Vall d'Hebron is a neighborhood in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.Four venues in the area hosted competitions for the 1992 Summer Olympics.The Barcelona Metro line L3 stations of Vall d'Hebron, Montbau and Mundet are all situated on the northern boundary of the neighbourhood, under the Ronda de Dalt. Vall d'Hebron station is also served by line L5.Despite its name, the Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron is not in the neighborhood of la Vall d'Hebron, but rather in the neighborhood of Montbau, on the other side of Ronda de Dalt. The hospital is a health campus that brings together four specialties: the university hospital, the research institute, the oncology institute and finally the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Catalonia.

Montbau is a Barcelona Metro station, in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona, and named after the nearby Montbau neighbourhood. The station is served by line L3.The station is located underneath the Passeig de la Vall d'Hebron and the Ronda de Dalt expressway, between Carrer de l'Arquitectura and Carrer Pare Mariana. The station has a single ticket hall with two entrances; as the station is on a mountainside, one of the entrances is actually below the ticket hall level, requiring passengers to climb stairs up, but in August 2009 a new entrance has been open with no stairs to climb. There are two 91-metre (299 ft) long side platforms.The station was opened in 1985, when the section of line L3 from Lesseps station was inaugurated. It remained the terminus of the line until the extension to Canyelles station opened in 2001.

The Tennis de la Vall d'Hebron (English: Vall d'Hebron Tennis) is a sports venue located in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona. Modified in 1991, it used only nine of the 17 courts for the tennis competitions of the 1992 Summer Olympics.

The Vall d'Hebron University Hospital is a public and university affiliated hospital founded in 1955. It belongs to the Catalan Health Institute and is the hospital complex with the highest volume of interventions in Catalonia, Spain. It is located at the bottom of Collserola, at the north of Barcelona, and its influence area includes the districts of Horta-Guinardó, Nou Barris and Sant Andreu. In actuality, it is the most important hospital complex in Catalonia. A study from 2009 places the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital among the four most important reference centers in Spain, and one of the twenty most important hospitals in the country.The hospital complex is divided into three separate areas: the general hospital, the maternity hospital, and the orthopedics and rehabilitation hospital. It also has an outpatient surgical unit at Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili. It currently employs over 7.000 professionals and has an annual budget of 580 million euros (2012). The hospital has 1.146 beds (182 reserved for critical patients), 45 operating rooms, 381 outpatient offices, and 3 emergency departments.

Montbau is a neighborhood in the Horta-Guinardó district of the city of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.In the eastern part of the neighborhood there is the campus Mundet, which had been the old Llars Mundet that was a charitable organization. In the campus there is the School of Psychology and pedagogy of the University of Barcelona, a geriatric home and schools. In the western part there is the Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron. The Barcelona Metro line L3 stations of Vall d'Hebron, Montbau and Mundet are all situated on the southern boundary of the neighbourhood, under the Ronda de Dalt. Vall d'Hebron station is also served by line L5.

The line L5 section of the station is situated at a depth of 41.5 metres (136 ft) below the Avinguda del Jordà and the Carrer de Coll i Alentorn. It has a single central island platform served by two tracks.Vall d'Hebron is one of three stations where lines L3 and L5 connect, the others being Sants Estació and Diagonal metro stations. Like both these two stations, the platforms of the two lines at Vall d'Hebron are connected by an underground passageway. However, there is no track connection between the two lines at Vall d'Hebron. There are depots for both lines adjacent to the station.The station was opened in 1985, when the section of line L3 between Lesseps and Montbau stations was inaugurated. The line L5 section of the station was opened on 30 July 2010, when the extension from Horta station opened.

La Teixonera is a neighborhood in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). The name honours Joaquim Taxonera, who urbanized the neighbourhood.

The Pavelló de la República Library joined what is now the University of Barcelona's Learning and Research Resources Centre (CRAI) in 1996. It has since grown to become one of the world's leading archival libraries on subjects such as the Second Spanish Republic, the Spanish Civil War, exile, Francoist Spain and Spain's transition to democracy. In addition, the library has important materials on the Soviet Bloc and on the international political history of the twentieth history, particularly World War II.

Mundet is a Barcelona Metro station, in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona, which takes its name from the Recinte Mundet, an adjacent area that now houses a campus of the University of Barcelona. The station is served by line L3.The station is located underneath the Passeig de la Vall d'Hebron and the Ronda de Dalt expressway, between Avinguda de Can Marcet and Passeig dels Castanyers. Access to the station is provided by an underground passageway allowing passengers to cross under the Ronda de Dalt; access is by stairs, escalators, and elevators north of the station, and level to the south, allowing the station to be supplied with natural light. One level below the passageway is a single 100-metre (330 ft) long island platform served by two flanking tracks.The station was opened in 2001, when the section of line L3 from Montbau station to Canyelles station was inaugurated. It was designed by Ventura Valcarce.

El Coll | La Teixonera is a Barcelona metro station located in the Horta-Guinardó district. The station opened on 30 July 2010 as part of a 3 station extension to line 5. It is situated on the border between three neighbourhoods, El Carmel, La Teixonera and El Coll. As its name suggest it mainly serves the two neighbourhoods El Coll and La Teixonera even though one of the three station entrances is located in the neighbourhood El Carmel. The station situated under a steep hill, holds various records for Barcelona metro. The eastern entrance serving the neighbourhoods El Coll and El Carmel has the highest elevated station entrance on the whole network at 181.60 metres (596 feet) above sea level (one elevator though reaches an unspecified height of around 189 meters or 620 feet above sea level), the station also includes the longest lift on the whole network with 63 metres (207 feet). The station also has the highest number of moving walkways (12) for any station in Barcelona. The height difference between the platform and the eastern street level entrance is larger than on any other station on the network with 73.53 metres (241 feet) and 80+ metres including the unspecified elevator, the platform is located 108.1 metres (354 feet) above sea level. Directly east of the station the metro runs deeper than anywhere else on the network, 105 metres under ground. The east and the west station entrances are the most spaced apart on the whole network, over 400 metres (1300 feet) by foot.

Parc de la Creueta del Coll (IPA: [ˈpaɾɡ də lə kɾəˈwɛtə ðəl ˈkɔʎ]; "Park of the Corner of the Hill") is a park in the Gràcia and Horta districts of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The park was created from an abandoned quarry as part of the nou urbanisme developments during the 1992 Summer Olympics by architects Martorell, Bohigas and Mackay.The park contains the sculpture Elogi de l'Aigua, by Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida, a massive concrete claw suspended by steel cables above a flooded quarry. Another steel sculpture, Escultura (English: Totem) by Ellsworth Kelly is near the entrance gate.
