The Ivan Franko Museum is a museum dedicated to Ukrainian writer and poet Ivan Franko (1856–1916) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.The museum operates primarily through the efforts of volunteers and relies on the support of people for its financial support. Entrance to the museum has always been free.

The Ukrainian Labour Temple is a hall and cultural centre in the north end of Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is run by the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians and is located at 591 Pritchard Avenue.The labour temple is one of the few left in a once large network of such halls and is one of the largest and oldest of its kind. The building was constructed from 1918–19 using volunteer labour. The building was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2009.

R. B. Russell Vocational High School is a grade 9 to 12 public high school in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It is located in the North End, and is part of the Winnipeg School Division. On April 20, 2017, the school celebrated its 50th anniversary.

The Canadian Science Centre for Human and Animal Health (CSCHAH) is an infectious disease laboratory complex in Winnipeg, Manitoba, owned and operated by the Government of Canada. This modern facility is home to two laboratories: the Public Health Agency of Canada's National Microbiology Laboratory (NML) and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's National Centre for Foreign Animal Disease (NCFAD). It is the workplace of approximately 500 federal employees.While most of the laboratory space is dedicated to Containment Level 2 (also known as Biosafety Level 2) and Containment Level 3 laboratories, CSCHAH is the only facility in Canada operating Containment Level 4 (CL4) laboratories and is the first facility in the world to have both human and animal Level 4 laboratories under one roof.Both NML and NCFAD operate critical diagnostic testing programs relied on across the country. These programs protect human health, animal health, and international trade.

Winnipeg General Hospital is a hospital that was founded in 1872 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was built on the estate of Andrew McDermot. The driving force behind the hospital was McDermott's son-in-law Andrew Bannatyne. The hospital is part of the Health Sciences Centre, one of the largest hospitals in Canada.

The Health Sciences Centre (HSC), located in Winnipeg, is the largest health-care facility in Manitoba and one of the largest hospitals in Canada. It serves the residents of Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, and Nunavut as both a teaching hospital and as a research centre. HSC is a tertiary care hospital, encompassing many different specialty medical and surgical services. The Health Sciences Centre employs around 8,000 people. A few other health-related institutions are located adjacent to the hospital. The HSC has a 39-acre (16 ha) campus and houses various operations. Adjoined to the west of HSC is the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Health Sciences, a complex of ten buildings. The Cadham Provincial Laboratory is located next door to the hospital and is the main research and investigative arm of the government of Manitoba for infectious disease. The Canadian Blood Services main building is located across the street from the hospital. CancerCare Manitoba is also located adjacent to the hospital.

The Max Rady College of Medicine is a medical college of the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg and is one of several departments of the University's Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. Opening in 1883 as the Manitoba Medical College, it is the first medical school of the Prairie provinces. The College has 27 academic departments, institutes, and administrative units found throughout the University's Bannatyne campus, the Health Sciences Centre, and other Winnipeg health sciences facilities. The Fort Garry Horse Museum & Archives is a regimental museum in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada that displays the history of The Fort Garry Horse, a regiment of the Canadian Forces Army, from its origin to the present through use of artefacts, photographs and archival material. Located in the LCol Harcus Strachan, VC, MC Armoury(formerly named McGregor Armoury), the museum's exhibits include uniforms, weapons, military artefacts and photographs, as well as some military vehicles outdoors. The museum preserves the history of the regiment through the collection of documents, pictures, books, military artefacts, etc., pertaining to the Regiment. The museum preserves the history of Cavalry in Manitoba through the collection of documents, pictures, books, military artefacts, etc. It provides a training facility for the teaching of Regimental history. The museum's goal is to stimulate and foster within the general public an ongoing interest in the Regiment and its activities and accomplishments.

Chinatown is an neighbourhood in Winnipeg, Manitoba, that was formed in 1909 and serves as an enclave of Chinese expatriates.Located on King Street between James and Higgins Avenues, adjacent to the Exchange District, it was officially recognized in 1968. Winnipeg's Chinatown is home to many shops and restaurants, including Asian grocery stores and an herbal products store.In more recent years, as of 2021, a newer de facto Chinatown in the city's Fort Richmond area has seen more Chinese-Canadian businesses open every year.

Stefan Ustvolsky was a Russian Orthodox priest excommunicated from the Most Holy Synod in Saint Petersburg and pretend bishop in early Ukrainian Canadian history. He called himself Bishop Seraphim, Metropolitan of the Orthodox Russian Church for the whole of America and started the All-Russian Patriarchal Orthodox Church in 1903 in Winnipeg. His claim of consecration was backed by forged documentation and the church eventually fell apart around 1908.
