Portland Meadows

Portland Speedway was a half-mile race track for auto racing in Portland, Oregon, U.S. It was in existence from 1924 until 2001.

Delta Park is a public municipal park complex in north Portland in the U.S. state of Oregon. It straddles Interstate 5, between the Columbia Slough on the south and the Columbia River on the north. The section east of the Interstate is known as East Delta Park, and to the west is West Delta Park, also colloquially known as "Raccoon City". The latter area was formerly known as the city of Vanport, created during World War II to house shipbuilders and destroyed by a flood in 1948.The Owens Sports Complex, a large part of East Delta Park, includes seven softball fields, nine soccer fields, and a concessions building. The complex is named for William V. Owens, a former park superintendent who developed and managed the city's softball program. East Delta Park also has a dog off-leash area, a football field, paved paths, picnic tables, a playground, and a volleyball court. The Portland Parks & Recreation Department operates the 85.34-acre (34.54 ha) park, which is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.The Urban Forestry Division of the Portland Parks Department maintains a street-tree arboretum in East Delta Park. The trees are the varieties the division recommends for planting in public rights-of-way between curbs and sidewalks. Headquartered in the park, the division uses the arboretum to teach tree identification to members of Friends of Trees and similar community organizations.Portland International Raceway, for car, motorcycle and bicycle racing, is part of West Delta Park. Sharing the park with the raceway are the Heron Lakes Golf Course, a dog off-leash area, and natural areas. Force Lake at 45°36′17″N 122°41′37″W in the northwest corner of the golf course attracts many species of birds. Signs around the lake describe the wildlife and explain the history of Vanport.

Bridgeton is a compact neighborhood of detached houses, rowhouses, apartment and condominium complexes, and houseboats in the north and northeast sections of Portland, Oregon. It occupies a narrow strip of land around a levee between the Columbia River (North Portland Harbor) and Bridgeton Slough.In 1907, a one-room schoolhouse, the Columbia School, was constructed in the area. Between 1915 and 1930, housing was developed in the area, which was the terminus of the Vancouver Interurban streetcar line. The Faloma post office served the area from August 13, 1921, to June 15, 1935; the USGS still uses this name for the place. Local citizens chose this from the initials of three local landowners (Force, Love and Moore) after the United States Postal Service rejected Bridgeton as too common.The Bridgeton Neighborhood Association was formed in March 1992 to deal with crime and traffic issues, and shortly thereafter was instrumental in defeating a rezoning request for a superstore to be constructed nearby.

Farragut Park is a public park in the Piedmont neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. It is bordered by North Kerby Avenue, Farragut Street, and the railway line. The 14-acre park contains a playground, a baseball diamond, basketball courts, a water playground, accessible restrooms, and picnic tables.Acquired in 1940, the park, like the adjacent street, was named after David Farragut, a naval officer in the American Civil War.

The David Cole House is a house located in Portland, Oregon, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house includes several stained glass windows made by Portland's Povey Brothers Studio. It is in the Kenton neighborhood of North Portland, and operates as an events venues called the Victorian Belle.

Delta Park/Vanport is a light rail station on the MAX Yellow Line in Portland, Oregon. It is the 9th stop northbound on the Interstate MAX extension and is in the area of Delta Park, formerly the site of the city of Vanport. It is located between Portland International Raceway on the west and Interstate 5 on the east and is at the north end of the Vanport Bridge, which spans the Columbia Slough and an industrial area. The station platforms are to the sides of the tracks. Beyond them are two park and ride lots to the west and bus bays connected to an I-5 off-ramp to the east. As of 2018, one C-Tran bus route and one TriMet bus route serve this station. Artwork at the station references the 1948 Vanport Flood, even utilizing bronzed artifacts found on the construction site.

Eagle Portland is a gay bar catering to bears and leather enthusiasts, located in north Portland, Oregon, United States.

Trinity Academy is a private classical Christian middle and high school located in north central Portland, Oregon The school was founded by Roman Catholic and Protestant Christians, though non-Christian students are welcome. Trinity Schools licenses the Trinity School Curriculum to Trinity Academy.

Kenton/North Denver Avenue is a light rail station on the MAX Yellow Line in Portland, Oregon. It is the 8th stop northbound on the Interstate Avenue MAX extension. The station is located on the shoulder of Interstate Avenue near the intersection with North Argyle and Denver Streets. The station is a side platform configuration. The artwork at this station reflects the historic Kenton neighborhood which it serves. Themes include the area's historic stockyards. A large Paul Bunyan Statue, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located across the street from the station. This station is the final stop on Interstate Avenue before the Yellow Line continues to the Expo Center on the Vanport Bridge, passing over Union Pacific railroad tracks, Columbia Boulevard, and the Columbia Slough.

The Thomas M. and Alla M. Paterson House is a house located at 7807 North Denver Avenue in Portland, Oregon. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 5, 1998.

Paul Bunyan Statue is a 31-foot-tall (9.4 m) concrete and metal sculpture of mythical logger Paul Bunyan in the Kenton neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, United States. It was built in 1959 to commemorate the centennial of Oregon's statehood during the Centennial Exposition and International Trade Fair, which was held in the Kenton area.

The Kenton Library is a branch of the Multnomah County Library (MCL), in the Kenton neighborhood of Portland in the U.S. state of Oregon. Preceded by reading rooms in North Portland and later by the Lombard Branch Library, the Kenton Library opened in 2010 in a storefront on North Denver Avenue. The branch offers the MCL catalog of two million books, periodicals and other materials.
