, an ancient woodland with public access. Hayley Green is located on the West Midlands/Worcestershire border, with Hagley at the eastern end of the A456. Hagley Golf and Country Club borders the suburb. The area is largely within the ancient township of Lutley, which was a distantly detached part of the manor of the Deanery of Wolverhampton. The area is served by Lutley Primary School. It is served by bus routes 192 and 4H. Rock singer Robert Plant lived in the area as a teenager during the early 1960s.

At 316 metres (1,037 ft) above sea level, Walton Hill is the highest point in the range of hills in northern Worcestershire known as the Clent Hills. It is the highest point for 21 miles (34 km) in all directions, and as such commands an excellent panorama. Its neighbours include Clent Hill, Wychbury Hill (which is hidden from view by Clent Hill), Calcot Hill, and Romsley Hill. The summit of the hill is open grassland and heath, which was commonland of the manor of Clent. This became a regulated common in 1935, as a result of action by Bromsgrove Rural District Council, and was given to the National Trust in 1959. Woodlands on the side of the hill in the Clatterbach valley were bought by Worcestershire County Council in 1957 and given by it to the National Trust in 1959.

The Clent Hills lie 10 miles (16 km) south-west of Birmingham city centre in Clent, Worcestershire, England. The closest towns are Stourbridge and Halesowen, both in the West Midlands conurbation (and also historically in Worcestershire). The Clent Hills range consists of, in order from north-west to south-east: Wychbury Hill, Clent Hill (and Adams Hill), and Walton Hill (and Calcot Hill). The north Worcestershire range of hills continues eastwards to include Romsley Hill, Waseley Hills and the Lickey Hills.Clent Hill is the most popular hillwalking hill in the range, although it is not often mentioned because the whole area is referred to as Clent Hills. Just under a million visitors a year are estimated to come to the hills, making them Worcestershire's most popular non-paying attraction.

Hunnington is a village and civil parish in the Bromsgrove District of Worcestershire, England, close to the border with West Midlands, and just south of Halesowen. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 552.

Romsley is a village and civil parish in the Bromsgrove District of Worcestershire, England, on the east side of the Clent Hills about 4 miles south of Halesowen. In 2001 it had a population of 1,601.The parish church, dedicated to Saint Kenelm is a Grade I listed building. The nave of the church continues directly into the chancel, both are from the 12th century and built of red sandstone. A 15th-century tower is of greenish sandstone, and the church has a timber porch. The chancel is built over a crypt that once contained the shrine of St Kenelm. A spring marks the reputed site of his martyrdom. Hammer Hill House in Romsley, built in 1923, was designed by Clough Williams-Ellis.The village and its area attract walkers, campers, and caravanners on the Clent and Walton Hills and on the Cuckoos Corner site. The main road that runs through Romsley is called Bromsgrove Road. There are limited local amenities including a post office, a butcher, a pub-restaurant, and a hairdresser. The village is served by the 147 bus service which connects the village to Halesowen and Catshill. It is operated by Worcestershire County Council, but is to be taken over by Kev's Bus and extended to Bromsgrove Railway Station on 26 February 2018.Romsley features in Geoffrey Hill's long poem The Triumph of Love: Spraddled ridge- village sacred to the boy-martyr, Kenelm, his mouth full of blood and toffee.

Lutley is an area of Halesowen in the West Midlands, England. Site of a mill, called the Lutley Mill, also the name of a local Pub. Lutley Mill is situated on Puddings Brook. The Lutley Gutter runs through Lutley.

Hunnington railway station was a railway station in the village of Hunnington, near Halesowen, England, on the Great Western Railway & Midland Railway's Joint Halesowen Railway line from Old Hill to Longbridge. The station had only a single platform but had its own sidings, which served the now closed Blue Bird Toffee factory. Advertised public passenger services were withdrawn in 1919 but workmen's trains continued until 1958.Unlike most of the other former stations and infrastructure of the Halesowen Railway, Hunnington station building still remains as a private residence.

Richmond School for Boys was founded and built on Richmond Street as one of two new secondary schools located in Halesowen, West Midlands, England. Richmond School for Boys and its twin Walton School for Girls were built during the 1930s as segregated Secondary modern schools to serve the expanding Black Country town of Halesowen. In September 1985 Richmond Boys School along with the nearby Walton Girls School merged to form a single school for both boys and girls which was to be housed within the former Richmond School for Boys site, which was renamed, and known today as Windsor High School. The school initially opened to pupils aged 11 upwards, before becoming a 13-18 comprehensive in September 1972 when three-tier education was introduced in Halesowen. Another reorganisation in September 1982 saw the age range altered to 11-16, with two younger year groups being added but the sixth form being closed as all of Halesowen's sixth form facilities were relocated to an expanded Halesowen College. Expansion to the existing Richmond School buildings accommodated the now increased intake of pupils, while the former Walton School for Girls located on Highfields Lane became a second campus forming part of Halesowen College for 18 years before being demolished in 2002 to be redeveloped for housing.

Between the late 11th century and 1844, the English county of Shropshire (or Salop) possessed a large exclave within the present-day Black Country and surrounding area. This territory was gained from neighbouring Worcestershire, and the exclave's border corresponded with the medieval Manor of Hala (or Halas, Hales). Shropshire (Detached) contained the townships of (what are now known as) Halesowen, Oldbury, Warley Salop, Ridgacre, Hunnington, Romsley and Langley. The exceptions were Cradley, Lutley and Warley Wigorn, which were exclaves or enclaves still aligned with the original county. Bounded entirely by Staffordshire and Worcestershire, Hala was part of Brimstree hundred, and totally detached from the rest of Shropshire. Bridgnorth, the nearest town within the main body of Shropshire, is 16.8 miles (27.03 km) away from Halesowen, whilst the county town of Shrewsbury is 34.6 miles (55.62 km) away.In 1844, following enactment of the Counties (Detached Parts) Act 1844, Shropshire (Detached) was reunited with Worcestershire and remained within the original county until 1974. Halesowen and Oldbury are currently part of the metropolitan County of West Midlands,

Windsor High School is a secondary school with academy status located on Richmond Street, Halesowen, West Midlands, England. It is among the largest schools in the region, with capacity for 1,700 pupils aged 11 to 18, and is heavily over-subscribed.

Cradley Town Football Club is a football club based in Cradley, near Halesowen in the West Midlands. They are currently members of the Midland League Division One and play at Beeches View.
