Tulln an der Donau (lit. 'Tulln on the Danube') is a historic town in the Austrian state of Lower Austria, the administrative seat of Tulln District. Because of its abundance of parks and gardens, Tulln is often referred to as Blumenstadt ("City of Flowers"), and "The City of Togetherness" following the initiative of Peter Eisenschenk, Mayor of Tulln.

Comagena was a fortified Roman camp on the Danube, on the site of the modern town of Tulln on the Danube in Lower Austria, Austria. Built as a defensive work along the Norican frontier, it originally housed an ala of up to 500 cavalry troops (ala I Commagenorum). From its exposed situation, it was able to guard a militarily significant ford over the Danube and control the valley lowlands for a good distance upstream and down. Several phases of rebuilding at the site have been identified: it was established, as an earth-and-timber encampment, in the late 1st century AD, probably under Domitian, and in the early 2nd century stone fortifications were constructed. In its later days the fort served as the base of a naval fleet (the classis Comaginensis), as well as a cavalry regiment (equites promoti). Excavations to the west and south of the fort have uncovered evidence of at least two associated vici (civilian settlements) and three graveyards.

The Aubad is a 50,000-square-metre (12-acre) man-made lake in Tulln on the Danube, Austria. It is the centerpiece of a recreational park (Erholungspark) that includes facilities for swimming, as well as a 10-hectare (25-acre) area for sport and leisure activities—such as soccer, volleyball, baseball and basketball—and 15 hectares (37 acres) of woodland. The lake and park are popular summertime resorts for both townspeople and tourists.

Fliegerhorst Brumowski (Brumowski Air Base) is an Austrian Air Force (German: Österreichische Luftstreitkräfte) base located approximately 5 km (3 mi) east-southeast of Tulln; about 30 km (19 mi) northwest of Vienna. Units currently based there are the Pilatus PC-6 B2H2 Turbo Porter of 4th Air Squadron, Flight Regiment 1; the Sikorsky S-70A-42 Black Hawk of 1st Helicopter Squadron, Flight Regiment 1, the Agusta Bell AB206A Jet Ranger of 2nd Helicopter Squadron, Flight Regiment 1; and the Agusta Bell AB206A Jet Ranger and Bell OH-58B Kiowa of 3rd Helicopter Squadron, Flight Regiment 1.In addition, the base is the headquarters of the Luftunterstützungsgeschwader (Air Support Wing); it also houses the Bundesfachschule für Flugtechnik (Federal School for Aeronautical Engineering) and Fliegerwerft 1, responsible for overhauls and maintenance.

Goldgeben is a village with 546 inhabitants in the Korneuburg District in Lower Austria. It was incorporated on 1 January 1972. as a cadastral municipality Marktleiinde Hausleiten.The village was first mentioned in the first third of the 12th-century. Its name refers to gold deposits in ancient times, long before the Danube regulation, when the shores and islands of the branched arms of the Danube River were populated by gold miners. For the production of gold, felt wipes were used to catch dust in the fibers. The family of Leopoldus de Goldgeben took its name after the village around the years 1120–30.Originally, the Bishop of Passau was the owner of the land. From 1582 Goldgeben was subject to Count Hardegg in Stetteldorf. The village chapel, built of wood in 1841, was rebuilt with bricks in 1855.
