Shatin Anglican Church (Chinese: 沙田堂) is a Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican) church located in Shatin, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is a mission church under the Diocese of Eastern Kowloon. It was established in 1991 as a daughter church of St. Andrew's Church. The current minister is Rev. Heewoo Han.

Sha Tin District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. As one of the 9 districts located in the New Territories, it covers the areas of Sha Tin, Tai Wai, Ma On Shan, Fo Tan, Siu Lek Yuen, Kwun Yam Shan and Ma Liu Shui. The district is the most populous district in Hong Kong, with a population of 659,794 as per 2016 by-census, having a larger population than many states or dependencies including Iceland, Malta, Montenegro and Brunei.The Sha Tin District covers approximately 69.4 km2 (26.8 sq. mi), including Sha Tin New Town and several country parks. Built mostly on reclaimed land in Sha Tin Hoi, the well-developed Sha Tin New Town comprises mainly residential areas along the banks of the Shing Mun River Channel. In the early 1970s it was a rural township of about 30,000 people. After Sha Tin's first public housing estate, Lek Yuen Estate, was completed in 1976, the settlement began to expand. Today, about 65% of the district's population live in public rental housing, housing under Hong Kong's Tenants Purchase Scheme, or Home Ownership Scheme.

Shatin Pui Ying College (Chinese: 沙田培英中學), abbreviated as SPYC or PYC, is a Christian school that was established in 1978. Located in Hong Kong, SPYC is an English medium of instruction (EMI) secondary school fully subsidised by the government with 4 classes each for Forms 1 to 5 and 5 classes for Form 6 (in the 2018/19 academic year). The school icon is an eagle symbolising courage and determination.

Sha Tin Sports Ground is a multi-use stadium at 18 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin, Hong Kong. It is adjacent to the Shing Mun River. It is currently used mostly for football matches by Shatin Sports Association. The stadium holds 5,000.

Sheng Kung Hui Tsang Shiu Tim Secondary School (Chinese: 聖公會曾肇添中學) is a school in Hong Kong that was founded in September 1978 by Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican), Diocese of Hong Kong and Macao. Located in Wo Che Estate, Shatin, it is an EMI school (grammar) subsidized by the Hong Kong Government.

Kiangsu-Chekiang College (Shatin) (Chinese: 沙田蘇浙公學), abbreviated as KCCS or KCCST, is one of the secondary schools in Sha Tin District, Hong Kong. The school campus is next to Shatin Pui Ying College.

Tai Po Road is the second longest road in Hong Kong (after Castle Peak Road). It spans from Sham Shui Po in Kowloon to Tai Po in the New Territories of Hong Kong. Initially, the road was named Frontier Road.

Fung Wo Estate (Chinese: 豐和邨) is a public housing estate in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong near Wo Che Estate on the site of the former Sha Tin Police Married Quarters, which was demolished in 2007. The estate consists of three residential blocks completed in 2013.

The Shing Mun River or Shing Mun River Channel is a river in Sha Tin, Hong Kong.

Jockey Club Ti-I College (TIC or JCTIC, Chinese: 賽馬會體藝中學, Demonym: Ti-Ian) is a secondary school in Fo Tan, Hong Kong. The setting up of Ti-I College ('Ti-I' pronounced as 'tee yee'), which is not only focused on normal academic curriculum, but also aimed to develop students' potential of visual arts and sports, was proposed by Sir Edward Youde, the late governor of Hong Kong.The school curriculum uses English as the medium of instruction in all subjects, with the exception of Chinese language and Chinese History.

Shatin Baptist Church (Chinese: 沙田浸信會) is a Baptist Evangelical multi-site megachurch based in Sha Tin in Hong Kong's New Territories. It is affiliated with the Baptist Convention of Hong Kong.

Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School (BLMCSS) (Chinese: 浸信會呂明才中學) is a Baptist secondary school in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, near Lek Yuen Estate. It was established in 1978 by the Baptist Convention of Hong Kong. Situated in the new town of Sha Tin, the school is a co-educational grammar school offering education at the first to sixth form levels education in Hong Kong. English is the major medium of instruction whereas Cantonese are used for subjects like Chinese Language, Chinese History, Chinese Literature, Liberal Studies, Visual Arts, Physical Education. In junior forms, Mandarin Chinese is also taught. The school has mission in providing an all-round education based on Christian values by nurturing their moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic and spiritual skills, knowledge and attitude. It is a band 1 school.
