Korsvägen station is an railway station currently under construction in Gothenburg, Sweden. Designed to serve both commuter trains and regional trains as part of the West Link project, the station is named after the Korsvägen intersection, which has been a key tram stop since the 1880s and has served as a hub for trams heading in five directions since the early 2000s. Korsvägen station is expected to open in 2030, alongside Haga station following the completion of the entire West Link tunnel to Centralen station.

Johanneberg Science Park was established in December 2009 by the Chalmers University of Technology Foundation and the City of Gothenburg to create better conditions for regional sustainable growth, based on the activities currently conducted within Chalmers University of Technology at Campus Johanneberg in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Science Park primarily support development of activities within the disciplines of Urban Development, Environment, Energy, Materials and Nanoscience.

Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship, CSE, is an educational platform encompassing a Master’s Program and a pre-incubator. The Master's Program started 1997 and is a collaboration between Chalmers University of Technology and University of Gothenburg and has graduated over 200 students and the pre-incubator has helped create 27 technology companies.

The Gothenburg University Library (Swedish: Göteborgs universitetsbibliotek) consists of ten separate libraries in Gothenburg, Sweden, including Learning Resource Centres. With 1.6 million visits per year, the library is one of the most frequented research libraries in Sweden. It is a meeting place for students, teachers and researchers at the University of Gothenburg as well as the public. The library is also a cultural institution for the people of Gothenburg. The library houses the KvinnSam – National resource library for gender studies.

KvinnSam - National Resource Library for Gender Studies, formerly the Women's History Collections, is the Swedish National Resource Library for Gender Studies. The collections belong to Gothenburg University Library.

Landala is a district in central Gothenburg, Sweden with about 4,500 inhabitants (2005). Originally a traditional labour district with a large poorhouse, today Landala is home to some important educational institutes in Western Sweden, such as Chalmers University of Technology, Hvitfeldtska gymnasiet and Vasa Komvux. Also LGA has its origin in Landala. Landala is also famous for its housing projects and social engineering in the 1960s. Almost the whole area was demolished (a church was moved some 100 metres (110 yd) and concrete apartment blocks were built instead. However, some single houses from the 19th century were spared.

Gothenburg Museum of Art (Swedish: Göteborgs konstmuseum) is located at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg, Sweden. It claims to be the third largest art museum in Sweden by size of its collection.

The National Museum of World Culture (Swedish: Världskulturmuseet) opened in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2004. It is a part of the public authority Swedish National Museums of World Cultures and builds on the collections of the former Göteborgs Etnografiska Museum that closed down in the year 2000. Its aim is to interpret the subject of world culture in an interdisciplinary way. The museum is situated next to the Universeum science centre and the amusement park Liseberg, and close to Korsvägen. "The museum interprets the concept of world culture in a dynamic and open-ended manner. On the one hand, various cultures are incorporating impulses from each other and becoming more alike. On the other hand, local, national, ethnic and gender differences are shaping much of that process. World culture is not only about communication, reciprocity, and interdependence, but the specificity, concretion and uniqueness of each and every individual." Gothenburg Concert Hall is a concert hall located in Gothenburg, Sweden, which was built in 1935. The architect for the facility was Nils Einar Ericsson, a major advocate of Functionalism. However, the Concert Hall has a Neo-Classical exterior look, due to the surrounding area at Götaplatsen where the building is placed – the Art Museum and the City Theatre are solid classically designed buildings as well, and were built before the Concert Hall. In contrast to the exterior, the Concert Hall's interior is modernistic. The main auditorium’s plain shaped walls are clad in yellowish-red maple veneer and there are 1,300 seats. There is also a smaller concert hall, Stenhammarsalen, for chamber concerts. The acoustic qualities of Gothenburg Concert Hall have given it a reputation well outside the Swedish borders; Deutsche Grammophon has used the Concert Hall as a studio for a number of records, for example. A number of progressive rock bands (among others Yes and Roxy Music) have also performed at the Gothenburg Concert Hall. The Concert Hall is the home stage of the Gothenburg Symphony.

The International School of the Gothenburg Region (ISGR AB) is an international school in Gothenburg, Sweden fully owned and founded by GR, the Gothenburg Region Association of Local Authorities. Partly private and partly public, the school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the Swedish National Programme for grades K-10. The school has been an IB World School since August 2000, and CIS-accredited as of March 2008.The school consists of two campuses. The South Campus for grades 0-5 is located at Guldhedsgatan while the North Campus for grades 6-10 is located on Molinsgatan, in metropolitan Gothenburg. Both campuses are connected to the transport System of Gothenburg; the North Campus is located at the tram stop "Kapellplatsen" while the South Campus is located at "Wavrinskys Plats", which is only two stops away from the other campus. The gym is located on the South Campus. The Head of school is Birgitta Sandström Barac and the principal is currently Graham Miselbach. The deputy principal for the Gotaberg campus is Corinna Ljungberg and the deputy principal for the Guldheden campus is Marilyn James. Former Head of the school was Tage Gumaelius. Currently, 90 teachers work at ISGR and teach over 1000 students who are from 65 different countries.
