Canadian Science Centre for Human and Animal Health

The Max Rady College of Medicine is a medical college of the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg and is one of several departments of the University's Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. Opening in 1883 as the Manitoba Medical College, it is the first medical school of the Prairie provinces. The College has 27 academic departments, institutes, and administrative units found throughout the University's Bannatyne campus, the Health Sciences Centre, and other Winnipeg health sciences facilities. The college also consists of several centres, institutes, and research groups, often in partnership with other health sciences organizations.In 2009, there were 957 applicants for 110 MD spots. The average GPA was 4.16 (out of 4.5) and the MCAT average was 10.72 in 2009. The nearby University of Winnipeg also offers a pre-medical studies program.

The Health Sciences Centre (HSC), located in Winnipeg, is the largest health-care facility in Manitoba and one of the largest hospitals in Canada. It serves the residents of Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, and Nunavut as both a teaching hospital and as a research centre. HSC is a tertiary care hospital, encompassing many different specialty medical and surgical services. The Health Sciences Centre employs around 8,000 people. A few other health-related institutions are located adjacent to the hospital. The HSC has a 39-acre (16 ha) campus and houses various operations. Adjoined to the west of HSC is the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Health Sciences, a complex of ten buildings. The Cadham Provincial Laboratory is located next door to the hospital and is the main research and investigative arm of the government of Manitoba for infectious disease. The Canadian Blood Services main building is located across the street from the hospital. CancerCare Manitoba is also located adjacent to the hospital.

Winnipeg General Hospital is a hospital that was founded in 1872 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was built on the estate of Andrew McDermot. The driving force behind the hospital was McDermott's son-in-law Andrew Bannatyne. The hospital is part of the Health Sciences Centre, one of the largest hospitals in Canada.

McPhillips Station Casino (formerly the McPhillips Street Station Casino) is a casino located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is one of two casinos in the city (the other being the Club Regent Casino), both are owned and operated by the Manitoba Lotteries Corporation, and in turn, the Government of Manitoba. The casino opened in 1993, after an assessment regarding the distribution of gambling revenue was released.In December 2015 the casino announced a $45-million renovation plan.

Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute is a high school located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Founded in the late 19th century, the school is named after Daniel McIntyre, Winnipeg's first school superintendent.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary School (IHMS) is a nursery-to-grade-eight Ukrainian Catholic school in the north end of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It is owned and operated by the Sisters, Servants of Mary Immaculate (not to be confused with the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, an entirely different and unrelated religious order). IHMS is also a part of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg and the Catholic Schools' Commission of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Saint Boniface. The school offers a Christian-based education, a strong extracurricular athletic program, and a musical performing arts program, all of which is tied to Ukrainian culture.

The Ivan Franko Museum is a museum dedicated to Ukrainian writer and poet Ivan Franko (1856–1916) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.The museum operates primarily through the efforts of volunteers and relies on the support of people for its financial support. Entrance to the museum has always been free.

The Ukrainian Labour Temple is a hall and cultural centre in the north end of Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is run by the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians and is located at 591 Pritchard Avenue.The labour temple is one of the few left in a once large network of such halls and is one of the largest and oldest of its kind. The building was constructed from 1918–19 using volunteer labour. The building was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2009.
