Fo Tan Village (Chinese: 火炭村) is a village in the Fo Tan area of Sha Tin District in Hong Kong.

Jockey Club Ti-I College (TIC or JCTIC, Chinese: 賽馬會體藝中學, Demonym: Ti-Ian) is a secondary school in Fo Tan, Hong Kong. The setting up of Ti-I College ('Ti-I' pronounced as 'tee yee'), which is not only focused on normal academic curriculum, but also aimed to develop students' potential of visual arts and sports, was proposed by Sir Edward Youde, the late governor of Hong Kong.The school curriculum uses English as the medium of instruction in all subjects, with the exception of Chinese language and Chinese History.

Shatin Pui Ying College (Chinese: 沙田培英中學), abbreviated as SPYC or PYC, is a Christian school that was established in 1978. Located in Hong Kong, SPYC is an English medium of instruction (EMI) secondary school fully subsidised by the government with 4 classes each for Forms 1 to 5 and 5 classes for Form 6 (in the 2018/19 academic year). The school icon is an eagle symbolising courage and determination.

Tai Po Road is the second longest road in Hong Kong (after Castle Peak Road). It spans from Sham Shui Po in Kowloon to Tai Po in the New Territories of Hong Kong. Initially, the road was named Frontier Road.

Fo Tan (Chinese: 火炭; Cantonese Yale: Fótaan) is an area of Sha Tin District, New Territories, Hong Kong. It was developed as a light industrial area, but this activity has declined markedly in recent years. There are residential areas to the east, alongside the MTR line, and in the foothills to the west.

Kiangsu-Chekiang College (Shatin) (Chinese: 沙田蘇浙公學), abbreviated as KCCS or KCCST, is one of the secondary schools in Sha Tin District, Hong Kong. The school campus is next to Shatin Pui Ying College.

Fo Tan (Chinese: 火炭; Cantonese Yale: Fó taan) is a station on the East Rail line of the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) system in Hong Kong. It is located in the Fo Tan area of Sha Tin District, between Sha Tin and University stations on the East Rail line's main branch. The Racecourse is located parallel to Fo Tan, on the line's Racecourse branch. The passenger station serves some apartment buildings, villages, and a medium-sized industrial zone, as well as the Fo Tan Railway House of the MTRC. During rush hour, some northbound trains terminate at this station before departing southwards. Some trains do not run through this station on race days, and are instead diverted to stop at the Racecourse.

Wo Che Estate (Chinese: 禾輋邨) is a public housing estate in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is the second public housing estate in Sha Tin, built on the reclaimed land of Sha Tin Hoi, located near Fung Wo Estate, Lek Yuen Estate and Sha Tin Sports Ground. The estate consists of thirteen residential blocks completed in 1977, 1980 and 2003 respectively.

Shatin Anglican Church (Chinese: 沙田堂) is a Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican) church located in Shatin, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is a mission church under the Diocese of Eastern Kowloon. It was established in 1991 as a daughter church of St. Andrew's Church. The current minister is Rev. Heewoo Han.

Sha Tin Junior School (Chinese: 沙田小學) is a primary school run by the English Schools Foundation in Fo Tan, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. The school opened in 1988, and the founding principal Gordon Lewis remained in this post until his retirement in 2004. He was subsequently awarded an OBE in recognition of his services to education in Hong Kong. After the Retirement of Mr Lewis, the new assigned principal was Dr Allan Weston who later resigned at the end of the 2008–09 school year to take over the CEO position at Taipei European School in Taiwan. Since June 2009 the principal has been Mr Perry Tunesi. Mr Tunesi retired August 2019 and he is replaced by Mrs Rehana Shanks. The school now has a 5-class entry for each year group with a total of around 900 students. The sports facilities include a swimming pool, a multi-purpose sports hall (with badminton, basketball, volleyball, and climbing facilities), and an Astro-turf pitch, all shared with Sha Tin College. It provides for children from Year One to Year Six, and each class is named by its year group first followed by another number (from 1 to 5) e.g. Y6.2

The Palazzo (Chinese: 御龍山) is a large privately owned residential property located next to Fo Tan station in Fo Tan of Sha Tin District, Hong Kong. A pedestrian bridge connects The Palazzo to the station. Jointly developed by Sino Land and the MTR Corporation, it has a total of 1,375 flats as well as 230 parking spaces. The Palazzo was sold off-plan starting in May 2008, while construction completed in March 2009. Currently, The Palazzo is managed by Premier Management Services, a subsidiary of the MTR Corporation.

The Fo Tan Nullah (Chinese: 火炭渠) is one of the nullahs of the Shing Mun River in Fo Tan, Hong Kong.
