Myers Park High School

Located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina Wing Haven provides a natural oasis for reflection and study of its three public gardens. Wing Haven Garden & Bird Sanctuary is rich in Southern horticulture and a habitat for birds and wildlife. The Elizabeth Lawrence House & Garden is the site of a world-renowned garden writer’s living laboratory. The new SEED Wildlife & Children’s Gardens provide hands-on exploratory learning and a natural habitat for local wildlife. Together, these gardens welcome visitors of all ages to discover and learn. Wing Haven also offers more than 40 programs and special events each year. Operated by the 501(C)(3) Wing Haven Foundation of Charlotte, NC.

Elizabeth Lawrence House & Garden is a historic home and garden located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1948–1949, and is a small 1+1⁄2-story, five bay, Colonial Revival style frame dwelling. The house is set on landscaped grounds designed and laid out in 1949–1950. It includes paths, beds, and borders. It was the home of Elizabeth Lawrence (1904-1985), American garden writer and the first woman graduate in landscape architecture from (present-day) North Carolina State University.Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission designed the property a historic landmark in 2005 and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.Elizabeth Lawrence moved away from the property in 1984. In 1986, Mary Elizabeth "Lindie" Wilson purchased the property, and immediately started resurrecting the garden, which had fallen into disrepair. Lindie Wilson's incredible stewardship for the next 23 years ensured the survival of a significant number of plants original to Elizabeth Lawrence - most still thrive in the garden to this day. During her ownership, Lindie Wilson engaged the help of many regional and national experts to figure out the best way to preserve the property, out of which was born the Friends of Elizabeth Lawrence. The Friends worked tirelessly to help Lindie place a conservation easement on the property and negotiate the terms of sale of the property to the Wing Haven Foundation in 2008. Today, the Elizabeth Lawrence House & Garden is open to the public as a historic and cultural resource. It is owned and operated by the Wing Haven Foundation, and managed in a partnership with The Garden Conservancy, which holds the conservation easement on the property. The house and garden are part of the Wing Haven Gardens and Bird Sanctuary.

Morrocroft is a historic home located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was designed by architect Harrie T. Lindeberg and built between 1925 and 1927. It is a Colonial Revival/Tudor Revival style brick manor house. It consists of a main two story block (2+1⁄2 stories on the rear facade) with rambling 1+1⁄2-story side wings. It is characterized by picturesque massing, rhythmic spacing of mullioned, multipaned grouped windows, and numerous multi-stack chimneys rising from steeply pitched gable roofs. It was built by North Carolina Governor and Congressman Cameron A. Morrison (1869-1953).The Morrison family owned the home until 1981. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Queens University of Charlotte is a private university in Charlotte, North Carolina. It has approximately 2,300 undergraduate and graduate students through the College of Arts and Sciences, the McColl School of Business, the Wayland H. Cato, Jr. School of Education, the James L. Knight School of Communication, and the Andrew Blair College of Health, which features the Presbyterian School of Nursing. Frank Ramsay McNinch House is a historic home located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built about 1925 for Charlotte mayor Frank R. McNinch, and is a two-story, five bay, Colonial Revival style white frame dwelling. It is sheathed in weatherboard and has flanking exterior end chimneys. It features a prominent two-story, full-facade porch supported by six heavy, square, Tuscan order-style wooden piers. Also on the property is a contributing servant's quarters/garage.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Park Road Shopping Center is an open air strip mall located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is located northeast of the intersection of Woodlawn Rd. and Park Rd. in the south central part of Charlotte. Park Road Shopping Center has a nostalgic ambience, which is sustained by the pipe shop, soda shop, shoe repair shop, and many other stores that date back to the Post-World War II baby boom era.

Pfeiffer University at Charlotte, in Charlotte, North Carolina, is one of three campuses of Pfeiffer University, where the university's School of Graduate Studies and Center for Professional Advancement are located. The Transit Center is located between Belk and Dillard's.

Myers Park is a neighborhood and historic district in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.Neighborhoods that are near Myers Park include Dilworth and Sedgefield to the west, Eastover to the east, Charlotte center city to the north, and South Park and Foxcroft to the south. The Little Sugar Creek Greenway runs along the western edge of the neighborhood, adjacent to Freedom Park. Though its boundaries originally coincided with the boundaries of the 1,220-acre (4.9 km2) John Spring Myers farm, the neighborhood, by 2008, comprised 2,200 acres (8.9 km2) and had a population of 9,809. Myers Park is bounded by Queens Road to the north, Providence Road to the east, Sharon Road to the south, and Park Road to the west.

The district encompasses 166 contributing buildings in the former suburban Pharrsdale neighborhood of Charlotte. It was developed after 1926 and includes notable examples of Colonial Revival and Tudor Revival style architecture.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
