North Delhi is an administrative district of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India. Alipur is the administrative headquarters of this district. North Delhi is bounded by the Yamuna River and the district of Central Delhi on the east and by the district of North West Delhi to the west. Administratively, the district is divided into three subdivisions, Model Town, Narela, and Alipur.

The Civil Lines is a residential area and one of the 3 subdivisions of the Central Delhi district of Delhi in India. It is one of the 12 zones under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. It was the hub of European-style hotels in the city until New Delhi came into being in 1911. The official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is also located at Raj Niwas Marg, Civil Lines.

Vidyajyoti College of Theology (literally, ‘Light of Knowledge’) is a private theological college run by the Jesuits located in Delhi, India. It was started in 1879 in Asansol, West Bengal, as a modest 'Saint Joseph’s Seminary'. From 1889 to 1971 it developed in the mountains of Kurseong, near Darjeeling, where it was renamed Saint Mary’s College. From 1972 onwards it has flourished in the neighbourhood of the University of Delhi. Vidyajyoti confers the Degrees of Bachelor of Theology (Th.B.), Master of Theology (Th.M.), and Doctor of Theology (Th.D.). It also admits students for certificate courses for one or two years and diploma courses for three years. Vidyajyoti is known for its efforts to develop a contextual method of doing theology. As integral part of its curriculum, each student is assigned to a concrete social context and initiated into socio-cultural analysis of the Indian situation. This enables the student to get a more competent and comprehensive grasp of the issues that affect the lives of ordinary Indians. Theological reflection is thus closely related to questions emerging from the context, thereby equipping each student to understand the Christian faith from within the Indian context and in dialogue with India’s many religions.

St. Xavier's School, Rohini is a private Catholic primary and secondary school located in Shahbad Daulatpur, Sector 26, Rohini, Delhi, India. Established in 1966 and managed by the Jesuits since 1990, the Christian-minority English medium school is coeducational and recognized by the Board of Education Delhi Administration and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), with science, commerce, and humanities streams.

St. Xavier’s Senior Secondary School is a private Catholic primary and secondary school located in Raj Niwas Marg in the Civil Lines area of North Delhi, in India. Founded by the Jesuits in 1960 as a residential school for boys only, the school has become a Christian minority neighbourhood co-educational school catering for students from preparatory to Grade 12. The school is recognised by the Directorate of Education, Delhi Administration, and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education for the All India Secondary School Examination and All India Senior School Certificate Examination.An affiliated school in nearby Rohini includes a junior school, vocational training institute, and a National Institute of Open Schooling (afternoon tutorial). This school occupied its new site on 1 May 1998 and has enjoyed the administrative assistance of the Congregation of Jesus (CJ) sisters since 2006.

Raj Niwas (translation: Government House) is the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, the head of state of Delhi and government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. It is located on Raj Niwas Marg, Civil Lines, Delhi. The present lieutenant governor of Delhi is Anil Baijal, since December 31, 2016.

The Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) is an Indian research institute for the social sciences and humanities. It was founded in 1963 by Rajni Kothari and is largely funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research Govt of India. It is located in New Delhi, close to Delhi University.

Gwalior House is the former residence of the Maharaja of Gwalior in Delhi. Located at Rajpur Road in Civil Lines, Delhi, Gwalior House was one of the six princely houses in Civil Lines including Jamnagar, Kolhapur, Nabha, Sirohi and Udaipur. Maharaja Jivajirao Scindia of Gwalior stayed at 37 Rajpur Road, along with his mother. The house was later involved in an inheritance feud within the princely family. It is of modest size and can therefore not be considered a palace. Old Delhi had only three: Dujana House, Loharu House and (old) Pataudi House. The princely palaces were influenced by French, Italian, Indo-Venetian Gothic, Saracenic, Rajput and Islamic styles of architecture. Since Gwalior was a 21-gun salute princely state, a large plot was set aside next to the Kingsway, today Rajpath, for a palace to be constructed next to the Baroda House and Patiala House (at 28.6166°N 77.2326°E / 28.6166; 77.2326). However the princely family refused to be aligned in this city planning scheme by the British. The plot stood empty and was temporary used as the Prince's Park Mess.

Sirohi House is the former residence of the Maharao of Sirohi in Delhi. The house is located close to Civil Lines, Delhi. The house is run today as a traveller inn and hotel.

Qudsia Bagh (English: Qudsia Garden) is an 18th-century garden complex and palace located in Old Delhi, India.

On 30 March 2022, the official residence of Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi, was attacked by members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia called the incident a conspiracy to murder Kejriwal. Tejasvi Surya, the national president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM; the youth wing of the BJP) and a member of the Lok Sabha, had led a protest against Arvind Kejriwal with around 200 BJYM members. Several protesters were seen in CCTV footage breaking barriers in front of Kejriwal's residence and daubing red paint on the main gate. According to Delhi Police officials, the attackers also damaged a CCTV camera. Kejriwal's party, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), stated that he was not in the house at the time of the attack, but members of his family were present. Saurabh Bhardwaj, an AAP member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking the formation of a special investigation team to carry out a "fair and time-bound investigation" into the incident. The petition asserted that the attack and vandalization appeared to have been carried out with the "tacit complicity" of Delhi police, and asked the court to issue directions to the Delhi Police and the Union Ministry of Home Affairs for ensuring the security of the chief minister and his residence. The court noted that the security was inadequate to control the crowd, and sought a status report of the police investigation into the incident within two weeks' time.Delhi Police arrested eight members of BJYM in connection with the incident. A local court remanded all the arrested men into judicial custody. According to the police, all the 20 accused identified were BJYM members.

Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial, also known as Dr Ambedkar's Parinirvan Sthal, is a memorial in India's national capital New Delhi, dedicated to anti-caste activist and political leader B. R. Ambedkar. The site is the location of 26 Alipur Road, a now-demolished bungalow where Ambedkar lived from 1951 until his death in 1956. The Government of India acquired the site in 2003, and built a makeshift memorial at the site. The present-day memorial, which includes a museum with several exhibits, was built during 2016-2018.
