Teater Tribunalen (commonly known as Tribunalen) is a popular independent Swedish theatre group in Stockholm. The theatre group was created in 1995 by a group of students from the Swedish National Academy of Mime and Acting ("Scenskolan") in Malmö and by students from the Swedish Institute of Dramatic Art (Dramatiska Institutet) in Stockholm. Teater Tribunalen is an outspoken political theatre group interested in influencing the society by challenging politic power, the government and nationally-debated issues with their work. In the spring of 2012, Ellen Nyman will direct “A performance of Swedish Arms Exports”( En föreställning om svensk vapenexport) at Teater Tribunalen. The goal is to initiate a national referendum on Swedish arms export.

Zinkensdamm is a Stockholm metro station in Södermalm, Stockholm, Sweden. The station was opened on 5 April 1964 as part of the first stretch of the Red line, between T-Centralen and Fruängen. The surrounding area is known for the Zinkensdamms IP sports grounds, the Tantolunden Park, the Drakenberg area, and the STF Zinken hostel.

Riddarfjärden (Swedish: [ˈrɪ̂dːarˌfjæːɖɛn], "The Knight Firth") is the easternmost bay of Lake Mälaren in central Stockholm. Stockholm was founded in 1252 on an island in the stream where Lake Mälaren (from the west) drains into the Baltic Sea (to the east); today the island is called Stadsholmen and constitutes Stockholm's Old Town. Zinkensdamms idrottsplats, usually Zinkensdamms IP or colloquially Zinken or Zinkens, is a sports ground in Södermalm in central Stockholm, Sweden. The ground was designed by architect Paul Hedqvist and was inaugurated on 18 May 1937 with a football game between Reymersholms IK and Djurgårdens IF.Nowadays, it is mainly known for bandy, because Hammarby IF, playing in the highest bandy league in Sweden (Elitserien), use it as its home ground. The ice can be artificially frozen since 1986. It is also used as the home ground for association football team Reymersholms IK and American football team Stockholm Mean Machines. Matches were played at the 1997 European Lacrosse Championships.

Folkoperan is an opera house in Stockholm, Sweden, at Hornsgatan 72 in the southern district of Södermalm. It is one of Stockholm's most successful opera houses in terms of audience attendance, and is considered Sweden's most important stage for freelance opera singers and musicians.

The Blue Hall (Swedish: Blå hallen) is the main hall of the Stockholm City Hall best known as the banquet hall for the annual Nobel Banquet, and also used for state visits, student balls, jubilees and other large events.

Eldkvarn was a grand gristmill in central Stockholm that burned in 1878 — an event which was known as "the fire of the century". It was located where today the Stockholm City Hall stands. The mill was built in 1805 for Abraham Niclas Edelcrantz with a steam engine built by Samuel Owen. At the time of the blaze, the fire was known as the fire of the century, because of its ferocity and the fact that it could be seen from many points of the city, dominating the skyline. It was a moment that gripped the city in horror, as citizens watched the fire rage and fill the night sky.

The City of Stockholm (Swedish: Stockholms stad) was a city in Sweden and 1863–1970 a city municipality for Stockholm, subordinate to the Office of the Governor of Stockholm until 1967 and then part of Stockholm County.

Stockholm City Hall (Swedish: Stockholms stadshus, Stadshuset locally) is the seat of Stockholm Municipality in Stockholm, Sweden. It stands on the eastern tip of Kungsholmen island, next to Riddarfjärden's northern shore and facing the islands of Riddarholmen and Södermalm. It houses offices and conference rooms as well as ceremonial halls. It is the venue of the Nobel Prize banquet and is one of Stockholm's major tourist attractions.

Stadshusbron (Swedish: "The City Hall Bridge"), formerly known as Nya Kungsholmsbron ("The New Kungsholm Bridge") is a bridge in central Stockholm, Sweden located just north of the Stockholm City Hall. Stretching over Klara sjö ("Lake Klara"), it connects mainland Norrmalm on the eastern shore to the island Kungsholmen on the western shore. Strong population growth on Kungsholmen caused a first bridge to be built on the location in 1669–1672. It was a 500 metres long pontoon bridge forming an angle on the southern side of the strait, at the time presumably the longest bridge in Europe. It was rebuilt first in 1709 and a second time in 1766–1772. By that time, however, the strait had been made considerably narrower by land fillings. The original bridge was replaced by a steel swing bridge in 1868. In connection to the construction of the City Hall in 1917–1919, the present 19 metres wide double-leafed drawbridge was built. The drawbridge was finally closed in 1949.

Klara Sjö (Swedish for "Lake Klara") is a canal in central Stockholm, Sweden. Separating the island Kungsholmen from the northern city district Norrmalm, the canal connects Barnhusviken to Riddarfjärden. Together with Barnhusviken, Karlbergssjön, and Karlbergskanalen, it thus forms part of the nameless body of water which separates Kungsholmen from the mainland districts north and east of it, Norrmalm and Vasastaden. Four bridges stretches over the canal: Stadshusbron, Klarabergsviadukten, Kungsbron, and Blekholmsbron; the first of which limit the maximum height in the canal to 3.3 m.Several prominent buildings are located near the canal: Most notably the Stockholm City Hall south of it, but also the Seraphim Hospital (Serafimerlasarettet) on the western shore, in operation 1752-1990.The name of the canal is derived from the vicinity to the Klara district, in its turn named after a former monastery dedicated to Saint Clare. The canal is called a lake simply because it used to be a lake until continuous land fillings transformed it into a narrow strait during the 18th century. (See Stadshusbron for further details.) Several local streets and other structures are still named after the small island Blekholmen once located here and today part of the eastern shore.

Kungsholm Church (Swedish: Kungsholms kyrka) or Ulrika Eleonora Church (Swedish: Ulrika Eleonora kyrka) is a church building at Bergsgatan on the island of Kungsholmen in Stockholm, Sweden. Belonging to the Västermalm Parish of the Church of Sweden, the church was inaugurated on 2 December 1688 (Old Style).
