The church stands in an isolated position to the west of the village.

It is situated 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Downham Market, 16 miles (26 km) south of King's Lynn and 40 miles (64 km) west of Norwich. Also 1.5 miles (2.4 km) North of the larger village of Stoke Ferry.

Barton Bendish is a civil parish and small village in the English county of Norfolk 10 miles (16 km) south of King's Lynn and 90 miles (140 km) northeast of London. It has two medieval parish churches, and once had three. The parish includes the hamlet of Eastmoor, and covers 3,936 acres (1,593 ha). The village has been settled since Neolithic times and was expanded during the Saxon period. It had a population of 210 in the 2010 census and contains eight listed buildings, with the two medieval parishes churches being Grade I.

Wretton SSSI is a 20.6-hectare (51-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-east of Downham Market in Norfolk. It is a Geological Conservation Review site. This site exposes layer across the transition between the warm Ipswichian and the colder Devensian around 115,000 years ago. It has the richest assemblage of early Devensian vertebrate fossils in Britain, including arctic fox, bison and woolly rhinoceros. A footpath runs along the boundary of part of the site.

Shouldham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 16.04 km2 (6.19 sq mi) and had a population of 608 in 246 households at the 2001 census, the population reducing slightly to 605 at the 2011 census. It also contains a church (pictured) and a primary school (St Martins at Shouldham). The villages name means 'homestead/village with an obligation'. Shouldham is a parish of the Kings Lynn and West Norfolk district council, which is responsible for the most local services. Stoke Ferry is a closed railway station in Norfolk. It was the terminus of a 7+1⁄4-mile (11.7 km) branch line from Denver which opened on 1 August 1882 and finally closed to all traffic in 1965.

For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. All Saints' Church, a Grade II listed building, was rebuilt by William Donthorn. It is no longer used for church services and was owned by Kit Hesketh-Harvey until his death in 2023. The village has many small businesses such as two takeaway shops, a hairdresser, wood yard, DIY hardware shop & metalworks workshop, funeral directors, and a corner shop. There is also a thriving community-owned pub, The Blue Bell Pub-Cafe which was bought by the local community on 30 June 2021 and, after extensive refurbishment reopened on 4 June 2022. Stoke Ferry Hall is a Grade II* listed building.
