Western Railway (Austria)

Wien Westbahnhof (Vienna West station) is a major Austrian railway station, the original starting point of the West railway (Westbahn) and a former terminus of international rail services. In 2015, its role changed with the opening of Vienna's new main station and Westbahnhof now is mainly a commuter station and the terminus of private rail operator WESTbahn's intercity service from Salzburg. Locally, Wien Westbahnhof is served by S-Bahn line S50 and U-Bahn lines U3 and U6. Six tram lines converge on Europaplatz in front of the station, although none go into the city centre. There are also buses to the airport.

The Gürtel (lit. 'Belt') is a substantial beltway of Vienna. Running 13.1 km (8.1 mi) parallel to the famous Vienna Ring Road, it encompasses the inner city districts (Innenbezirke) and follows the route of the former Linienwall outer fortification. The city's red-light district is situated around the Gürtel.

The Museum of Contraception and Abortion (German: Museum für Verhütung und Schwangerschaftsabbruch, MUVS) is a museum in Vienna, Austria, founded by gynaecologist Christian Fiala in 2003. It details historic forms of birth control and was created to encourage contraceptive use and family planning techniques.

Burggasse-Stadthalle is a station on U6 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located in the Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus District. It opened in 1989.

The Raimund Theater is a theatre in the Mariahilf district of Vienna, Austria. Named after the Austrian dramatist Ferdinand Raimund, the theatre was built by an association of Viennese citizens and opened on 28 November 1893 with Raimund's play Die gefesselte Phantasie. It can seat around 1,200 people. The theater is currently owned by Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW) along with the Theater an der Wien and the Ronacher. Its current main use is for major musical productions.

Gumpendorfer Straße is a station on U6 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located in the Mariahilf District. It opened in 1989.

The Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna, Austria (German: Institut für Höhere Studien, Wien) is an independent research institute. It was founded in 1963 by Paul F. Lazarsfeld and Oskar Morgenstern, with the help of the Ford Foundation, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, and the City of Vienna. It specialises in social sciences. Its official journal, Empirical Economics, is published by Springer Science+Business Media.

Wiener Stadthalle (German: [ˈviːnɐ ˈʃtathalə]; English: Viennese City Hall) is a multi-purpose indoor arena and convention center located in the 15th district of Vienna, Austria. Austrian architect Roland Rainer designed the original halls which were constructed between 1953 and 1958, and later expanded in 1974, 1994 and 2006. The main hall, a multi-purpose venue, is Austria's largest indoor arena with a seating capacity of approximately 16,152 people. Since 2006, the complex has housed six main venues (each of which can be used separately or combined) consisting of two gymnasiums, an indoor ice rink, large-capacity indoor arena, a small multi-purpose hall, an auditorium with a show stage and an adjacent swimming pool. It serves as a venue for a variety of events, including concerts, exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences, lectures, theatre, TV and sports. The Wiener Stadthalle is a subsidiary of Wien Holding and stages more than 350 events each year that attract around one million visitors. Halls A, B and C, as well as the Stadthallenbad, are managed by the Viennese sports venues corporation GmbH.

Schweglerstraße is a station on U3 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located in the Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus District. It opened in 1994.

Zieglergasse is a station on U3 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located in the Mariahilf District. It opened in 1993. In this station, the two platforms are not on the same level: the platform for trains bound for Simmering is above, and the platform for trains bound for Ottakring is below.
