Velloor Perunthatta Siva Temple is located at Velloor, near to Thalayolaparambu in Kottayam district. The presiding deity of the temple is Shiva, located in separate sanctum sanatoriums, facing east. It is believed that this temple is one of the 108 Shiva temples of Kerala and is installed by sage Parasurama dedicated to Shiva. It is one of the oldest Shiva temple in Kottayam District.

Kunnathu Sri Mahadeva Temple (കുന്നപ്പുറം, കുന്നത്ത്കാവ്)is located in the city of Thiruvananthapuram at Kudappanakunnu in Thiruvananthapuram district. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva, located in separate sanctum sanatoriums, facing east. It is believed that this temple is one of the 108 Shiva temples of Kerala and is installed by sage Parasurama dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located near the Kudappanakkunnu Civil Station on the Peroorkada-Mannanthala road. The main shrine and its surroundings however has its old charm punctured by crude constructions. Other deities in the Kunnathu temples worshiped are Ganapathy and Vasuki (snake). Annual festival of the temple celebrates in the Malayalam month of Dhanu (month) (December–January).

St. Thomas Schools is a privately-owned coeducational boarding high school, at Thiruvananthapuram in the south Indian state of Kerala. AKG Nagar is a residential locality within Peroorkada, Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) in the Indian state of Kerala. There are 102 residential houses. Kerala Law Academy (KLA), also referred to as the Kerala Law Academy Law College, is a self financing law college in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Founded in 1967, it is the first, and was for many years the only, self financing law institution in the state. It is accredited by the Bar Council of India. and affiliated to the University of Kerala. KLA has both the three-year and the five-year LL.B programs (under the graduate stream of study) and the LL.M and M.B.L programs (under the post-graduate stream of study). The college has an active Moot Court Society and students of the society has also participated in various competitions held outside India. Mannanmoola is a residential locality near Peroorkada to the north eastern part of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) in the Indian state of Kerala, on the way to vattiyoorkavu. Once a remote village, Mannanmoola has seen rapid development over the last decade with the setting up of several residential colonies. Mannanmoola has one boundary demarked by the Killi River, which is crossed by the Mannanmoola Bridge en route to Vattiyoorkavu. Mar Theophilus Training College is a Syro-Malankara Catholic Church teacher training college. It is administered by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Trivandrum. Major Arch Bishop H.B. Baselios Cardinal Cleemmis Catholicos of Thiruvanathapuram is the Patron and Manager of the college. MTTC was in 1956 as an affiliated College to the University of Kerala, with J.Y. Thampi Haris as the first principal. Dr. K.Y.Benedict is the current principal. MTTC offers courses for Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees. At present the college has 21 teaching faculty faculty members, 16 in B.Ed and 5 in M.Ed. It has affiliation for D.El.Ed. too. The present building complex and campus were constructed between 1999 and 2001, in order to facilitate MTTC becoming the first college in Kerala State with all the specifications set by the National Council of Teacher Education. The college offers Ph.D. research facility as a centre of Research under University of Kerala.
