Langnau-Gattikon is a railway station in the Sihl Valley, and the municipality of Langnau am Albis, in the Swiss Canton of Zürich. Gattikon is an adjacent settlement, part of the municipality of Thalwil. The Zürcher Museums-Bahn (ZMB) is a heritage railway association based in the Swiss city of Zurich. It operates occasional services over the Sihltal line of the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn, and preserves rolling stock, much of which formerly belonged to that operator.On the last Sunday of every month from April to October, a steam service is operated from Zurich Wiedikon station to Sihlbrugg station. The ZMB preserves a selection of former Sihltal line rolling stock, including two early steam locomotives, and a railcar and a locomotive built for the original electrification.

Thalwil is a municipality and town in the district of Horgen in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. In addition to the town of Thalwil, the municipality includes the village of Gattikon.

Sihlwald is a railway station in the Sihl Valley, and the municipality of Horgen, in the Swiss Canton of Zürich. The station is on the Sihltal line, which is operated by the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU). The station takes its name from the surrounding Sihlwald forest and nature reserve, whose visitor centre is adjacent to the station.Sihlwald was the original terminus of the Sihtal line, which was opened from Bahnhof Selnau in Zürich in 1892. In 1897 the Sihltal line was extended to Sihlbrugg station and a connection with the Zürich to Lucerne line of the Swiss Northeastern Railway (NOB). The station retains a locomotive shed dating from the time of that extension that is used by the heritage railway association Zürcher Museums-Bahn. Today, the station is the formal terminus of service S4 of the Zürich S-Bahn, although the situation within a protected forest and with few other traffic generators nearby means that most S4 trains terminate at Langnau-Gattikon, one stop nearer Zürich, leaving this station to be served by one train an hour. The stretch of railway beyond Sihlwald to Sihlbrugg still exists, but no longer carries a regular passenger train service. The station is served by the following passenger trains:

Park im Grüene is a public park and a small amusement park in the municipality of Rüschlikon in Switzerland. The park area comprises the former estate of Adele and Gottlieb Duttweiler that went to public use in 1947.

Jenny Estate (German: Jenny Schloss) is a large estate in the municipality of Thalwil of the Canton of Zurich in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

The Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute (GDI) is an independent think-tank and the oldest organisation of its kind in Switzerland. It is located in Rüschlikon, near Zurich. The GDI is located on the edge of the Park im Grüene. Established on 1 September 1963, the research institute was conceived by and named after the founder of Migros, Gottlieb Duttweiler. Taking his principle of "Focus on people and not on capital" as its starting point, the GDI researches and debates issues relating to the fields of consumption, trade and society, and current topics of relevance to business and society. It is owned by the "Im Grüene" Foundation, which is co-financed by Migros, Switzerland's largest retailer. Its research is published quarterly in the "GDI Impuls" magazine and published studies as well as the Gottfried Duttweiler Prize.

Thalwil railway station (German: Bahnhof Thalwil) is a railway station in the municipality of Thalwil in the Swiss Canton of Zürich. The station is located on the Lake Zurich left bank (Zurich to Chur) main line and the Thalwil–Arth-Goldau railway, part of the Zurich to Lucerne line. To the Zurich side of the station, the Zimmerberg Base Tunnel diverges from the original lakeside line, whilst on the Lucerne side is the junction point where the Zurich to Chur and Zurich to Lucerne lines diverge. Thus all trains on both lines must pass through the station.The station is served on the lakeside line by an hourly long-distance RegioExpress service between Zürich and Chur. InterRegio services between Lucerne and Konstanz also operate hourly. The station is also served by trains on lines S2, S8, and S24 of the Zürich S-Bahn.

Wildpark-Höfli is a railway station in the Sihl Valley, and the municipality of Langnau am Albis, in the Swiss Canton of Zurich. The station is on the Sihltal line, which is operated by the Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU). It takes its name from the nearby settlement of Höfli, and the Wildpark Langenberg, a nearby zoo. Opened in 1982, it replaced the nearby station "Gontenbach". The station is served by the following passenger trains:

Langenberg Wildlife Park (German: Wildpark Langenberg) is a zoo situated in the municipality of Langnau am Albis in the Sihl Valley to the south of the city of Zürich in Switzerland. The wildlife park now forms part of the Zürich Wilderness Park. The park was founded in 1869 by the Zürich city forester Carl Anton Ludwig von Orelli, making it the oldest Swiss wildlife park. In 2009, the management of the Langenberg Wildlife Park was combined with that of the nearby Sihlwald forest, to form the Zürich Wilderness Park.Langenberg is home to 16 native or formerly native animals such as bears, beavers, elk, hare, lynxes, wild boar, and wolves. In 2012, European bison and Przewalski’s horse were introduced to the park. The wildlife park can be reached via the Wildpark-Höfli railway station, served by service S4 of the Zurich S-Bahn.

Zürich Wilderness Park (German: Wildnispark Zürich) is a wilderness park near the city of Zürich in Switzerland. It includes the Sihlwald forest, the largest mixed deciduous and coniferous forest in the Swiss Mittelland, and the Langenberg Wildlife Park, the oldest Swiss wildlife park. Both sites are situated in the Sihl Valley to the south of Zürich, but are separated from each other by the town of Langnau am Albis.
