Clyde W. Wood was a shipbuilding company in Stockton, California. To support the World War 2 demand for ships Clyde W. Wood built: tugboats, and US Army barges. Clyde W. Wood started as a construction company paving asphalt and concrete slabs. In 1941 the company opened a small emergency shipyard. The yard first built barges and then tugs for the Army. After World War 2, the shipyard closed in 1945. The yard was located at 1805 Harbor Street, Stockton, the current location of the Penny Newman Grain Terminal. The shipyard was on the Stockton Channel on the deepwater port on the Stockton Ship Channel of the Pacific Ocean and an inland port located more than seventy nautical miles from the ocean, on the Stockton Channel and San Joaquin River-Stockton Deepwater Shipping Channel (before it joins the Sacramento River to empty into Suisun Bay.

. Colberg Boat Works was a shipbuilding company in Stockton, California on the Stockton Channel. The original WW11 office building burned to the ground in 2023. It was being prepared for movan to Brandon Island.To support the World War II demand for ships Colberg Boat Works built: Minesweepers, Type V ship Tugboats, and Submarine chasers. The minesweepers were an Aggressive-class minesweeper and Agile-class minesweeper class. Colberg Boat Works was opened by two brothers in the late 1890s, William and Henry J Colberg. After World War II, Wilton, Jack and Gordon Colberg sons of Henry Colberg took over the company. The shipyard closed in 1990s. The yard located at 848 West Fremont Street, Stockton, California. The Colberg Boat Works yard was next to the Stephens Bros. Boat Builders yard. Hickinbotham Brothers Shipbuilders was a shipbuilding company in Stockton, California on the Stockton Channel. To support the World War II demand for ships Hickinbotham Brothers built: Type V ship Tugboats, Tank Landing Barge, balloon barges and Coastal Freighter (design 381, 381 tons). Hickinbotham Brothers also called Hickinbotham Brothers Construction Division was opened in 1852 and is still a working shipyard. Hickinbotham Brothers started by building: horse carriages, horse wagons, threshers and Combine harvester. In 1942 Ronald Guntert and L. R. Zimmerman ran the company as a partnership on the Banner Island waterfront. After World War II, Guntert and Zimmerman purchased Hickinbotham out and renamed the company Guntert & Zimmerman Construction. In 1984 the company moved to Ripon, California on the Stanislaus River, as the business continues. The Banner Island waterfront yard was on the deepwater port on the Stockton Ship Channel of the Pacific Ocean and an inland port located more than seventy nautical miles from the ocean, on the Stockton Channel and San Joaquin River-Stockton Deepwater Shipping Channel (before it joins the Sacramento River to empty into Suisun Bay. The Cathedral of the Annunciation is a Catholic cathedral in Stockton, California, United States. It is the seat of the Diocese of Stockton.Archbishop John J. Mitty of San Francisco approved the building of a new parish in the north side of Stockton in 1941. As the population of the city was growing to the north, the decision was made to build a "new" St. Mary's, and then eventually tear down the "old" St. Mary's downtown that had been built in 1893 and was in bad need of repair. Monsignor William E. McGough was the first pastor of the "new" St. Mary's. He worked with San Francisco architect Henry A. Minton and Stockton contractors Shepherd and Green to construct the modified-Gothic church. The building permit for the church was issued on March 5, 1941, for a building that would cost $175,000 and take approximately one year to build. As the Second World War began, the pace of building slowed but did not stop. The building had been fully paid for before construction was finished and the total cost was $285,000. The church was dedicated on December 12, 1942. The church is constructed of reinforced concrete, then faced with brick and ornamented with cast stone. The overall treatment is Gothic. A ninety-two-foot belfry tower is located in the northeast corner. Limestone steps lead to the entrance, which has a vaulted ceiling and terrazzo floor.

Camp Stanford was an American Civil War tent camp established on March 3, 1863, in present-day Stockton, California. It was located in the then undeveloped perimeter of the city, occupying two square blocks of land, now bounded by Rose, Acacia, Van Buren and Monroe streets.The Stockton Daily Independent, of Monday, March 2, 1863, reported: SOLDIERS -- Capt. P.B. WHANNELL, of Company G, 1st cavalry, will bring 28 men to this city on Tuesday night, to go into quarters at the camp selected by Col. BROWN, which, we are informed, will be called 'Camp Stanford.'Camp Stanford served as the mustering point for Company G, 1st Regiment of Cavalry, California Volunteers which was mustered into the United States service on the June 12, 1863. Company F, of that regiment was mustered into service there on October 31, 1863.

Klein Family Field is a baseball stadium in Stockton, California. It is the home field of the University of the Pacific Tigers college baseball team. The stadium holds 2,500 people and opened in 2006. Prior to the completion of Klein Family Field, the Tigers played home games at Billy Hebert Field in Oak Park, Stockton, California.

Kyle & Company or Kyle & Co was a steel shipbuilding company in Stockton, California. To support the World War II demand for ships Kyle & Company built: Coastal tankers and Type B ship deck barges. Kyle & Company was opened as a manufacturer of steel products and build ships for the war. After World War II, the shipyard closed in 1950 and was purchased by Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Co. Kyle & Company also made steel products in Fresno and Sacramento. The shipyard was located on the Stockton Channel at 348 North Harrison Street, now a parking lot near Banner Stadium and Stockton Arena. The Kyle & Company shipyard was on the deepwater port on the Stockton Ship Channel of the Pacific Ocean and an inland port located more than seventy nautical miles from the ocean, on the Stockton Channel and San Joaquin River-Stockton Deepwater Shipping Channel (before it joins the Sacramento River to empty into Suisun Bay).

Moore Equipment Company was founded in 1929 by Stanley S. Moore and his father in Stockton, California. Moore Equipment Company a repair and manufacture company of farm machines, road machines and tools. To support the World War 2 demand for ships Moore Equipment Company built a shipyard and switched over to military construction and built: US Navy YSD-11 Class Seaplane Wrecking Derricks, landing craft and barges. Moore Equipment Company also did work for the US Army repairing and rebuilding jeeps by way of the Ford Motor in Richmond. The shipyard also did Navy ship repair. Moore Equipment Company's main work before the war was on tractors, cranes, trucks, bulldozers, power winches, road scrapers and tools. The Moore Equipment Company office was at 1250 South Wilson Way, Stockton, now the Fairgrounds Industrial Park. Equipment Company sold the factory on February 15, 1944 to International Harvester Company. The shipyard closed after the war.

The Smith Canal is a former barge canal in Stockton, California, United States. It currently runs approximately 2.4 miles (3.9 km) east-northeast from the San Joaquin River, although it previously ran about 0.65 miles (1.05 km) further to El Dorado Street. It was built to carry agricultural produce to the Stockton State Hospital. Today the canal is lined with residential homes and docks for pleasure boats. The eastern end is now known as Yosemite Lake.

Alex G. Spanos Center is a 6,150-seat, indoor multi-purpose stadium on the campus of the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. The Alex G. Spanos Center opened on September 9, 1981, and was constructed for over $7 million. It is named after late Pacific alumnus and Los Angeles Chargers owner Alex Spanos. The arena consists of 3,000 chair-back seats with the rest of the capacity coming from bleacher style seating. If needed, the arena can expand its capacity to 8,000 for certain events. This arena was the premiere sports and entertainment venue in the Stockton area until the completion of Stockton Arena in 2005.

The Stockton Ordance Depot was a World War II vehicle repair facility, supply depot, and camp for German and Italian prisoners of war. The installation was also used as a USAF radar station and a DLA Defense Distribution Center.

Banner Island Ballpark is a baseball stadium located in Stockton, California, on the Stockton waterfront, which seats 5,200 people with 4,200 fixed seats. It is the home field of the Stockton Ports, a minor league affiliate of the Oakland Athletics in the California League, who moved there after spending several decades at their previous home Billy Hebert Field.
