Bugbrooke is a village and civil parish in Northamptonshire, England, on a ridge overlooking the valley of the River Nene.

Bugbrooke St Michaels Football Club is an English football club based in Bugbrooke, Northamptonshire. They are members of the United Counties League Premier Division South and play at Birds Close.

Bugbrooke Meadows is a 10.1-hectare (25-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Nether Heyford in Northamptonshire. One of the fields with an area of 1.7 hectares is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.These meadows on the bank of the River Nene which have not been treated with fertilisers, and they often flood in winter. They are probably unique in the county, and they have very diverse damp grassland flora such as jointed rush and greater pond sedge. There are ancient hedges which are important both historically and as a habitat for wildlife.There is access to the site from the Nene Way between Kislingbury and Nether Heyford, and by a footpath from Bugbrooke.

Nether Heyford is a village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire, England, close to the M1 motorway and the A5 and A45 roads, 6 miles (10 km) west of Northampton and 70 miles (113 km) northwest of London. The smaller village of Upper Heyford is about half a mile to the north. Nether Heyford takes its name from 'Hay ford'. Alternatively, 'hedge ford' or enclosure ford'. In 1086, in the Domesday Book, the name is recorded as "Heiforde". The Post Office once called the village Lower Heyford, but the name was restored to Nether Heyford after reference to it in local deeds. The village is on the flood plain of the River Nene and used to be subjected to flooding, as Watery Lane suggests. In 1699, a Roman pavement was found in Harestone Meadow to the east of the village.

Upper Heyford is a village and civil parish 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Northampton, just before Weedon, Northamptonshire, England, not to be confused with one of the same name some 30 miles away across the county border in Oxfordshire. It sat along the former A45 road until a bypass opened on 15 November 2018, and is close 0.5 miles (0.8 km) by road to the M1 London to Yorkshire motorway junction 16, 72 miles (116 km) north of London and 38 miles (61 km) southeast of Birmingham. The village of Nether Heyford, with which it shares a primary school, church and other facilities, is about 0.5 miles (0.8 km) to the south.

The Harpole Treasure is a collection of Anglo-Saxon artefacts excavated at a bed burial discovered in spring 2022 in Harpole, Northamptonshire, England. It includes a necklace described as "the most ornate of its kind ever found". The Anglo-Saxon site dates to between 630 and 670 CE. The woman buried at the site is presumed to have been of high status in the early Christian church. The archaeological site is classified as a bed burial, in which the person, typically a woman of high status, was interred on top of a bed.

Kislingbury is a village in Northamptonshire, England, about 4 miles (6 km) west of Northampton town centre, and close to junctions 15A and 16 of the M1 motorway. The villages name origin is uncertain. 'At the gravelly-place fortification' or perhaps, 'at the fortification of Cysel's people'.

Prior to the opening in the 1959 of the M1 Motorway and the M6 Motorway a little later, the A5 was the main route by road from London to north Wales and north-west England.

The village lies adjacent to the Roman road Watling Street (A5) and Banbury Lane, an ancient drove way, 4 miles north of Towcester and 7 miles south of Northampton. The civil parish of Pattishall includes the villages of Pattishall, Eastcote, Astcote and Dalscote, part of Fosters Booth, and the hamlet of Cornhillin Eastcote).

Glassthorpe is a deserted hamlet and manor between Flore and Upper Heyford in the Hundred of Nobottle of Daventry District, in Northamptonshire, England. Glassthorp Hill is set in Northampton Sand with an elevation of about 125 metres (410 ft).
