Pikeview (Pike View, Pike's View) is a neighborhood of Colorado Springs, annexed to the city as the "Pike View Addition" on August 1, 1962. In 1896 there was a Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad station in Pikeview, and miners had begun digging a shaft for the Pikeview Coal Mine. Pikeview also had a quarry beginning 1905 for the mining of limestone for concrete. Coal mining ended in 1957, but the Pikeview Quarry continues to operate. Quarry operations, though, have created a gash or scar in the landscape and efforts have been made since the late 1980s to reclaim the hillside landscape. The Greg Francis Bighorn Sheep Habitat in what had been Queens Canyon Quarry was founded in 2003 in recognition of the individuals and organizations that have worked to create a nature hillside habitat.

CIVA Charter High School, whose acronym stands for Character, Integrity, Vision, and the Arts, is a public charter school in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. It is authorized by Colorado Springs District 11.

Colorado Springs Christian Schools is a 501c3 private Christian school system in the cities of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Woodland Park, Colorado. It has a "​Colorado Springs Campus" at 4855 Mallow Road, and​​ a "Woodland Park Campus", at 1003 Tamarac Parkway. It includes Pre-K to high school level education. It has two middle schools and includes Colorado Springs Christian High School. It was founded in 1971.As has happened for many private schools, CSCS has grown during COVID-19. CSCS re-opened earlier than public schools in its area. CSCS' students' problems dealing with Covid were addressed in a 2021 event.The Woodland Park campus was opened in 2005 as a K-5 school, and added 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels successively in 2019, 2020, 2021.

Colorado Technical University (CTU) is a private for-profit university with its main campus in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The university is owned by Perdoceo Education Corporation. Founded in 1965, CTU offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees, primarily in business, management, and technology. About 92% of Colorado Tech's students are fully online. According to Colorado Tech, the university has conferred more than 118,000 degrees worldwide.Colorado Tech has no public or official affiliation with the State of Colorado.

The Cottonwood Creek Bridge is a bridge over Cottonwood Creek in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The structure is on the National Register of Historic Places.The bridge was completed on what was a major Colorado north–south road in 1923 and is one of the few long cantilevered, girder bridges in the state from the 1920s. It has a concrete deck and is made of four 53-foot spans. It is made with a "hammered concrete treatment on the spandrels and cast concrete balusters forming the guardrails."

Austin Bluffs is a summit in the Pikeview area of Colorado Springs in El Paso County, Colorado, at 6,673 feet (2,034 m) in elevation. It is also a residential area, that was once a settlement and the site of a tuberculosis sanatorium. The University of Colorado Colorado Springs campus was moved there in 1965. The summit also lends its name to a principal arterial road of the Colorado Springs area which traverses the southern and central sections of the corridor. It divides the Austin Bluffs open space from Palmer Park, and the Templeton Gap is located here as well.

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is a public research university in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is one of four campuses that make up the University of Colorado system. As of Fall 2017, UCCS had over 12,400 undergraduate and 1,822 graduate students, with 32% ethnic minority students. It is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity".

The Colorado Springs School of Technology (CSST) is an upcoming STEM-focused public innovation school in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Operating autonomously as part of Colorado Springs School District 11, it is set to open in the 2025–26 academic year with approximately 100 students in the ninth and tenth grades, expanding in subsequent years. Designed to prepare area students for future careers in aerospace and cybersecurity, CSST is a collaboration of many different educational, business, and government institutions, including the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, National Cybersecurity Center, United States Air Force Academy, and more.

Nichols Field, also known as Alexander Airport, was an airfield 3 mi (4.8 km) north of the Colorado Springs, Colorado city between the Pikeview RR station, and the Papeton and Roswell neighborhoods.

Cragmor, first known as Cragmoor, is an area in northeastern Colorado Springs, Colorado, between Templeton Gap and Austin Bluffs. A coal mining site during the 19th century, the area became known as the Cragmor around the turn of the century because the Cragmor Sanitorium was located there. By the 1950s, the mines were abandoned and the land was developed for housing. Cragmor was annexed to the City of Colorado Springs in the early 1960s. The Cragmor Sanatorium became the main hall for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs campus.

Templeton Gap is a gap between hills and bluffs located in northeastern Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado. It was used by Native Americans to reach Ute Pass and was an area that oxen trains traveled to reach Colorado Springs. Templeton Ranch was operated by A.J. Templeton, for whom the feature is named. During heavy rains, water pools in a basin about the city and funnels through the gap and has resulted in devastating floods. The Templeton Gap Floodway was built in 1949 to divert waters and reduce the likelihood of flooding. The city operates a trail named Templeton Gap trail.

Roswell, now annexed into the city of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was a coal mine settlement near the northern bluffs of Colorado Springs and a 19th-century railroad junction. The town was located at roughly the present intersection of Fillmore Street and North Nevada Avenue in Colorado Springs.
