The Bayonne School District is a comprehensive public school district serving students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Bayonne in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of 13 schools, had an enrollment of 10,059 students and 763.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.2:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.After the state rejected a budget plan that would have cut 85 positions and raised taxes by almost 4%, the board of education voted in April 2017 to cut a total of 300 positions, including 260 non-tenured teachers, to achieve $6 million in savings from the earlier proposed $133 million budget.

St. Henry's Church is a Roman Catholic church on Avenue C between 28th.and 29th. Street in Bayonne, New Jersey. The parish was founded in 1889 by 50 German immigrant families from Bavaria and was named after Emperor Henry II of the Holy Roman Empire. It is one of the first Catholic parishes in Bayonne and is part of the Archdiocese of Newark.

Yeshiva Gedolah of Bayonne is an Orthodox Jewish yeshiva in Bayonne, New Jersey. Established in 1990, it includes high school, beis medrash, and kollel programs. The school caters to serious students, who dorm on-site. The languages of instruction are English and Yiddish.

St. Joseph Cathedral was a predominantly Iraqi-American Syriac Catholic cathedral located in Bayonne, New Jersey, United States. It is the seat of the Eparchy of Our Lady of Deliverance of Newark. In 2011, the cathedral was established in the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church on Avenue E, a former parish of the Archdiocese of Newark. St. Joseph Parish was founded as a Slovak parish in 1888, and the church building was completed in 1909. As of 2018, that church building was desacralized, and the property became part of a planned redevelopment project. St. Joseph Cathedral moved to the former St. Michael's parish property on East 23rd Street. The old St. Joseph church building was demolished in 2020 and will be replaced with a residential building. However the tower bells and St Joseph statue were preserved. The bells were placed on the top of a bell tower across the street from City Hall. and were dedicated in November 2022.

CarePoint Health Bayonne Medical Center is a hospital in Bayonne, New Jersey. It has 278 beds and was founded in 1888. One of six hospitals in Hudson County, the Bayonne Medical Center is affiliated with Hoboken University Medical Center and Christ Hospital, which are also operated by the for-profit organization Hudson Hospital Opco.The hospital became the subject of media coverage in 2013 when, in the midst of nationwide controversy over inconsistent hospital charges, The New York Times reported that the hospital "charged the highest amounts in the country for nearly one-quarter of the most common hospital treatments", which the Times associated with its 2008 restructuring after being acquired out of bankruptcy the previous year. In the same year, the hospital was ordered to award a "whistleblower" $2.1 million for being fired.According to a study conducted by National Nurses United and released in January 2014, the hospital was the 9th most expensive in the state, charging 763% above costs.Bayonne Medical Center entered the national spotlight again in 2014, when an investigative news team at NBC 4 New York reported that the hospital charged a New Jersey teacher nearly US$9,000 to bandage his middle finger. In 2015 a follow-up investigation covered the story of a Bayonne resident who was charged over $17,000 for stitches on a two-inch cut.The sale of hospital and the property on which it is located has been a matter of controversy. The city has considered eminent domain to settle the matter.

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (Polish: Matki Boskiej Szkaplerznej) is a Roman Catholic church in Bayonne, New Jersey. The name is a dedication to the Blessed Virgin Mary in her role as patroness of the Carmelite Order, hence the name Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Founded by Polish immigrants in 1898, it grew to become one of the largest Polish congregation in the United States. Part of the Archdiocese of Newark, the parish merged with two others to become the Parish of St. John Paul II in 2016.

22nd Street is a station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) in Bayonne, Hudson County, New Jersey. Located between East 22nd and East 21st Streets in Bayonne, the station is the second of four stops in the city. The station contains two tracks with a set of two side platforms, a difference from the other stations of Bayonne, which all contain island platforms. 22nd Street serves two difference services, the local line between 8th Street in Bayonne and Hoboken Terminal. It also serves the Bayonne Flyer, an express between the four Bayonne stops and Hoboken. The station is handicap accessible with elevators and platform levels that meet the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 standards. 22nd Street opened on November 15, 2003 as an extension from 34th Street, serving as the terminal until 8th Street opened on January 31, 2011.

16th Street Park, also known as Dominico – 16th Street Park, is a municipal park in Bayonne, New Jersey. It is located on the west side of the city along the Newark Bay across from Port Newark–Elizabeth Marine Terminal. It is a component of the Hackensack RiverWalk.

34th Street is a station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) in Bayonne, Hudson County, New Jersey. The third of four stations in the city of Bayonne, 34th Street is located at the intersection of Avenue E and East 34th Street, the station doubles as a park and ride with access to Route 440 southbound.
