Hauz Khas is a neighborhood in South Delhi, its heart being the historic Hauz Khas Complex. Well known in medieval times, the Hauz Khas village has amazing buildings built around the reservoir. There are remnants of Islamic architecture roughly colored by splotches of urban culture. It is centrally located and offers both rural Hauz Khas Village and urban Hauz Khas Enclave, Market environments. Hauz Khas is also home to various diplomatic missions such as the ones of Albania, Iraq, Guinea Bissau, Burundi, and North Macedonia. Historically Hauz Khas was known as Hauz-e-Alai and is the place where Khusro Khan of Delhi Sultanate was defeated by Ghazi Malik (Governor of Dipalpur) in 1320. Hauz Khas is witnessing the growth of trendy shops and lodgings. It is now becoming the center for domestic and international tourists and backpackers. The area also is home to historical monuments and has easy access to the Delhi Metro, making it a preferred location for many visitors to India and domestic middle-class visitors from other Indian states. The area attracts young tourists with numerous hostels and cafes.

The Mother's International School (MIS) is a private secondary school in New Delhi, India. It is an establishment of the Sri Aurobindo Education Society, an agency of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. It shares its campus with the New Delhi branch of the Ashram. The school is an English-medium co-educational institution affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Sri Aurobindo College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi in India. It was established in year 1972, which was the birth centenary year of the philosopher, patriot-poet, Sri Aurobindo. The college is situated in South Delhi in Malviya Nagar, in the vicinity of Qutab Minar, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, IIT (Delhi), NCERT and Qutab Institutional Area.The college is a constituent part of University of Delhi.Recently in 2022 , this college completed its 50 years of establishment .

Malviya Nagar is an affluent residential locality in South Delhi with property prices over 17,000 per sqft. It known for its huge market which has various upscale restaurants and shops. It is between Saket and Hauz Khas and close to IIT Delhi. It is named after the freedom fighter Madan Mohan Malviya who was also an educator and founded Banaras Hindu University.Malviya Nagar was initially populated in the 1950s by refugees from Pakistan, after the Partition of India. A large portion of the population were ethnic Rajasthani, U.P., Haryanvi, Punjabis and Sindhis, as well as Afghan refugees who arrived during the Soviet–Afghan War in 1971.Today, Malviya Nagar is bounded by Panchsheel Enclave in the north, Sheikh Sarai in the east, Saket in the south and Sarvapriya Vihar in the west. It is serviced by the Malviya Nagar station located on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro. Malviya Nagar is also home to Delhi Police's Training School.

Siri Fort Auditorium is premier multi-auditorium complex of Government of India. Situated in the Siri Fort in New Delhi, it is also the headquarters of the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, which also run the complex. Also close by is the Siri Fort Sports Complex. It was a combined seating capacity of 2500, spread over its four auditorium, making it the largest such complex in Delhi. Besides the National Film Festival organized by DFF wherein public screening of National Film Award winning films is held, it also hosts musical concerts, cultural performances, and plays.

The Jagannath Temple in New Delhi, India is a modern temple built by the Odia community of Delhi dedicated to the Hindu God Jagannath. The temple located in Hauz Khas is famous for its annual Rathyatra festival attended by thousands of devotees.
