Ruge Hall is an historic site located at 655 West Jefferson Street in Tallahassee, Florida. It serves as the Episcopal Diocese of Florida's center for ministry to Florida State University. On August 1, 1997, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Railroad Square Art District is an arts, culture and entertainment district of Tallahassee, Florida, located off Railroad Avenue (south of the Amtrak station and FAMU), filled with a variety of metal art sculptures and murals, and stores selling artwork and collectibles. Railroad Square is a WWII-era industrial warehouse park turned into an art district with more than 70 shops, galleries, and small businesses. It's known for its small locally owned shops, working artist studios, and alternative art scene. In 2021, a skateable art park was added in partnership with Team Pain. The skatepark features Florida's longest snake-run.

The Florida State University School of Information is a school within the Florida State University College of Communication and Information. It was founded in 1947, when Florida State University was founded, as the School of Library Training and Service (SOLTAS). It changed its name in 1968 to the School of Library Science. Another name change occurred in 1981 when the faculty voted to change the name to the School of Library and Information Science in preparation for the opening of the School's new building (the current facility) later in 1981. In 2004, the School changed its name to the College of Information.The school offers programs in Information Science and Information Technology. These programs are consistently top-ranked programs in the nation and have held such rankings for many years in the U.S. News & World Report. The college is currently ranked 13th overall nationally, the Services for Children and Youth specialization program ranked fifth, School Library Media program ranked first, and the Information Technology program ranked 9th.The College of Communication & Information offers an Information Technology program at the undergraduate level, an ALA accredited online Master of Science in Information (MSI), a Masters in Information Technology degree (MSIT), a specialist degree, and a doctoral degree. The undergraduate courses are delivered as face to face instruction. At the graduate level, the courses are offered either in a face to face format or online. All graduate courses are offered online at some time to enable students from around the world to participate in the program.

Student housing at Florida State University is governed by the Office of University Housing, and provides housing for undergraduates, graduate students, and professional students on and off-campus. Overall about 85% of first time in college students live in residence halls. In addition over 20% of all undergraduates live in student housing.Facilities at Florida State include 18 residence halls on campus with 6,712 residents. Undergraduates live in a majority of the residence halls.In 2009, the university celebrated the completion of a 15-year project that renovated the seven historic residence halls (built before 1950). The interiors were modernized while the original facades were retained. The construction began in 1992 with Jennie Murphree Hall and ended in 2006 with Landis Hall.All dormitories are co-ed with no single sex buildings. Dodd Hall is a historic structure on the campus of The Florida State University in Tallahassee, in the U.S. state of Florida. The building currently houses the Department of Religion offices for Florida State University. The building is also home to the Heritage Museum and an ornate exemplification of Collegiate Gothic architecture.

Tallahassee station, also known as the Jacksonville, Pensacola and Mobile Railroad Company Freight Depot, is a historic train station in Tallahassee, Florida. It was built in 1858 and was served by various railways until 2005, when Amtrak suspended service due to Hurricane Katrina. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

University Center FSU (officially Devoe L. Moore University Center) is a group of four brick buildings that surround Doak Campbell Stadium at the southwest corner of the campus of Florida State University. As the name suggests, the 800,000 ft² complex is the hub of administrative, athletic and booster activities. The brick facade around the stadium matches the architectural design of most of the buildings on the university's campus. Planning and funding began under President Sliger in the early 1990s and construction lasted almost 20 years at a cost of hundreds of millions. Campbell stadium with the University Center "is the second largest continuous brick structure in the world (the first being the Great Wall of China) and the 49th largest stadium in the world."

The Dedman College of Hospitality is located in Tallahassee, Florida at Florida State University. The College was founded in 1947 and offers majors in Hospitality Management & Tourism and Global Club Management & Leadership. They previously offered a degree in Professional Golf Management, but the major is no longer offered. The Dedman College was the first hospitality and tourism management program offered in the state of Florida.The Dedman College of Hospitality is located at University Center B in the south endzone of Doak Campbell Stadium. Based on input from industry representatives, the hospitality management major's business component attracts companies to FSU students and as a result, the college boasts a high job placement record. The Dedman College of Hospitality also offers a major in Global Club Management & Leadership, which is for students interested in the growing industry of international and domestic private clubs and golf resorts. FSU has a long, distinguished history of graduating professional golfers and educating students for business and hospitality operations. As of 2021, the school is now officially a College.

The Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts (colloquially known as The Film School) is the film school of the Florida State University. About 215 students are enrolled in classes, including undergraduates and graduate students, including Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts students. In 2017, Reb Braddock was named dean of the college. He succeeded Frank Patterson, who left the film school that year to become president of Pinewood Atlanta Studios.In 2019, The Hollywood Reporter ranked the college #13 in its annual list of the top 25 American film schools.In 2022, The FSU News announced that Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts shot up be #14 in the Top 25 American Film Schools. As stated from Reb Braddock (the schools Dean), “We are so proud of our film school family,” Braddock said. “Especially our great alums who are out there working in every aspect of the movie business.” It was written in The Hollywood Reporter that the school can give a lot of credit towards its tight knit group of schools alums.In September of 2022, FSU alumni and Director from the FSU College of Motion Picture Arts (MPA), Oualid Mouaness screened his latest film 1982 at the Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. The film is based on the directors memories of his childhood and of the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

The Tallahassee Wine and Food Festival is an annual two-day charitable event held in November in Tallahassee, Florida, United States which began in 1995.

The James D. Westcott Building is a historic building on the campus of The Florida State University in Tallahassee, in the U.S. state of Florida. The Westcott Building currently houses the chief administrative offices for Florida State University and is the primary focal point of the campus as seen down College Avenue. The building is also home to Ruby Diamond Auditorium. It is known for its distinctive appearance. Built in 1910, the Westcott building was named after James Diament Westcott, Jr. who was an early contributor to the predecessor of Florida State University; his 1887 estate was valued at $100,000.
