Torslanda Church

Torslanda Airport — (Swedish: Torslanda Flygplats or Torslanda Flygfält) served the city of Gothenburg, Sweden, as its main airport from 1923 to 1977, when the Göteborg Landvetter Airport was opened. The airport closed soon afterwards.

Hjuvik is a locality situated in Göteborg Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 3,928 inhabitants in 2010 in an area of 279,01 hectares. It is situated in the south west corner of Hisingen, north west of the oil refineries. Hjuvik consists mainly of villas, and the area is seen as exclusive due to its scenic location. From the hilltops one has a view of the North Sea. The ferry terminal to the Öckerö islands, located on Lilla Varholmen, is connected to Hjuvik via an embankment/road. The eastern parts of Hjuvik are dominated by an ex-military area now owned by Myrsjöhus construction and development company. The Torslanda Battery used to be stationed in the military area with a measuring station and two 24mm canons in armoured towers. Hjuvik used to be a fishing community with herring salting houses and train oil distillation houses. Remnants of this era can be seen on the island of Smedmansholmen west of Hjuvik where a number of foundations and old jetties can be found. The only remaining herring salting house left in region is located on the nearby island of Kalven (Kalvsund) in Öckerö Municipality. Settlement was previously rather sparse but since the Second World War more and more summerhouses were constructed in the area. The local farmers sold unfarmable land on the hillsides. In the 1960s many more villas were built. Most summerhouses have been made into permanent dwellings and a school has been constructed.

The Volvo Museum is in Gothenburg, Sweden. It covers the development of Sweden's leading vehicle manufacturer Volvo, from the first ÖV 4 to the current cars, trucks, buses and other products. The museum also has displays of Volvo Aero and Volvo Penta products, and many other exhibits, including the joint desk of Assar Gabrielsson and Gustaf Larson from the pioneering years of the company.

Preemraff Göteborg is an oil refinery in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. Preem is the largest supplier of petroleum products in Sweden and its two refineries, Preemraff Göteborg in Gothenburg and Preemraff Lysekil in Lysekil represent 80% of Sweden's refining capacity. The Gothenburg refinery is certified according to ISO 14001. The facility produces liquefied petroleum gas, gasoline, diesel and heating oil for both the Swedish and foreign markets.Construction started in 1965 and refining started in 1967. Originally owned by BP, it was sold to OK Petroleum when BP decided to leave the Swedish market in 1991. In 1994, Sheik Mohammed Al Amoudi from Saudi Arabia bought OK Petroleum, and in 1996 changed the name to Preem Raffinaderi.The port for crude oil tankers (allowing 19 metres (62 ft) draft) is around 6 km (3.7 mi) west, from where there is a pipeline connection. Refined products are shipped from a port near the Preemraff, or by road or rail connection.

The Björlanda Church (Swedish: Björlanda kyrka) is a medieval church in Björlanda, Gothenburg Municipality, western Sweden. It is located on the Hisingen island and belongs to the parish of Torslanda-Björlanda in the Diocese of Gothenburg.

Lilla Varholmen is an island in Gothenburg's northern archipelago. The island is attached to Hisingen via a bridge and a car ferry service to Öckerö and Björkö is operated from here. The first lighthouse was established in 1889. The current lighthouse is from 1927.

Trulsegården is a locality situated in Göteborg Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 211 inhabitants in 2010.
