Walton Hill

The Clent Hills lie 10 miles (16 km) south-west of Birmingham city centre in Clent, Worcestershire, England. The closest towns are Stourbridge and Halesowen, both in the West Midlands conurbation (and also historically in Worcestershire). The Clent Hills range consists of, in order from north-west to south-east: Wychbury Hill, Clent Hill (and Adams Hill), and Walton Hill (and Calcot Hill). The north Worcestershire range of hills continues eastwards to include Romsley Hill, Waseley Hills and the Lickey Hills.Clent Hill is the most popular hillwalking hill in the range, although it is not often mentioned because the whole area is referred to as Clent Hills. Just under a million visitors a year are estimated to come to the hills, making them Worcestershire's most popular non-paying attraction.

Uffmoor Wood is a semi-natural woodland in Worcestershire, in the English Midlands. It is one of over a thousand woods cared for by the Woodland Trust. The wood has an area of 84.84 hectares (209.6 acres), and grid reference SO952811. Sitting at the foot of the Clent Hills and about 3 km southwest of Halesowen, Uffmoor Wood is a popular recreational destination for local people. Adjacent to Hagley Woods, with its mystery of 'Who put Bella in the Wych Elm?', and the site of several pre-war murders, Uffmoor has developed a reputation for the supernatural.In May 2017 the Trust temporarily suspended public access to the wood because of misbehaviour including dirt bike scrambling, drug peddling and public sexual acts.

Bromsgrove is a constituency in Worcestershire represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2010 by Sajid Javid of the Conservative Party. Javid formerly served as Chancellor of the Exchequer, Home Secretary and Health Secretary.

The folly castle in the park of Hagley Hall is a Grade II* listed building and the largest building in Hagley Park. It was designed by Sanderson Miller for George Lyllelton in the middle of the 18th century to look like a small ruined medieval castle.

Bell End is a village in the English county of Worcestershire. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3 km) south-east of Hagley on the A491, north of Bromsgrove and close to Kidderminster, Stourbridge and Halesowen. It lies in the local government District of Bromsgrove. The village lies about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) east of Belbroughton. On the western side of the village is Bell Hall, a Victorian Gothic mansion on the site of the original manor house. It was built in 1847 for Charles Noel, later a High Sheriff of Worcestershire, by the architect Edward Smith of Oldswinford. In 2010 the property was offered for sale at £3.5m.The village shares its name with the British slang for the glans penis.

The Castlebourne folly in the parish of Belbroughton, Worcestershire, England, was built as a sham castle towards the end of the eighteenth century and is similar in age and design to Clent Castle another folly about 2.2 miles (3.5 km) away in an adjacent parish of Clent. In the middle nineteenth century a house, Castlebourne (originally Castle Bourne) was built in a Gothic castle style close to the folly and connected by a wall about 20 yards (18 m) long and 5 yards (4.6 m) high with an archway. The folly, wall and house are designated as a Grade II listed building by English Heritage.The folly, and the later house, were built on a mound. The folly has a square three-bay plan. The two outer bays are formed by large circular two story corner towers. On the south side, the two towers have pointed windows (some blind), while on the first floor they have quatrefoil windows and relief mouldings above in form of Maltese crosses. The central bay has a blocked pointed doorway with hood mould and returns. The floor above the doorway has a blind pointed first floor window. The roof is of slate behind embattled parapets. The wall connecting the folly to the house faces south-west and has an embattled parapet above a moulded cornice.

Clent Castle is a sham ruin castellated folly in the grounds of Clent Grove (the site of Sunfield Children's Home) that is situated opposite the Fountain Inn on Adams Hill in Clent, Worcestershire, England. It was built in the late 18th century by Thomas Liell, and it has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II listed building.English Heritage describes the building thus: Folly Tower 150 Yards South of Clent Grove Grade: II Date Listed: 29 March 1983Folly tower. Late C18. Handmade brick with stone dressings. Twin round towers linked by lower central section. Three storeys with corbel table and embattled parapets. Window openings have stone architraves. Towers have pointed-arched windows to front and sides, quatrefoil windows at first floor level and windows shaped like Maltese crosses above. Linking section has a pointed archway on the ground floor and a pointed first floor window. This folly tower appears to have been of similar design to that at Castle Bourne, Bell End, Belbroughton

Hayley Green is a suburb of Halesowen in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, West Midlands, England, located to the south-west of Halesowen town centre. Its focal points are the Fox Hunt public house run by the Harvester restaurant chain and a row of small shops on the A456/B4183 roundabout. It has mainly owner-occupied housing stock, including the Causey Farm estate, St Kenelms Avenue and Squirrels estate, with a small 1940s municipal housing estate off Uffmoor Lane. The population for the appropriate Dudley ward (Hayley Green and Cradley South), taken at the 2011 census was 11,862.The busy A456 Manor Way/Hagley Road is its main road, to the south of which is mostly green belt countryside mainly agricultural land next to the Clent Hills and the 300 acres (1.2 km2) Uffmoor Wood, an ancient woodland with public access. Hayley Green is located on the West Midlands/Worcestershire border, with Hagley at the eastern end of the A456. Hagley Golf and Country Club borders the suburb. The area is largely within the ancient township of Lutley, which was a distantly detached part of the manor of the Deanery of Wolverhampton. The area is served by Lutley Primary School. It is served by bus routes 192 and 4H. Rock singer Robert Plant lived in the area as a teenager during the early 1960s.

Sunfield is a Private special school, Children's Home and charity on the border of Worcestershire and the West Midlands in England. It was founded in 1930 and now supports boys and girls, aged 6 – 19 years, with complex learning needs, including autism.

Clent is a village and civil parish in the Bromsgrove District of Worcestershire, England, southwest of Birmingham and close to the edge of the West Midlands conurbation. At the 2001 census it had a population of 2,600.

Holy Cross is one of five hamlets in village of Clent in the county of Worcestershire, England. The hamlet consists of housing apart from the Bell and Cross public house, Clent Parish Hall and Clent Primary School.

Hagley Park is the estate of Hagley Hall in Worcestershire, England. The grounds comprise 350 acres (1.4 km2) of undulating deer park on the lower slopes of the Clent Hills. They were redeveloped and landscaped between about 1739 and 1764, with follies designed by John Pitt (of Encombe), Thomas Pitt, James "Athenian" Stuart, and Sanderson Miller. Planned as part of an 18th-century enthusiasm for landscape gardening, especially among poets, the park brought many distinguished literary visitors to admire the views, as well as poetic tributes to their beauty and Classical taste.
