Pla de Mallorca

Vilafranca de Bonany is a small municipality in the district of Pla on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands in Spain. It is an agricultural town, known for its market stalls along the highway selling spices, fruits, and vegetables as well as tiny doughnuts called bunyols in Majorcan language and buñuelos in Spanish, and also known for the historic Santa Barbara Church built in the 1730s.In the northeast outskirts of the town is a 17th-century monastery called Ermita de Bonany, or Hermitage of Bonany. It was built in thanks for a good harvest; the name "Bonany" literally means "good year".This town borders Felanitx, Porreres, Sant Joan, Petra (birthplace of Junípero Serra) and Manacor.

Ariany (Catalan pronunciation: [əɾiˈaɲ]) is a small municipality on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain. It has an area of 22.72 km ² with 839 inhabitants in 2008, 763 of which lived in the main town. In 2006, the foreign population of the municipality was 10.4% (80 people).

Montuïri is municipality in central Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain. It is a small town built on a hill. Cyclist Gabriel Mas was born here. It is the birthplace of Macià Manera, ex-member of Terra Lliure imprisoned during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The Astronomical Observatory of Mallorca (Spanish: Observatorio Astronómico de Mallorca, OAM) is an observatory just south of Costitx, Mallorca, Spain.The observatory was inaugurated in May 1991 and was the first astronomical center in the Balearic Islands autonomous community and province of Spain.The observatory is a pioneer among Spanish observatories and uses robotic telescopes (four of them located at La Sagra in Andalucia) to discover and track asteroids.Researchers at the OAM have found asteroids that are potential threats to Earth, such as the 2006 WH1. Salvador Sánchez is director of the OAM. In 2008, asteroid number 128036, discovered at the OAM in 2003, was named after Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal. As of 2008, the OAM tracks more than 2,000 asteroids.There is a large planetarium attached to the observatory, which often runs performances open to the public. The Open University is one of a number of academic institutions which runs summer schools at the observatory.In March 2017, the observatory has closed and gone into liquidation. The land will be up for auction at €1.7 million.

Llubí is a small municipality on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain. It has population of 1,800 inhabitants. It is located approximately 28 mi (45 km) from the capital city Palma de Mallorca.Llubí is mostly known for its cultivation of capers and traditional Majorcan architecture.

Costitx (in Spanish, Costich) is a small municipality on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain. The Observatorio Astronómico de Mallorca is situated just south of Costitx.

Santa Margalida is a municipality with a population of 10,204 located in the northeast of the Spanish Balearic Island Majorca. The residents are divided over three settlement areas, the principal one being Santa Margalida, 10 km inland from the coast. The other areas are primarily Tourist resorts, Can Picafort and Son Serra de Marina on the coast at the bay of Alcúdia. The non-national population stands at 23.6% (2,413).

Ibiza, in particular, is known as an international party destination, attracting many of the world's most popular DJs to its nightclubs. The islands' culture and cuisine are similar to those of the rest of Spain but have their own distinctive features.
