St. Peter-Molinis railway station

Molinis is a former municipality in the district of Plessur in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. On 1 January 2013 the former municipalities of Molinis, Calfreisen, Castiel, Langwies, Lüen, Peist and St. Peter-Pagig merged into the municipality of Arosa.

Pagig is a village in the district of Plessur in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. An independent municipality before, it merged on January 1, 2008 with neighboring St. Peter to form the municipality of St. Peter-Pagig.

St. Peter-Pagig is a former municipality in the district of Plessur in the Grisons, Switzerland. It was formed on 1 January 2008 through the merger of St. Peter and Pagig. On 1 January 2013 the former municipalities of St. Peter-Pagig, Calfreisen, Castiel, Langwies, Lüen, Molinis and Peist merged into the municipality of Arosa.

St. Peter (Romansh: Son Peder) is a village in the district of Plessur in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. An independent municipality before, it merged on 1 January 2008 with neighboring Pagig to form the municipality of St. Peter-Pagig.

Lüen is a former municipality in the district of Plessur in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. On 1 January 2013 the former municipalities of Lüen, Calfreisen, Castiel, Langwies, Molinis, Peist and St. Peter-Pagig merged into the municipality of Arosa.

Lüen-Castiel railway station is a railway station on the Chur–Arosa railway (the "Arosabahn") of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB). It is situated in Lüen and also serves nearby Castiel. A short distance to the west of the station, in the direction of Chur, is the Castielertobel Viaduct, which, after the Langwieser Viaduct and the Gründjitobel Viaduct, is the third-largest bridge on the Arosa line.

The Aroser Weisshorn is a mountain of the Plessur Alps, overlooking Arosa in the canton of Graubünden. A two-stage cable car links the top of the mountain with the town and resort of Arosa — the base station is near to Arosa railway station.

The Plessur Region is one of the eleven administrative districts in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It had an area of 285.30 square kilometers (110.15 sq mi) and a population of 42,822 (as of 31 December 2020). It was created on 1 January 2017 as part of a reorganization of the Canton.

The Tschuggen is a mountain of the Plessur Alps, overlooking Arosa in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. A gondola lift and a chairlift link the top of the mountain with the town and resort of Arosa — the base station of the chairlift is near to Arosa railway station. Near the summit are located an observatory and a mountain hut.

Plessur District (German: Bezirk Plessur, Romansh: ) is a former administrative district in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It had an area of 266.73 km2 (102.99 sq mi) and has a population of 40,707 in 2015. The former district is named after the river Plessur which crosses it. However, the region along the Plessur –and therefore the whole valley–is called Schanfigg. It was replaced with the Plessur Region on 1 January 2017 as part of a reorganization of the Canton.Plessur District consisted of three Kreise (sub-districts) Chur, Churwalden and Schanfigg, which are formed from a total of twelve municipalities:

The Hochwang is a mountain of the Plessur Alps, located between the valleys of Schanfigg and Prättigau in the canton of Graubünden. With a height of 2,534 metres above sea level, it is the highest summit of the chain lying west of Durannapass. Several trails lead to its summit. The closest locality is Castiel.

Arosa railway station is a railway station on the Chur–Arosa railway (the "Arosabahn") of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB). It is situated in the town and resort of Arosa, close by to the Obersee (one of the lakes in the vicinity). The station is the upper terminus of the line and has a number of passenger facilities including a ticket office, shop, and cafe. A 299m long tunnel takes the line under part of Arosa as it ascends to the station. There is a large yard of freight/rolling stock sidings just beyond the station at the very end of the line, as well as a 2-road locomotive shed (essentially for shunters) at the lower end.
