Kyle & Company or Kyle & Co was a steel shipbuilding company in Stockton, California. To support the World War II demand for ships Kyle & Company built: Coastal tankers and Type B ship deck barges. Kyle & Company was opened as a manufacturer of steel products and build ships for the war. After World War II, the shipyard closed in 1950 and was purchased by Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Co. Kyle & Company also made steel products in Fresno and Sacramento. The shipyard was located on the Stockton Channel at 348 North Harrison Street, now a parking lot near Banner Stadium and Stockton Arena. The Kyle & Company shipyard was on the deepwater port on the Stockton Ship Channel of the Pacific Ocean and an inland port located more than seventy nautical miles from the ocean, on the Stockton Channel and San Joaquin River-Stockton Deepwater Shipping Channel (before it joins the Sacramento River to empty into Suisun Bay).

Moore Equipment Company was founded in 1929 by Stanley S. Moore and his father in Stockton, California. Moore Equipment Company a repair and manufacture company of farm machines, road machines and tools. To support the World War 2 demand for ships Moore Equipment Company built a shipyard and switched over to military construction and built: US Navy YSD-11 Class Seaplane Wrecking Derricks, landing craft and barges. Moore Equipment Company also did work for the US Army repairing and rebuilding jeeps by way of the Ford Motor in Richmond. The shipyard also did Navy ship repair. Moore Equipment Company's main work before the war was on tractors, cranes, trucks, bulldozers, power winches, road scrapers and tools. The Moore Equipment Company office was at 1250 South Wilson Way, Stockton, now the Fairgrounds Industrial Park. Equipment Company sold the factory on February 15, 1944 to International Harvester Company. The shipyard closed after the war.

The Adventist Health Arena is an indoor arena in Stockton, California. It opened in December 2005 and seats a maximum of 12,000 fans. It is the home venue of the Stockton Kings of the NBA G League. Former tenants include the Stockton Heat of the American Hockey League, the Stockton Lightning arenafootball2 team, the Stockton Cougars Professional Arena Soccer League team, the Stockton Wolves independent indoor football team, the California Eagles American Indoor Football professional indoor football team and the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL from 2005 until 2015. The Adventist Health Arena is part of a downtown, waterfront entertainment center which includes Banner Island Ballpark, the home of the Stockton Ports minor league baseball team and the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel, all part of the Stockton Waterfront Events Center.

The Stockton Waterfront Events Center is a commercial complex in Stockton, California on the Stockton waterfront. Also known as the Waterfront Entertainment Complex, it includes the 12,000-seat Stockton Arena, the 5,000-seat Banner Island Ballpark, a Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center, a 592-stall parking structure, and commercial/retail space. The Stockton Waterfront Events Center is part of a massive revitalization project that will include a marina, high-rise condominiums, and the Downtown Transit Center.

Hickinbotham Brothers Shipbuilders was a shipbuilding company in Stockton, California on the Stockton Channel. To support the World War II demand for ships Hickinbotham Brothers built: Type V ship Tugboats, Tank Landing Barge, balloon barges and Coastal Freighter (design 381, 381 tons). Hickinbotham Brothers also called Hickinbotham Brothers Construction Division was opened in 1852 and is still a working shipyard. Hickinbotham Brothers started by building: horse carriages, horse wagons, threshers and Combine harvester. In 1942 Ronald Guntert and L. R. Zimmerman ran the company as a partnership on the Banner Island waterfront. After World War II, Guntert and Zimmerman purchased Hickinbotham out and renamed the company Guntert & Zimmerman Construction. In 1984 the company moved to Ripon, California on the Stanislaus River, as the business continues. The Banner Island waterfront yard was on the deepwater port on the Stockton Ship Channel of the Pacific Ocean and an inland port located more than seventy nautical miles from the ocean, on the Stockton Channel and San Joaquin River-Stockton Deepwater Shipping Channel (before it joins the Sacramento River to empty into Suisun Bay. Stockton High School (1904–1966), home of the Tarzans, was a high school in Stockton, California, part of the Stockton Unified School District. It opened in 1904 on property bounded by Harding Way, Vine, San Joaquin and California streets. The main building of the old high school, which became Stockton Junior High School in 1948, was deemed unsafe and demolished in 1966. The rest of the buildings were not earthquake safe and abandoned and demolished. Commodore Skills School opened on the grounds in 1979 and later moved to the building that was formerly Webster Middle School. California Concerts (also referred to as Jazz Goes to High School) is a live album by saxophonist and bandleader Gerry Mulligan featuring performances recorded at the Stockton High School and Herbert Hoover High School. During World War II, Stockton High "sponsored" 275 jeeps in the Schools at War program.

. Colberg Boat Works was a shipbuilding company in Stockton, California on the Stockton Channel. The original WW11 office building burned to the ground in 2023. It was being prepared for movan to Brandon Island.To support the World War II demand for ships Colberg Boat Works built: Minesweepers, Type V ship Tugboats, and Submarine chasers. The minesweepers were an Aggressive-class minesweeper and Agile-class minesweeper class. Colberg Boat Works was opened by two brothers in the late 1890s, William and Henry J Colberg. After World War II, Wilton, Jack and Gordon Colberg sons of Henry Colberg took over the company. The shipyard closed in 1990s. The yard located at 848 West Fremont Street, Stockton, California. The Colberg Boat Works yard was next to the Stephens Bros. Boat Builders yard. The Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium is a performance venue in Stockton, California. Construction began in 1924 and the auditorium opened in November 1925, it seats about 5,000 people. Local architects Glenn Allen and Wright & Satterlee were awarded construction, while Stocktonians conducted bond drives to fund construction of the Memorial Auditorium to honor those who gave their lives while serving in the Armed Forces in World War I.

The Nippon Hospital is a historic hospital building located at 25 S. Commerce St. in Stockton, California. The hospital, which was built in 1919, served the Japanese community in Stockton, which at the time had one of the largest Japanese populations in the United States. Tokutaro Matsumoto, a farmer from the area, sponsored the hospital, which was proposed by a local Japanese community association. The hospital operated until 1930, when it became a hotel. The building is the only surviving structure from Stockton's early Japanese community.The Nippon Hospital was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 18, 1978.

Lone Star Mill is a historical building in Clements, California in San Joaquin County. Lindsay Point site is a California Historical Landmark No. 155, listed on Jan. 11, 1935. The Lone Star Mill was built in 1852 on the Mokelumne River. In 1854 the mill was moved to nearby David S. Terry's ranch. In 1855 a flour mill was added to the mill, In 1856 the mill caught fire and was burnt to the ground. The mill was rebuilt in 1856 and still stand. S.L. Magee purchased the mill and operated the mill till 1881. The Lone Star Mill closed in 1881 due to lack of business. The site was abandoned for years. The mill is at 3801 North Mackville Road in Clements, California, near Stillman L. Magee Park. Historical marker was placed at the site by the Clements 4-H Club in 1950.

Lindsay Point was the First Building in Stockton the site is a historical place in Stockton, California in San Joaquin County. Lindsay Point site is a California Historical Landmark No. 178, listed on March 6, 1935. The first settlers arrived at Rancho Campo de los Franceses in August 1844. One of the early settlers was Thomas Lindsay. Lindsay copied the natives and built a tule reed hut. Lindsay was later killed by natives and buried by other settlers. The Lindsay Point is the meeting site of McLeod Lake (Stockton Channel) and the Miner's Channel. Miner's Channel ran between Miner Street and Channel Street. Miner Street sometimes flood, so it was piped and filled in. In 2000 archaeologists did an excavation of the past site of Miner Channel and uncovered artifacts from 1890s to the 1930s. The excavation was done before the new Cineplex complex was built.Rancho Campo de los Franceses was a 48,747-acre (197.27 km2) Mexican land grant in the San Joaquin County, California. In 1844 by Mexican Governor Manuel Micheltorena granted the land to Guillermo Gulnac. The ranch was given the name Campo de los Franceses, because French-Canadian fur trappers who wintered there. Campo de los Franceses in English is “French Camp”. The Rancho Campo de los Franceses covered the present-day cites of French Camp and Stockton. The excavation was done before the new Cineplex complex was built.A California Historical marker was placed at the Stockton City Hall by The State Department of Parks and Recreation in working with local civic and historical organizations on July 29, 1969.
