Azkoitia

Club Deportivo Anaitasuna is a Spanish football team based in Azkoitia, in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. Founded in 1934, it plays in the Tercera Federación – Group 4, holding home games at Campo Txerloia which has a capacity of 1,500 spectators. The team's name in Basque means brotherhood. Their closest rivals are Lagun Onak from Azpeitia.

The Sanctuary of Loyola or Loiola (Spanish: Santuario de Loyola; Basque: Loiolako Santutegia), or the Shrine and Basilica of Loyola, consists of a series of edifices built in Churrigueresque Baroque style around the birthplace of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus. The sanctuary stands along the river Urola at the neighbourhood of Loyola (Loiola, a place-name meaning 'foundry made of clay', or possibly 'hut made of clay') in the municipality of Azpeitia, Basque Country, Spain. Ignatius of Loyola, whose real name was Iñigo López de Loyola, was the son of the Lord of Loyola, Beltrán Ibáñez de Oñaz and Marina Sánchez de Licona, member of an important Biscayan family. He was born in 1491 in his family house in Loyola.After he died his birthplace became a place of veneration. In the seventeenth century the house where he was born was given to the Society of Jesus. The Order built there, near the birthplace of its founder, the Sanctuary of Loyola. In 1900 the Society commissioned an altar for the sanctuary, employing metalwork artist Plácido Zuloaga, who had won international success creating intricate artworks by damascening, a technique which inlays gold and silver into iron. Zuloaga's iron structure houses panels depicting the life of St. Ignatius, and supports a damascened crucifix and candlesticks from the workshop of José Felipe Artamendi.

Azpeitia (meaning 'down the rock' in Basque) is a town and municipality within the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country, Spain, located on the Urola river a few kilometres east of Azkoitia. Its population is 14,580 (as of 2014). It is located 41 kilometres southwest of Donostia/San Sebastián. Azpeitia is the birthplace of Ignatius of Loyola. The house of his birth is now preserved as a part of large Jesuit compound, the Sanctuary of Loyola, a major attraction of tourists and pilgrims alike. It is also the birthplace of Renaissance composer Juan de Anchieta. Azpeitia lies at the foot of the massive Izarraitz towering over the town and much visited by the townspeople. The Basque Railway Museum is located in the town.

Founded in 1944 it plays in Tercera Federación – Group 4, holding home games at Estadio Garmendipe, which has a capacity of 1,500 spectators. The team's name in Basque means good friends. Their closest rivals are Anaitasuna from Azkoitia.

The Basque Railway Museum (Basque: Burdinbidearen Euskal Museoa, Spanish: Museo Vasco del Ferrocarril) is located in Azpeitia, Basque Country, Spain. It has a collection of steam locomotives and other rolling stock as well as other items, most of them related to the Basque narrow gauge railway network. The museum is located in the former railway station in Azpeitia.The museum operates a heritage railway between Azpeitia and Lasao, on the former Urola railway line. The 4.5 km (2.8 mi) line is isolated from the Euskotren network.

Urretxu (Spanish, Villareal de Urrechu) is a town located in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, northern Spain. Situated on the Urola river, it is contiguous with the larger town of Zumarraga immediately to the south, with the river making the boundary between them.

Zumarraga ([s̻umaraɣa]) is a municipality and industrial town in Gipuzkoa province of the Basque Country autonomous community of northern Spain, approximately 35 miles (56 km) by road southwest of San Sebastián and 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Idiazabal. As of 2018 the municipality had a population of 9834 people. The Urola river flows through the vicinity. It is the birthplace of Miguel López de Legazpi, conquistador who explored the Pacific Islands and the East Indies, and of Iñaki Urdangarín, the husband of Infanta Cristina of Spain.

Soraluze (Basque) or Placencia de las Armas (Spanish), officially Soraluze-Placencia de las Armas, is a town located in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country, Spain. The town of Placencia de las Armas has been involved since its foundation in the manufacture of weapons of all kinds. At its founding in 1343, it called Placencia Soraluze then in the fifteenth century it added "las Armas" or "weapons" to its name in reference to its main industry. In this village the Royal Guns Factory ended weapons manufacturing in the middle of the twentieth century. Its coat of arms consists of the following elements: a field of gules a castle battlements three gold exiting their respective sides small white flags with the cross of Burgundy. The field is surrounded by a rope whose sides have two lions and various weapons. The head of a crown has 9 points.

Ezkio-Itsaso (formerly in Spanish, Ezquioga-Ichaso) is a municipality in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, in northern Spain. It was founded in 1965 by the fusion of the municipalities of Ezkio and Itsaso. In December 2016 the Regional Council of Gipuzkoa tried to split Ezkio-Itsaso into two independent municipalities. However, this was refused by the Spanish central government and finally dismissed by court decisions (judgments of 09/07/2018 and 09/20/2019 of the TSJ Madrid). Ezkio was renowned in the 1930s for the apparitions of the Virgin Mary even though the Catholic Church has not authenticated them. There is an advanced project to build an AVE high-speed train station in Ezkio-Itsaso that would become an important travel hub connecting the Basque Y to Navarre.

Karakate, also known as Muneta or Kortazar, is a mountain located in the northeast of Gipuzkoa in Basque Country, Spain. It belongs to the Irukurutzeta Range of the wider Basque Mountains. The mountain has an maximum height of 749 meters.

Club Deportivo Elgoibar is a football team based in Elgoibar in the autonomous community of Basque Country. Founded in 1917, it plays in the Tercera División – Group 4. Its stadium is Mintxeta with a capacity of 4,000 seats.
