Lipschitzallee is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the . This station was opened in 1970 (architect Rümmler) and was planned to be named Heroldweg. However it was named Lipschitzallee (after the SPD politician Lipschitz). The next station is Wutzykallee.

Johannisthaler Chaussee is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the . It was opened in 1970 by its architect Rainer G. Rümmler, and got the addition "Gropiusstadt" in 1972. The station is located in the district of Gropiusstadt, from which the station also got its nickname. In the station list of the BVG this station carries the abbreviation 'Jt'. When the shopping mall "Gropius Passagen" was opened, the station was refurbished and got a direct entrance to the shopping mall. The station was designed by Rainer G. Rümmler. The station has a central platform with a central staircase leading to the Gropius Passagen shopping center and an exit on the northern platform that leads to a vestibule. The original entrance halls, as they existed in 1970, no longer exist. The walls are covered in gray tiles, interrupted by a horizontal white stripe on which the name of the station is written. The center columns are clad with metal sheets. The ceiling and platform itself are gray.The station is fully wheelchair accessible via an elevator.

Wutzkyallee is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the . Designed by R.G.Rümmler and opened in 1970 it should be named "Efeuweg"; however, it was opened with the current name. The next station is Zwickauer Damm.

Britz-Süd is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the . It was opened in 1963 and constructed by W.Düttmann. Characteristics are the grey tiles on the walls. Until 2003 this station only had a southern entrance. In 2003 the northern entrance was opened due to BVG safety policies. The station is only 3,5m below the street. The next station is Johannisthaler Chaussee.

The Teltow Canal, also known as the Teltowkanal in German, is a canal to the south of Berlin, the capital city of Germany. The canal lies in both the states of Berlin and Brandenburg, and at points forms the boundary between the two. It takes its name from the Brandeburgian region of Teltow and town of Teltow which lie on its course. The canal was constructed between 1900 and 1906, when it was opened by Wilhelm II.The canal is 37.83 kilometres (23.51 mi) in length and links the River Havel near the city of Potsdam with the River Dahme near Köpenick in Berlin's eastern suburbs. The Dahme provides a link to the Oder-Spree Canal, and hence to the River Oder and Poland. Whilst the Dahme is a tributary of the River Spree, itself a navigable tributary of the Havel, the Teltow Canal offers the advantage of bypassing the centre of Berlin, with its heavy river traffic.At its western end, the Teltow Canal incorporates the Griebnitzsee lake which links to the Havel in Potsdam. The Griebnitz Canal provides a second link to the Havel from the eastern end of the Griebnitzsee. Towards its eastern end, the Teltow Canal is linked to the Landwehr Canal by the Neukölln Ship Canal, while the Britz Canal connects the Teltow Canal with the Spree.There is only one lock on the canal, at Kleinmachnow. The canal is navigable by boats with a draught of up to 1.75 metres (5 ft 9 in) and with a maximum bridge clearance of 4.4 metres (14 ft).

Zwickauer Damm is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the . Finished in 1970 by R. G. Rümmler it was the end of the line U7 (until 1972 when Rudow station was opened). The next station is Rudow.

The Hufeisensiedlung ("Horseshoe Estate") is a housing estate in Berlin, built in 1925–33. It was designed by architect Bruno Taut, municipal planning head and co-architect Martin Wagner, garden architect Leberecht Migge and Neukölln gardens director Ottokar Wagler. In 1986 the ensemble was placed under German heritage protection. On 7 July 2008 it was inscribed as one of six estates that constitute the Berlin Modernism Housing Estates World Heritage Site.

Berlin Modernism Housing Estates (German: Siedlungen der Berliner Moderne) is a World Heritage Site designated in 2008, comprising six separate subsidized housing estates in Berlin. Dating mainly from the years of the Weimar Republic (1919–1933), when the city of Berlin was particularly progressive socially, politically and culturally, they are outstanding examples of the building reform movement that contributed to improving housing and living conditions for people with low incomes through innovative approaches to architecture and urban planning. The estates also provide exceptional examples of new urban and architectural typologies, featuring fresh design solutions, as well as technical and aesthetic innovations.Bruno Taut, Martin Wagner and Walter Gropius were among the leading architects of these projects which exercised considerable influence on the development of housing around the world.

Blaschkoallee is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U7. Opened in 1963 with the planned name "Buschkrug" (arch. W.Düttmann). The next station is Parchimer Allee.

The Späth (often spelt Spaeth) family created one of the world's most notable plant nurseries of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The nursery had been founded in 1720 by Christoph Späth but removed to the erstwhile district of Baumschulenweg (lit. 'nursery way'; now part of the Treptow-Köpenick district) in south-east Berlin in 1863 when Franz Ludwig Späth (1839 - 1913) succeeded his father Ludwig as manager when aged only 25. By the end of the 19th century, the nursery was the largest in the world, occupying 120 hectares. In 1874 Franz built a mansion on the site, now part of Humboldt University and, five years later, established an arboretum. After his death in Britz in 1913, Franz Späth was succeeded by his son, Hellmut, who revived the nursery's flagging fortunes during the Depression by joining the Nazi Party and securing lucrative landscaping contracts for the new autobahns and other public works. However, his outspoken criticism of the Nazi regime saw him incarcerated in Sachsenhausen concentration camp where he was executed in 1945. The nursery had closed the year before, and in 1947 the arboretum passed into public ownership becoming known as the Späthsches Arboretum.
