Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (Manhattan)

55 Central Park West is a 19-floor housing cooperative located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City. The building was designed by the architectural firm Schwartz & Gross, and built in 1929. The building is a contributing property within the Central Park West Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building holds significance in American popular culture because the plot of the 1984 film Ghostbusters revolves heavily around it. Although the building does not have an official name, it is often colloquially referred to as The Ghostbusters Building, The Shandor Building, The Shandor Apartments or Spook Central, the fictional names it is given in the film.

The Prasada at 50 Central Park West in Manhattan, a luxury apartment house built between 1904 and 1907, and is a contributing building in the Central Park West Historic District. It cost $250,000 (the equivalent of more than $7 million in 2022). Originally, it contained only three luxury apartments per floor, an eight-room apartment at the rear and two ten-room apartments spanning the front, facing the Central Park. All the principal rooms throughout the building command an extended view of Central Park. Servants's rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, etc., were located facing the court. The building ranges round an open court, with stained-glass skylights that illuminate the lobby. The structure is a bold essay in the French Second Empire style and was one of three that established Central Park West as an avenue of tall apartment blocks, in this case of twelve storeys.Extensive alterations in 1919 removed the mansard roof that was a prominent feature when viewed from the park and provided more modern facilities.Residents and guests enter through an impressive recessed portico supported by four two-story banded pillars styled as Roman Doric columns. Harperly Hall (also known as 41 Central Park West) is an apartment building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City. The building is located along prestigious Central Park West and was built in 1910, it opened in 1911. Cast in the Arts and Crafts style, a rarity for New York City, Harperly Hall was designed by Henry W. Wilkinson. The structure was listed as a contributing property to the U.S. federal government designated Central Park West Historic District in 1982 when the district joined the National Register of Historic Places.

The Meeting House for the New York Society of Ethical Culture is an Art Nouveau building located within the Central Park West Historic District in New York City. The building was designed by Robert D. Kohn.

The Congregation Habonim was founded in 1939 by German-Jewish immigrants who fled Nazi persecution. The founding rabbi was Hugo Hahn and his son-in-law Bernard Cohn. The current building was completed in 1958. It is located on the Upper West Side of New York City

Café des Artistes was a fine restaurant at One West 67th Street in Manhattan and was owned by George Lang. He closed the restaurant for vacation at the beginning of August 2009 and, while away, then 85-year-old Lang decided to keep it closed permanently. He announced the closure on August 28, 2009. His wife, Jenifer Lang, had been the managing director of the restaurant since 1990.

50 West 66th Street is a skyscraper planned for the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. It is being developed by Extell Development Company and designed by Snøhetta.The building will contain setbacks, private loggias, chamfered corners, and a 16th-floor communal terrace. The facade will be made of limestone and burnished bronze beneath the 16th floor and glass with burnished-bronze chamfers above that floor. The building was originally to be 25 stories, but the plans were later changed. When plans for an enlarged 775-foot (236 m), 69-story tower were released in late 2017, the tower faced immediate opposition by those living in the neighborhood. The city approved the tower, overriding neighborhood opposition, in December 2018. After neighborhood groups filed a lawsuit to block the project, claiming that increased height was due to misuse of mechanical space, the New York City Board of Standards and Appeals voted to approve the building permit in January 2020.

The West 67th Street Artists' Colony is a group of structures in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City, New York, US. Developed as an art colony starting in 1901, it consists of apartment buildings with artists' studios, located on a single city block of 67th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue. The buildings were mostly developed by artists' cooperatives and are generally made of stone and brick. Most of the buildings in the colony are located on the north side of the street, with large north-facing windows in the rear to take advantage of sunlight. Seven apartment buildings and one institutional building are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) as a historic district, the West 67th Street Artists' Colony Historic District. The colony was developed amid a shortage of suitable housing for artists in New York City, at a time when the adjacent portion of the Upper West Side was relatively sparsely developed. The first building in the colony was the 67th Street Studios at 27 West 67th Street, a cooperative developed between 1901 and 1903. The success of the 67th Street Studios led to the development of three more co-op apartment buildings between 1903 and 1907; the Swiss House, a clubhouse, was also built during that period. Two additional buildings, including the Hotel des Artistes, were built in the mid-1910s, followed by two more in the late 1920s and early 1930s. The buildings had become conventional, upper-class co-ops by the late 20th century.

Tavern on the Green is an American cuisine restaurant in Central Park in Manhattan, New York City, near the intersection of Central Park West and West 66th Street on the Upper West Side. The restaurant, housed in a former sheepfold, has been operated by Jim Caiola and David Salama since 2014. From its opening in 1934 to its closure in 2009, the restaurant changed ownership several times. From 2010 until 2012, the building was used as a public visitor center and gift shop run by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. After a multimillion-dollar renovation, Caiola and Salama reopened Tavern on the Green to the public on April 24, 2014. Throughout its history, Tavern on the Green has been frequented by prominent actors, musicians, politicians, and writers. It has also received several awards, including those for the best restaurant in the Upper West Side, and the best wine menu.

The Paleozoic Museum was a proposed museum of natural history in Manhattan near Central Park. Planning and initial construction for the museum proceeded in 1868–1870; English sculptor Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins planned and began creation of the dioramas, and the foundations for an eventual structure were laid at Central Park West and 63rd Street. The field of paleontology was in its infancy then, but interest was high for a museum displaying the latest findings. The museum never came to fruition after a combination of political resistance and a bizarre case of vandalism in 1871 that destroyed the dinosaur models that were prepared to be displayed in the museum.

The St. Nicholas Rink, also called the St. Nicholas Arena, was an indoor ice rink, and later a boxing arena in New York City from 1896 until 1962. The rink was one of the earliest indoor ice rinks made of mechanically frozen ice in North America (others included the North Avenue Ice Palace in Baltimore and the Ice Palace in New York, both opened in 1894), enabling a longer season for skating sports. It was demolished in the 1980s. As a rink, it was used for pleasure skating, and the sports of ice hockey and skating. It was an important rink in the development of both sports in the United States. As a boxing arena, it was one of the first legal venues for boxing and remained a busy venue until its closing, although as the popularity of boxing grew, the sport outgrew the capacity of the arena to hold title fights. The arena hosted live boxing on television.

Hotel des Artistes is a historic residential building located at 1 West 67th Street in New York City near the west side of Central Park, Manhattan. Completed in 1917, the ornate 17-story, 119-unit Gothic-style building has been home to a long list of writers, artists, and politicians over the years.
