Kultaranta (Swedish: Gullranda; lit. 'Golden Shore') is the summer residence of the president of Finland. It is in the district of Kultaranta on the island of Luonnonmaa, in Naantali. The granite manor house is surrounded by 560,000 square metres (6,027,790 sq ft) of park, belonging to the property. The President of the Republic's summer residence, Kultaranta, stands in 54-hectare grounds in Naantali on the southwest coast. As well as the granite-built house, the complex includes numerous outbuildings and greenhouses, and a park. Kultaranta's original owner was the businessman Alfred Kordelin, who had a manor house built for himself in 1914. It was designed by the architect Lars Sonck. When Kordelin died in 1917 the manor's ownership shifted to the University of Turku and, in 1922, the Finnish Parliament voted to acquire it for use as the president's summer residence. The ground floor contains the reception rooms and private apartments. Upstairs are the bedrooms and guestrooms. Marble steps lead from the ground floor to the tower, from which there are views of Naantali and the inshore islands. The parks around the manor, containing approximately a thousand square metres of greenhouse and a garden with 3,500 roses called Medaljonki ('medallion'), are open to the public. The scent and colour of these roses are at their peak in the middle of the summer, when the President and family and their guests come to Naantali for the holidays. Tours in the garden are organised by the City of Naantali's tourist service. Kultaranta's Park has been described as a "mini-Versailles". The parkland to the north of Kultaranta is in practically a natural state, though a few sandy pathways have been built there, and the woodland is kept in good condition.Kultaranta has about 1,000 square metres (10,764 sq ft) of greenhouses. The garden supplies the President's household with both flowers and vegetables all year round.

Nådendal Abbey (Swedish: Nådendals kloster), was a Bridgettine abbey in then-Swedish Finland, in operation from 1438 to 1591. The abbey was first situated in Masku, secondly in Perniö (1441) and finally in Naantali in 1443. It was one of six monasteries in Finland during the Middle Ages, and, as a double monastery, the only one which accepted women.

Naantali (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈnɑːntɑli]; Swedish: Nådendal) is a town in Southwest Finland, and, as a resort town during the summer, an important centre of tourism in the country. The municipality has a population of 19,993 (31 December 2023), and is located 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) west of Turku. The town has a land area of 312.58 square kilometres (120.69 sq mi). Most of this area is located on the islands, but the majority of the population lives on the mainland. Most of the islands are covered with forest and farmland, while the mainland consists chiefly of residential areas.

The Port of Naantali (Finnish: Naantalin satama, Swedish: Nådendal hamn) is a port located in the south-west of Finland, city of Naantali, where the mainland meets the beginning of the Turku archipelago. The port is among the largest in Finland in terms of passenger and cargo volume. The Port of Naantali's main volumes deriving from the liquid and dry bulk materials and ferry goods. The port consists of three parts: Main Harbour (Finnish: Kantasatama), Luonnonmaa Harbour (which is located next to the Turku Repair Yard) and the Oil Harbour for Neste's Naantali refinery; all of which are managed by the Port of Naantali. At present, the port has both freight and passenger traffic and the connection from Naantali to Kapellskär in Sweden is operated by Finnlines. The main entrance channel Naantalin väylä is 120 kilometres long and starts southern of Utö. Since 2009 it is cleared for vessels with drafts up to 15.3 m (50 ft), after it got extended from 13 metres which had been in effect since 1986.

Perno shipyard is a shipyard in Turku, southwest Finland, that specialises in building cruise ships, passenger ferries, special vessels and offshore projects. The yard area is 144 hectares (360 acres). The yard is operated by Meyer Turku Oy. The dry dock is 365 metres (1,198 ft) long, 80 metres (260 ft) wide and 10 metres (33 ft) deep, and equipped with two bridge cranes with capacities of 600 tonnes and 1,200 tonnes. The newer bridge crane with a capacity of 1,200 tonnes is the largest in the Nordic region.

Kankainen Manor (Finnish: Kankaisten kartano, Swedish: Kankas gård) is a late medieval manor in Masku, Finland, located along a small river about one kilometre south of Masku town centre. Kankainen Manor is considered to be the oldest surviving residential building in Finland, as its oldest parts may be from the end of the 15th century. In 2009, the Finnish Heritage Agency defined it as one of Finland's nationally significant built cultural environments.

The Raisio railway station (Finnish: Raision rautatieasema, Swedish: Reso järnvägsstation) is a station located in the town of Raisio, Finland. It is located along the Turku–Uusikaupunki railway, and only serves freight transport; the nearest station with passenger services is Turku in the southwest.The Finnish Heritage Agency has proclaimed the Raisio station as a built cultural environment of national significance.

Masku (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈmɑsku]) is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Southwest Finland region. The municipality, which is located about 17 kilometres (11 mi) just north of Turku, has a population of 9,616 (31 December 2023) and covers an area of 204.01 square kilometres (78.77 sq mi) of which 29.21 km2 (11.28 sq mi) is water. The population density is 54.98 inhabitants per square kilometre (142.4/sq mi). The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The municipality has also been known as "Masko" in Swedish. The Swedish name no longer has official status, and is considered outdated according to the Institute for the Languages of Finland.On January 1, 2009 the municipalities of Askainen and Lemu were consolidated with Masku.

Pansio is a district and a suburb of the city of Turku, Finland. It is located in the western part of the city. It has a population of 2,809 (as of 2006), and an annual population growth of -3.83%. 19.25% of the district's population are under 15 years old, while 11.85% are over 65. The district's linguistic makeup is 87.82% Finnish, 1.55% Swedish, and 10.93% other. Pansio has a problem with unemployment, with an unemployment rate of 14.2% - the sixth highest of all districts in Turku. A good part of the district is industrial area, and parts of the Port of Turku are located there. Pansio also hosts a naval base of the Finnish Navy, Archipelago Sea Naval Command.

Perno is a district in the Naantalintie ward of the city of Turku, in Finland. It is located to the west of the city, and is mainly a high-density residential suburb. There is also a large maritime dock (Meyer Turku) located there. The current (as of 2004) population of Perno is 2,513, and it is increasing at an annual rate of 0.28%. 17.83% of the district's population are under 15 years old, while 9.39% are over 65. The district's linguistic makeup is 90.81% Finnish, 2.39% Swedish, and 6.80% other.

Raisio (Finnish: [ˈrɑi̯sio]; Swedish: Reso) is a town and municipality in south-western Finland and an important junction of major roads. The town has a population of 24,818 (31 December 2021) and is located in the region of Southwest Finland, neighbouring the region's capital, Turku. The town's land area is 48.76 km2 (18.83 sq mi), and has about 5 kilometres (3 mi) of coastline to the Bay of Raisio on its southern tip.

Ruissalo (Finnish: [ˈrui̯ˌsːɑlo]; Swedish: Runsala) is an island in the Archipelago Sea and a district of the city of Turku, Finland. The island is located to the south-west of the city, between Hirvensalo and Pansio in the mainland. It is rather sparsely populated, having a population of only 126 (as of 2004), with an annual growth rate of 3.97%. The villas on the island are considered culturally and historically valuable in Finland. Some are used as guesthouses; some are owned and run by foundations, labor unions, sports teams, and private enterprises in the area; some can be rented freely for days for private parties such as weddings; some have cafeterias in them. Private ownership exists – a couple villas even have renters with very selective occupancy. Some villas have deteriorated because of the high maintenance costs due to the historical building methods that must be used here. One of the largest old oak forests in Finland is situated on the island and many parts of it are included in nature conservation programs. In the westernmost part of the island there is a spa and a camping area. Turku golf course is also situated here. The botanical garden of the University of Turku is situated in the middle of the island. Near the southern tip of the western part of the island was once a small, unofficial nude beach. Official nude beaches in Finland can only be found in Helsinki and in Pori. 15.08% of the district's population are under 15 years old, while 13.49% are over 65. The district's linguistic makeup is 88.89% Finnish, 8.73% Swedish, and 2.38% other. The island hosts the annual rock festival Ruisrock. The Paavo Nurmi Marathon route goes through Ruissalo.
