The Ministry of Environment and Energy of the Republic of Croatia (Croatian: Ministarstvo zaštite okoliša i energetike) is the ministry in the Government of Croatia which is in charge of environmental protection. Under the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) governments the sector of Environmental and Nature Protection was always part of the Ministry of Construction and Spatial Planning, while in the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP) governments the sector split off and was given a separate ministry. The government agencies in the jurisdiction of the Ministry have included: Environmental Protection Agency (Croatian: Agencija za zaštitu okoliša) Agency for Real Estate Brokerage (Agencija za pravni promet i posredovanje nekretninama) State Geodetic Administration (Državna geodetska uprava) Croatian Geodetic Institute (Hrvatski geodetski institut)

Rudolf barracks (Croatian: Rudolfova vojarna) is historic army barracks site in Zagreb, Croatia, today serving for various public purposes. Barracks were built at the outskirts of contemporary Zagreb in 1888/1889, the same time as number of army barracks in the western part of Zagreb during Khuen Hedervary's rule in Croatia. It was named in honor of crown prince Rudolf of Austria who opened construction works in 1888.The complex was built as infantry barracks at the end of newly constructed Prilaz Avenue, effectively blocking further communication from city center towards Črnomerec, but its main building gave a monumental ending to Prilaz, similar to the way Zagreb Glavni railway station gave a monumental ending to three parks in center of the city. During history barracks were also called Zrinski barracks between World War I and World War II, and Marshal Tito barracks after World War II.Today only the main building and four auxiliary buildings are preserved, homing Croatian Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction, Tourism institute, Zagreb city planning department and Črnomerec district council. Main building is under protection as monument of architecture. After demolition of most of buildings and all walls surrounding the military complex in 1978, there was plan to build commercial and cultural center (1981) but the area eventually spontaneously became public park. The park with buildings didn't have a name until 2006 when a part of it was named Franjo Tuđman Square, the other part of it was named very long time before Trg Francuske Republike (Place de la République française), because of an old story about Madame du Barry.

The Institute of Croatian Language and Linguistics (Croatian: Institut za hrvatski jezik i jezikoslovlje) is an official institute in Croatia whose purpose is to preserve and foster the Croatian language. It traces its history back to 1948, when it was part of the Yugoslav Academy of Sciences and Arts (today's Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts). The modern institute dates back to Croatia's independence in 1991. The Institute publishes Rasprave, a biannual journal.

Zagreb Zapadni kolodvor (Croatian for Zagreb West station) is a railway station in the city of Zagreb, Croatia. The station opened in 1862, and was the city's main station until the opening of Zagreb Glavni railway station in 1892. The station was originally called Zagreb Južni kolodvor, or Agram Südbahnhof in German (Zagreb South station). In 1924 it was renamed Zagreb Sava, and in 1943 it received its current name Zagreb Zapadni. The station has retained its original appearance, and has been protected as a cultural monument since 1986. The building was renovated in 2007.

Church of Saint Blaise (Croatian: Crkva Svetog Blaža) is a Catholic parish church located in the Lower Town of Zagreb, Croatia. It is dedicated to the Saint Blaise, and was designed by the Croatian architect Viktor Kovačić in the eclectic style. It is notable for its cuppola, made out of reinforced concrete, first of its kind in the region.

The teaching hospital Sisters of Charity (Croatian: Klinički bolnički centar Sestre milosrdnice) in Zagreb, Croatia, is one of the oldest hospitals in southern Europe.

Dom sportova (lit. 'House of Sports'), is a multi-purpose indoor sports arena located in Zagreb, Croatia. The venue was built in 1972 on Trešnjevka, in the western part of the city. It has 32,000 m² of floorspace, and it features six halls. The seating capacity of the biggest two halls is 5,000 and 3,100. It is used for basketball, handball, volleyball, ice hockey, gymnastics, tennis, as well as concerts. It is the venue for the PBZ Zagreb Indoors men's tennis tournament. It also hosted the final tournament of the 1989 European Basketball Championship, in which the home team of Yugoslavia won the gold medal, the 2000 European Men's Handball Championship, the 2003 World Women's Handball Championship, the 2005 Women's European Volleyball Championship as well as the 2008 and 2013 European Figure Skating Championships.

The Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb (Croatian: Akademija likovnih umjetnosti u Zagrebu or ALU) is a Croatian art school based in Zagreb. It is one of the three art academies affiliated with the University of Zagreb, along with the Academy of Dramatic Art (ADU) and the Academy of Music (MUZA). The Academy was established in June 1907 as the Royal College for Arts and Crafts (Croatian: Kraljevsko zemaljsko više obrazovalište za umjetnost i umjetni obrt) and initially had three departments, for sculpting, painting and art education. Academy's first professors were Robert Frangeš-Mihanović, Rudolf Valdec, Robert Auer, Oton Iveković, Bela Čikoš Sesija, Menci Klement Crnčić and Branko Šenoa. The Academy is still based in its original location at 85 Ilica street in Zagreb. Since 1926 the architecture department was briefly active at the academy, and was headed by Drago Ibler. The graphic arts department was established in 1956, the restoration department in 1997 and the department for animation and new media in 1998. Today the academy has six departments, with a total of 365 students enrolled.

Tenth Gymnasium Ivan Supek (Croatian: X. gimnazija, Deseta gimnazija) is a high school in Zagreb, Croatia. It was named after Ivan Supek in 2007. After the school year 2023/24, 255 graduates of this gymnasium enrolled at an institution of higher learning in Croatia, or 93.75% of students who took up the nationwide Matura exams. The most common destinations for these students were the University of Zagreb faculties of economics, science, electrical engineering and computing, mechanical engineering and naval architecture, and humanities and social sciences.

The Zagreb Indoors (currently sponsored by PBZ) was a men's tennis event on the ATP Tour held in the Croatian capital of Zagreb. In 1996 and 1997 the tournament was named Croatian Indoors. From 2009 until 2015, it was a part of the ATP 250 Series and offered 250 ranking points. The tournament was played on a fast and hard indoor surface (RuKort) and featured both men's singles and men's doubles tournament. The Zagreb Indoors was held for the first time in nine years in 2006. The tournament was an ATP International Series tournament from 2006 to 2008. Previously it had been an ATP World Series event from 1996 to 1997. In 1998 tournament was moved to Split and was held for only one season under the name Croatian Indoors.

Exit Theatre (Croatian: Teatar Exit), sometimes stylized as EXIT, is an independent theatre in Zagreb, Croatia whose productions are mainly oriented towards adults. The theatre has won hundreds of awards and frequently performs abroad. In 2009, it was declared as one of top Croatian brands.

The Faculty of Architecture (Croatian: Arhitektonski fakultet, abbr: Af) is one of the faculties of the University of Zagreb. It is one of the biggest, and most esteemed schools of architecture in Southeastern Europe, as well as one of the biggest research-and-development institution in the fields of architecture and urban design in Croatia. The faculty aims to prepare experts to approach complex issues of architecture and urban design. The faculty building, which is located in Kačić-Miošić street in Lower Town in Zagreb, is shared with Facultiy of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Geodesy.
