Murcki Coal Mine

Kosztowy (German: Kostow) is a quarter of the city of Mysłowice in the Silesian Voivodship of Poland. The formerly independent municipality is approximately 4 km south the city centre of Mysłowice, close to the neighbouring city of Imielin. In the course of a major re-organisation of municipal borders in Upper Silesia it was incorporated into Mysłowice together with Wesoła and Dziećkowice. It has an area of 5,17 km2 and in 2012 had a population of 3,480.

Kostuchna (German: Kostuchna) is a district of Katowice. It has an area of 8.59 km2 and in 2007 had 8,233 inhabitants.

The Tyskie Brewing Museum or Tyskie Browarium is a museum in Tychy in Silesia, Poland. It was established in 2004. The museum is an Anchor point on the European Route of Industrial Heritage. It is an object of cultural heritage in Silesia (259/10), and a Polish national monument (641660). During a 2009 vote the brewery complex was voted as one of the "Seven Architectural Wonders of the Silesian Voivodeship."

The Staszic coal mine is a large mine in the south of Poland in Katowice, Silesian Voivodeship, 260 km south-west of the capital, Warsaw. Staszic represents one of the largest coal reserve in Poland having estimated reserves of 343.8 million tonnes of coal. The annual coal production is around 5.7 million tonnes.

The Zadole Park which used to be a hamlet of Piotrowice, but now it belongs to Katowice districts of Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union there is a park with an amphitheater for 800 persons, a swimming-pool complex, a cafe and a playground for children and walking alleys. In 1906-1914 it was a place of the convention of the Polish choirs and bands within the framework of the Singing Societies existing in that region at that time. Students Hostels adjoin the center and not far from them there are tennis courts - free of charge.

Tychy railway station is a railway station in Tychy, Poland. As of 2012, it is served by PKP Intercity (Ekspres and TLK services), Przewozy Regionalne (local and InterRegio services) and Koleje Śląskie. The station was opened in 1868

Ligota - Panewniki (German: Ellgoth-Panewnik; also "Idaweiche") is a district of Katowice in Poland. It has an area of 12.59 km2 and in 2007 had 31,879 inhabitants.Ligota-Panewniki is famous due to the magnificent Franciscan Basilica, the headquarters of the Franciscan Assumption Province in Poland. During Christmas the church becomes a religious and tourist attraction due to its Christmas Nativity scene, which supposedly is the biggest in Europe. In September 1939, Panewniki was one of the sites of large massacres of Polish defenders of Katowice, carried out by the Germans following the invasion of Poland, which started World War II (see Nazi crimes against the Polish nation). During the subsequent German occupation, the occupiers operated two forced labour camps in Ligota: one for Poles (Polenlager), and one for Jews.
