Lambrick Park Secondary School is a four-year (grades 9-12) public secondary school located in Saanich, British Columbia, Canada. It is on the traditional lands of the Lekwungen people. The school, part of Greater Victoria's School District 61, opened for the 1976-77 academic year and had its first graduates in 1978. Lambrick Park is part of the family of schools that include Torquay Elementary School and Gordon Head Middle School.

Reynolds Secondary School is a public secondary school in the Greater Victoria suburb of Saanich, British Columbia, Canada. The school is known for its numerous specialized programs including Flexible Studies, French immersion, Robotics club, Band, and its Centre for Soccer Excellence. Reynolds also offers many career planning programs such as CP Theatre, CP Art, CP Recreation, CP Tourism, CP Journalism and co-op. Reynolds is an active supporter of the Cops for Cancer fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. The school holds various fundraisers such as car washes, head shaves, and bake sales to raise money for the cause. In 2010, students and staff raised over $52,000, $80,000 in 2011 and over $100,000 in 2012.

Spectrum Community School is a high school in the Greater Victoria suburb of Saanich, British Columbia, Canada. It is part of the Greater Victoria School District and serves the western portion of the district. Spectrum was established in 1974 as a replacement for Mount View High School and the school moved into the new facility in 1976. In 2005 a $5.5 million addition and renovation was completed. There are four computer labs and an active interactive whiteboard resources program. The school has an Aboriginal Nations Education program and accepts international students from the Victoria International High School program. The school's auditorium is a venue for the Greater Victoria Performing Arts festival. In 2006 students voted to select a team name and the nickname "Thunder" was chosen.

Gordon Head is a seaside neighbourhood in the municipality of Saanich in Greater Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Gordon Head lies north of McKenzie Avenue and east of the Blenkinsop Valley. The University of Victoria is located partly within Gordon Head along the southeast boundary. Finnerty Road separates Gordon Head from the adjacent neighbourhood of Cadboro Bay. The local area is dominated physically by Mount Douglas (SENĆOŦEN: PKOLS), a coastline along Haro Strait, and the central plateau.

Rithet's Bog is a restored lowland peat bog located in Saanich, British Columbia, Canada. The bog and its surroundings are protected as Rithet's Bog Conservation Area, a municipal park which covers an area of approximately 38 hectares (94 acres). The land was donated to the District of Saanich by the Guinness family in 1994. While the landscape was significantly altered for agricultural use beginning in the late 1800s, extensive restoration efforts have helped the bog ecosystems return.

Mount Douglas Secondary School is a four-year public secondary school located in Saanich, British Columbia, Canada, with around 1,200 students on roll. The school is part of the Greater Victoria School District (SD61), and is known locally as "Mount Doug". In 2003, the school changed from a Senior Secondary model, teaching grades 11 and 12, back to the current and original grades 9 to 12 structure. The school was founded in 1931, and over the years has occupied several buildings beginning at the current Cedar Hill Middle School Campus. In 1970, it relocated to the former Gordon Head Junior Secondary School building after that school relocated to the newly constructed Arbutus Middle School campus.

Claremont Secondary School (CSS) is a public secondary school in Saanich, a municipality of Greater Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It is operated by School District 63 Saanich. CSS is one of three secondary schools in the school district and the one serving the southern end of the Saanich Peninsula. It is fed from Royal Oak Middle School and is an active participant in the Saanich International Student Program (SISP), with over 100 international students from nine countries enrolled at CSS for the 2013-14 school year.CSS offers a variety of special academic programs, including: study/work programs in Quebec and France; a vibrant literary and creative writing environment; foreign languages with a focus on French and Spanish; Advanced Placement courses in sciences, liberal arts, and mathematics; and post secondary credit courses in accounting, criminology, and secondary school apprenticeships; and specialty and performing arts (see below).

St. Andrew's, an independent co-educational Catholic High School of approximately 475 Grade 8–12 students, serves young men and women from Greater Victoria.

On June 28, 2022, a shootout occurred between two gunmen and responding police officers following a robbery of a Bank of Montreal branch in Saanich, British Columbia, Canada. Both gunmen, later identified as twin brothers Mathew and Isaac Auchterlonie, were killed by police, while six officers were injured, three of them severely. Following an investigation by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, it was alleged that the robbery had been staged as a means of drawing police officers into an armed confrontation. The Auchterlonie brothers had been motived by Canadian sentiment and an opposition to government firearms. The bank was selected at random by the brothers after they abandoned a larger attack planned for 2023.

Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary is a nature reserve located in Saanich, British Columbia. The sanctuary includes a lake, adjacent marshy lowlands, and the Nature House, as well as a good part of the summit regions of Christmas Hill. The nature sanctuary consists of two physically and ecologically distinct areas: the low wetland area surrounding Swan Lake, and the rocky Garry oak-forested hilltop of Christmas Hill. The two areas are joined by a connecting corridor trail along the Nelthorpe Road allowance, crossing McKenzie Avenue at a pedestrian-controlled crosswalk. Portions of the corridor trail are on the roadside, and are identified by signs with a hiker symbol and arrow to indicate the direction. The sanctuary land surrounding the lake covers 43.4 hectares (107 acres) in addition to the 9.4-hectare (23-acre) lake. In the winter flooding stage, the lake can cover up to 32.4 hectares (80 acres) of the low-lying lands around the lake.

Centennial Stadium is a stadium located on the campus of the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The facility was built as a 1967 Canadian Centennial project to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Canadian confederation.The original seating capacity was 3,000. The venue was renovated and temporarily expanded to 30,000 seats to serve as the main stadium of the 1994 Commonwealth Games. After the Commonwealth Games, the temporary seats were removed, leaving 2,000 new seats opposite the main grandstand for a total of 5,000 seats. The stadium features a 400m synthetic rubberized track surface, as well as separate areas for long jump/triple jump, high jump, pole vault, discus, hammer, shot put, and javelin. Inside the track is a natural grass field for sports such as football and soccer. Centennial Stadium is the home of the Victoria Vikes soccer team of U Sports Canada, and Victoria Highlanders FC of League1 British Columbia. It was also used as a soccer venue for the 2002 FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship.

Mount Tolmie, elevation 120 m (394 ft), is a small mountain and surrounding neighbourhood in Saanich, Greater Victoria, British Columbia. It is located on the ancestral lands of the Saanich and Songhees people. The majority of the mountain forms Mount Tolmie Park, a municipal park, while the south side has several private residences. The peak of the mountain is known for its excellent views of Victoria, the Olympic Mountains, and the San Juan Islands.
