Club Deportivo Lagun Onak is a Spanish football team based in Azpeitia, in the autonomous community of Basque Country. Founded in 1944 it plays in Tercera Federación – Group 4, holding home games at Estadio Garmendipe, which has a capacity of 1,500 spectators. The team's name in Basque means good friends. Their closest rivals are Anaitasuna from Azkoitia.

The Basque Railway Museum (Basque: Burdinbidearen Euskal Museoa, Spanish: Museo Vasco del Ferrocarril) is located in Azpeitia, Basque Country, Spain. It has a collection of steam locomotives and other rolling stock as well as other items, most of them related to the Basque narrow gauge railway network. The museum is located in the former railway station in Azpeitia.The museum operates a heritage railway between Azpeitia and Lasao, on the former Urola railway line. The 4.5 km (2.8 mi) line is isolated from the Euskotren network.

The Sanctuary of Loyola or Loiola (Spanish: Santuario de Loyola; Basque: Loiolako Santutegia), or the Shrine and Basilica of Loyola, consists of a series of edifices built in Churrigueresque Baroque style around the birthplace of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus. The sanctuary stands along the river Urola at the neighbourhood of Loyola (Loiola, a place-name meaning 'foundry made of clay', or possibly 'hut made of clay') in the municipality of Azpeitia, Basque Country, Spain. Ignatius of Loyola, whose real name was Iñigo López de Loyola, was the son of the Lord of Loyola, Beltrán Ibáñez de Oñaz and Marina Sánchez de Licona, member of an important Biscayan family. He was born in 1491 in his family house in Loyola.After he died his birthplace became a place of veneration. In the seventeenth century the house where he was born was given to the Society of Jesus. The Order built there, near the birthplace of its founder, the Sanctuary of Loyola. In 1900 the Society commissioned an altar for the sanctuary, employing metalwork artist Plácido Zuloaga, who had won international success creating intricate artworks by damascening, a technique which inlays gold and silver into iron. Zuloaga's iron structure houses panels depicting the life of St. Ignatius, and supports a damascened crucifix and candlesticks from the workshop of José Felipe Artamendi.

Ezquioga, also called Ezkioga, now Ezkio, is a small town, part of the municipality of Ezquioga-Ichaso since 1965, now Ezkio-Itsaso, in the Spanish province of Guipúzcoa or Gipuzkoa, in the autonomous community of the Basque Country. The electoral system uses the D'Hondt method and a closed-list proportional representation, with a minimum threshold of three percent.

Gipuzkoa (US: , gee-POO-skoh-ə, -⁠POOTH-koh-, Basque: [ɡipus̻ko.a]; Spanish: Guipúzcoa [ɡiˈpuθkoa] ; French: Guipuscoa) is a province of Spain and a historical territory of the autonomous community of the Basque Country. Its capital city is Donostia-San Sebastián. Gipuzkoa shares borders with the French department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques at the northeast, with the province and autonomous community of Navarre at east, Biscay at west, Álava at southwest and the Bay of Biscay to its north. It is located at the easternmost extreme of the Cantabric Sea, in the Bay of Biscay. It has 66 kilometres (41 miles) of coast land. With a total area of 1,980 square kilometres (760 square miles), Gipuzkoa is the smallest province of Spain. The province has 89 municipalities and a population of 720,592 inhabitants (2018), from which more than half live in the Donostia-San Sebastián metropolitan area. Apart from the capital, other important cities are Irun, Errenteria, Zarautz, Mondragón, Eibar, Hondarribia, Oñati, Tolosa, Beasain and Pasaia. The oceanic climate gives the province an intense green colour with little thermic oscillation. Gipuzkoa is the province of the Basque Country in which the Basque language is the most extensively used since 49.1% of its population spoke Basque in 2006.
