The Campbell County Courthouse in Fairburn, Georgia, also known as the Old Campbell County Courthouse, is a Greek Revival brick building that was built in 1871. It was the courthouse for the defunct Campbell County, Georgia, until it merged into Fulton County in 1932.It is significant in part for being a very late example of 19th-century high classical style in Georgia, as it was built just six years after the American Civil War. During that period there was little construction at all, and continuing construction followed eclectic styles rather than the "purely classical forms" executed in this courthouse's design.: 4–5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The school opened in the fall of 1990 as a result of the merger of Campbell High School in Fairburn, and Palmetto High School in Palmetto. The merger happened as a result of a consolidation plan to reduce the costs of the school system, comply with new state laws mandating minimum attendance numbers for government-funded schools, and upgrade the course offerings of all schools in the county.

Union Station was a shopping mall in Union City, Georgia, in southwest Metro Atlanta adjacent to Interstate 85. Originally "Shannon Mall", it opened in 1980 and initially thrived until the 1990s when growth in neighboring cities drew shoppers away from the mall. After new ownership and renovations in 2006, the name was changed from "Shannon Mall" to "Union Station Mall" in 2006. After many years of decline, the mall closed in November 2010, and demolition began in late October 2014 to make way for a movie studio.

Feldwood High School was a public high school in unincorporated Fulton County, Georgia, United States. It was a part of the Fulton County School System. The school opened in the fall of 1976 as a result of growth and split class sessions at M.D. Collins High School. In recognition of the bicentennial year, the colors selected for the school were red, white, and blue. In 1988 the school closed and combined again with M.D. Collins High School to form Banneker High School (Georgia) on the Feldwood campus. The merger happened as a result of a consolidation plan to reduce the costs of the school system, comply with new state laws mandating minimum attendance numbers for government funded schools, and upgrade course offerings within all schools in the county. In addition to serving some unincorporated areas, it also served sections of the city of College Park.

Banneker High School (also known as Benjamin Banneker High School) is a public high school in unincorporated Fulton County, Georgia, United States, with a College Park, Georgia postal address. It is part of the Fulton County School System and named for Benjamin Banneker, a free African-American almanac author, surveyor, landowner and farmer.

Langston Hughes High School (LHHS) is a public secondary school located in Fairburn, Georgia, United States, a suburb of metropolitan Atlanta. LHHS is in South Fulton County adjacent to Renaissance Elementary and Renaissance Middle School.

Sandy Creek High School (SCHS) is a public high school in Tyrone, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Fayette County School System. Sandy Creek serves Tyrone, northern Fayetteville, and northern portions of Peachtree City. It opened in 1991 with approximately 400 students in order to relieve overcrowding at Fayette County High School and McIntosh High School. During 2021, the school had 1,207 students enrolled in grades 9–12 and was accredited by the Southern Association of High Schools and Colleges.

WHTA (107.9 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Hampton, Georgia. The station is owned by Urban One, and serves the Metro Atlanta area with a mainstream urban radio format. WHTA's studios and offices are located inside the Centennial Tower building in downtown Atlanta, and its transmitter is off Swanson Road in Tyrone, Georgia, about 30 miles south southwest of Atlanta.
