Rodovia Doutor Roberto Moreira (official designation PLN-010, also known as Estrada da Rhodia) is a highway in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Just 19 km long, this double-lane highway has a high traffic within the urban zones of Paulínia. Is maintained by the Paulínia City Hall. It is best known as the road that connects the city of Paulínia to the subdistrict of Betel and the town of Campinas (subdistrict Barão Geraldo).

Paulínia is a Brazilian municipality in the interior of the state of São Paulo. It is located in the northwest of the São Paulo Macrometropolis and is about 119 km from the state capital. It occupies an area of 139 km² and in 2018, IBGE estimated its population at 106,776. It was emancipated on February 28, 1964, but its foundation dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. The town is named after José Paulino Nogueira, a well-known farmer in the Campinas region, the municipality from which Paulínia emancipated and who lent his name to the railroad station around which the town developed. It is located in the Rio-São Paulo axis, serving as a link between Greater São Paulo and cities in the area, such as Cosmópolis, Artur Nogueira, and Conchal. It is known for hosting one of the largest petrochemical poles in Latin America, centered on the Paulínia Refinery (Replan). Thanks to Replan and the petrochemical pole, which are based in the northern part of the city, Paulínia has the seventh highest per capita income in Brazil. Also due to the pole, the city presents high levels of ozone pollution, mainly in the district of Betel and in the Replan region, where companies such as Rhodia, Purina, Shell, Syngenta, and Petrobras are located. Paulínia stands out for its intense population growth, the largest in the Metropolitan Region of Campinas. Historically, the service sector has not been very important for the municipality, but recently it has been developing because of projects like Paulínia Magia do Cinema (English: Paulínia Magic of Cinema). The municipality is formed by the city of Paulínia and the district of Betel, in the eastern region. Paulínia is part of the so-called Extended Metropolitan Complex, which exceeds 29 million inhabitants, approximately 75% of the population of the entire state of São Paulo. The metropolitan regions of Campinas and São Paulo already form the first megalopolis in the southern hemisphere, uniting 65 municipalities that together are home to 12% of the Brazilian population.

Estádio Municipal Luiz Perissinotto, usually known as Estádio Luiz Perissinotto or, sometimes by its nicknames Bermudas and Municipal, is a multi-use stadium in Paulínia, Brazil. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 10,070 people. It was inaugurated on 2000 and extended in 2006. The stadium is owned by the Paulínia City Hall, and it is the home stadium of Paulínia Futebol Clube.

São José is a neighborhood in the Brazilian city of Paulínia. The city had 12,653 inhabitants as of 2008.

Betel is a district of Paulínia, located 5 km to the East of Paulínia downtown, bordering the Campinas district of Barão Geraldo. Its area is about 49.5 km2 and it had a population of 6,242 at the time of the 2010 IBGE census. In 1993, the region was part of the district of Barão Geraldo in Campinas. That year, a referendum concerning its accession to Paulínia was held, as Betel was economically very attached to the city; the population voted to join the Paulínia municipality, which subsequently expanded in area.

Arquivo Edgard Leuenroth is a historical and media archive that is maintained by the Brazilian State University of Campinas (Universidade Estadual de Campinas—Unicamp), located in the city of Campinas in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It was started by a donation of the media collection assembled by Brazilian anarchist journalist and publisher Edgard Leuenroth (1881–1968).The Arquivo Edgard Leuenroth has the largest collection of materials regarding social movements, counterculture, and other alternative cultural movements in Brazil. This collection is, therefore, very much appreciated by researchers from all over the world, because it presents a non-official view and understanding of Brazil in the twentieth century. Among others, the Feminist Movement (or Movimento Feminista) and the Homosexual Movement (or Movimento Homossexual, in this case, the Grupo Gay da Bahia), are among the many collections being maintained by the Arquivo Edgard Leuenroth of the State University of Campinas. The collection includes 280,000 documents, 28,000 books, 854 videos, 289 films, 1,419 audio recordings and 45,000 photographs.

Laboratório Nacional de Luz Síncrotron (Portuguese pronunciation: [laboɾɐˈtɔɾju nɐsjoˈnaw dʒi ˈlus ˈsĩkɾotɾõ]; LNLS) is the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory, a research institution on physics, chemistry, material science and life sciences. It is located in the city of Campinas, sub-district of Barão Geraldo, state of São Paulo, Brazil. The Center, which is operated by the Brazilian Center of Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM) under a contract with the National Research Council (CNPq) and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Brazil, has the only particle accelerator (a synchrotron) in Latin America, which was designed and built in Brazil by a team of physicists, technicians and engineers. Currently, the Brazilian Synchrotron has 6 different beamlines in operation for its user community, covering energies ranging from a few electronvolts to tens of kiloelectronvolts. The uses include: X-Ray Nanoscopy Coherent and Time-resolsed X-ray Scattering X-ray Spectroscopy e Diffraction in Extreme Conditions Infrared Micro and Nanospectroscopy Resonant Inelastic X-ray scattering and Photoelectron spectroscopy Macromolecular Micro and Nanocrystallography These beamlines are part of Sirius, a 3 GeV synchrotron light source. The plan includes an initial 13 beamlines, with a final goal of 40, ranging from 10 eV to 100 keV. It was inaugurated in 2018.
