La Courneuve

The canton of La Courneuve is an administrative division of the Seine-Saint-Denis department, Île-de-France region, northern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in La Courneuve.It consists of the following communes: Le Bourget La Courneuve Dugny

La Courneuve – Aubervilliers is a station on the line B of the Réseau Express Régional, a hybrid suburban commuter and rapid transit line. It is named after the town of La Courneuve where the station is located, and the nearby town of Aubervilliers, both northern suburbs of Paris, in the Seine-Saint-Denis department of France.

The Fort d'Aubervilliers is a former fortification of Paris built for 1842 to 1846 in Aubervilliers to control the "route de Flandre", now Route nationale 2, to the northeast of Paris. The Fort d'Aubervilliers is part of the first ring of Paris fortifications outside the old city walls built by Adolphe Thiers in the 1840s to defend the capital against invasion and to control the city's rebellions.

Mairie d'Aubervilliers (French pronunciation: ​[mɛʁi dobɛʁvilje]) is the northern terminus of line 12 of the Paris Métro. The station is located near Aubervilliers town hall and opened on 31 May 2022. In the future, it will be served by line 15 as part of the Grand Paris Express Project.

Fort de l'Est is a military strong point designed to protect Paris. It was built between 1841 and 1843 in Saint-Denis at the direction of French prime minister Adolphe Thiers, and was part of an immense defensive belt comprising 17 detached forts and the Thiers Wall surrounding Paris. The evolution of artillery quickly made these fortifications obsolete. The fort is still used by the French Army. Units associated with the fort include a number of reserve units and the headquarters of the National Association of Reserve Warrant Officers. French Foreign Legion units associated with Operation Vigipirate are also stationed at Fort de l'Est. The northeast bastion of the formerly four-sided fort was removed to make way for the A1 autoroute, from which the fort is visible, and faces the Lycée Suger secondary school, built in 1994. The military files concerning military insubordinations of World War I in the French Army are preserved there, as well as some unclassified files from the library of the former garrison. The glacis of the fort is partly occupied by community gardens.

Lycée Robert Schuman is a Catholic private senior high school/sixth-form college in Dugny, Seine-Saint-Denis, France, in the Paris metropolitan area. Christian engineers established the school in 1920.

Dugny (French pronunciation: [dyɲi] (listen)) is a commune in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 12.4 km (7.7 mi) from the centre of Paris. About a third of Le Bourget airport lies on the territory of the commune of Dugny, including its main terminal and the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace (air and space museum). Nonetheless, the airport was named after the neighbouring commune of Le Bourget.
