Lake Masazir

Novxanı (also, Novkhany, Novkhana, Novxana, and Nobkhana) is a village and municipality in the Absheron District of Azerbaijan. It has a population of 4,468. The name means new house in Persian language.

The Shah Sultan Hussein Mosque (Azerbaijani: Şah Sultan Hüseyn Məscidi) is a former mosque, located in the village of Novkhany in Absheron district of Azerbaijan, 21 km (13 mi) from Baku. Completed in the 18th century, it is estimated that the former mosque was once located in the center of an ancient residential center, which currently is a desert.

Saray (also, Sarai) is a village and the most populous municipality after the capital Xırdalan, in the Absheron Rayon of Azerbaijan. It has a population of 37,700.

The Binagadi asphalt lake (or Binagadi tar pits; Azerbaijani: Binəqədi gölü) are a cluster of tar pits in urban Baku, Azerbaijan. Asphaltum or tar has seeped up from the ground in this area for tens of thousands of years. The tar is often covered with dust, leaves, or water. Over many centuries, animals that were trapped in the tar were preserved as bones. This ancient flora and fauna deposit is protected by the State as a monument of a nature of the special significance pursuant to the Decree of the Government of Azerbaijan Republic No. 167 of March 16, 1982.

Xırdalan (Khyrdalan) is a city, municipality and the capital of the Absheron District of Azerbaijan. It has a population of 95,200. Khyrdalan is home of country's biggest brewery Baltika Baku, previously known as Khyrdalan . A monument to Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak was erected in 2007 in the city. Similarly, a statue of Heydar Aliyev was erected in Cairo in 2008. In the wake of the 2011 Egyptian protests, the Azerbaijani opposition, led by the Musavat Party, demanded the demolition of the statue, calling it a "worship of idols". On 8 June 2011, the statue was taken down following Mubarak's resignation.On 29 November 2006, the settlement gained city status after its approval by the National Assembly of Azerbaijan.

The Battle of Baku (Azerbaijani: Bakı döyüşü, Turkish: Bakü Muharebesi, Russian: Битва за Баку) was a battle in World War I that took place between August–September 1918 between the Ottoman–Azerbaijani coalition forces led by Nuri Pasha and Bolshevik–ARF Baku Soviet forces, later succeeded by the British–Armenian–White Russian forces led by Lionel Dunsterville and saw Soviet Russia briefly re-enter the war. The battle was fought as a conclusive part of the Caucasus Campaign, but as a beginning of the Armenian–Azerbaijani War.

Binəqədi raion (also, Binagadi, Binagady, Binaghad, and Bonogady) is a raion in Baku, Azerbaijan. The rayon has a population of 240,800, of which 112,000 is in the municipality. Binagadi district (former Kirov region) is located in Baku administrative area and is located 10.5 km from the city center, in the North-West of the Absheron Peninsula. Territory is 147,06 sq. M, administrative center is M. Rasulzadeh settlement.

Binəqədi (also, Binagadi, Binagady, Binaghad, and Bonogady) is an urban-type settlement and municipality in the eponymous Binəqədi raion of Baku, Azerbaijan. It is located 7 km (4.3 mi) from the Biləcəri railway station .

Sulutəpə (also, Sulutepe or Sulu Tepe) is a settlement in Baku, Azerbaijan. The settlement forms part of the municipality of Biləcəri in Binəqədi raion.It is an unofficial township built up in the 1980s by rural migrants and refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh. There is oil there, and oil wells, on the land occupied by residents, ownership being claimed by "Binagadi Oil", which is, in turn, owned by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Company "Global Energy Azerbaijan" which is registered in the Virgin Islands. Attempts by the oil company to evict squatters and demolish illegal construction have been controversial with residents strongly contesting the oil companies claims. It was reported that on April 17, 2012 a mob of local residents attacked oil company employees demolishing houses and that the employees, in turn, severely beat a local Azeri reporter, Idrak Abbasov, while he was filming the incident.

Jeyranbatan reservoir (Azerbaijani: Jeyranbatan su anbarı) is a reservoir in the Absheron Rayon in eastern part of Azerbaijan. It is located between Baku and Sumgayit cities (today an official territory of Baku), next to Ceyranbatan settlement. In Azerbaijani language, Jeyranbatan means "the place where the gazelle has drowned" which refers to an ancient legend related to the naming of the city of Sumgayit.

Hammam Haji Mejid (Azerbaijani: Hacı Məcid hamamı) is a hammam (bathhouse) built in the 16th century in the Sumgait region of Jorat, Azerbaijan. Despite its historical value, the building is not protected by the state; it is abandoned and gradually disintegrating.
