Parchimer Allee (Berlin U-Bahn)

The Hufeisensiedlung ("Horseshoe Estate") is a housing estate in Berlin, built in 1925–33. It was designed by architect Bruno Taut, municipal planning head and co-architect Martin Wagner, garden architect Leberecht Migge and Neukölln gardens director Ottokar Wagler. In 1986 the ensemble was placed under German heritage protection. On 7 July 2008 it was inscribed as one of six estates that constitute the Berlin Modernism Housing Estates World Heritage Site.

Berlin Modernism Housing Estates (German: Siedlungen der Berliner Moderne) is a World Heritage Site designated in 2008, comprising six separate subsidized housing estates in Berlin. Dating mainly from the years of the Weimar Republic (1919–1933), when the city of Berlin was particularly progressive socially, politically and culturally, they are outstanding examples of the building reform movement that contributed to improving housing and living conditions for people with low incomes through innovative approaches to architecture and urban planning. The estates also provide exceptional examples of new urban and architectural typologies, featuring fresh design solutions, as well as technical and aesthetic innovations.Bruno Taut, Martin Wagner and Walter Gropius were among the leading architects of these projects which exercised considerable influence on the development of housing around the world.

Britz-Süd is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the . It was opened in 1963 and constructed by W.Düttmann. Characteristics are the grey tiles on the walls. Until 2003 this station only had a southern entrance. In 2003 the northern entrance was opened due to BVG safety policies. The station is only 3,5m below the street. The next station is Johannisthaler Chaussee.

Blaschkoallee is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U7. Opened in 1963 with the planned name "Buschkrug" (arch. W.Düttmann). The next station is Parchimer Allee.

The Schloss Britz (Britz castle) is the former manor-house of the historical Rittergut (country estate) and village Britz, now a district of Berlin-Neukölln. Today it is the headquarters of the cultural organization Kulturstiftung Schloss Britz and includes authentic reconstructed rooms from around 1880. The house is a museum demonstrating interiors of the Gründerzeit era. The manorial park is also well preserved with its mature trees and its 1890s system of trails. In 1997 the park was honored with the German Gustav Meyer Prize for the accuracy and historic authenticity of the reconstruction. The old farmyard with stables and smithy and the workers' section, with a chimney of a brewery and some storehouses are preserved, too. The final phase of reconstruction will provide space and rooms for further cultural institutions of Berlin-Neukölln in the future.

Blub, short for Berliner Luft- und Badeparadies ("Berlin air- and bathing paradise"), was a water park in the Britz area of Neukölln district in Berlin, Germany. First opened in 1985, it was shut down in 2002 following health concerns, and the 3.5-hectare (8.6-acre) site fell into disrepair. In 2016, the buildings on the site were severely destroyed by fire. Demolition work began in 2020; the site will be developed into a dwelling complex with 638 apartments.The site is located at Buschkrugallee 64, 12359 Berlin, near the Teltow Canal.

Johannisthaler Chaussee is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the . It was opened in 1970 by its architect Rainer G. Rümmler, and got the addition "Gropiusstadt" in 1972. The station is located in the district of Gropiusstadt, from which the station also got its nickname. In the station list of the BVG this station carries the abbreviation 'Jt'. When the shopping mall "Gropius Passagen" was opened, the station was refurbished and got a direct entrance to the shopping mall. The station was designed by Rainer G. Rümmler. The station has a central platform with a central staircase leading to the Gropius Passagen shopping center and an exit on the northern platform that leads to a vestibule. The original entrance halls, as they existed in 1970, no longer exist. The walls are covered in gray tiles, interrupted by a horizontal white stripe on which the name of the station is written. The center columns are clad with metal sheets. The ceiling and platform itself are gray.The station is fully wheelchair accessible via an elevator.

Grenzallee is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U7.

Transmitter Berlin-Britz was a broadcasting facility for medium wave, shortwave and FM on the site of a former tree nursery in Berlin-Britz. It was established in 1946 and until 1993 it was the most important transmitter of RIAS. It was used by Deutschlandradio until 4 September 2013. The Berlin-Britz transmitter initially used a wire supported between two 30-metre (98 ft) tall wooden poles. This aerial was replaced in 1947 by a 60 m (197 ft) guyed insulated steel framework mast. This mast was replaced in turn in 1948 by two guyed insulated steel framework masts, each with a height of 100 m (328 ft) and which still exist today. These masts were extended in subsequent years so that today they are 160 m (525 ft) and 144 m (472 ft) tall and carry FM radio broadcasting antennas. Since 1949 the Berlin-Britz transmitter has also been a shortwave transmission facility. A dipole aerial aligned in east–west direction was installed. A second shortwave broadcasting aerial in the form of a dipole with whole length was built in 1983. A cross dipole aerial for the medium wave frequency 990 kHz was built in 1978 to provide better coverage to the former East Germany for RIAS’ first channel. This aerial for circular polarization radiated vertically in the ionosphere and permitted good reception of RIAS 1 in the entire former East Germany. This aerial was mounted on five guyed masts each with a height of 30.5 m (100 ft) and was shut down at the end of 1995.

The Teltow Canal, also known as the Teltowkanal in German, is a canal to the south of Berlin, the capital city of Germany. The canal lies in both the states of Berlin and Brandenburg, and at points forms the boundary between the two. It takes its name from the Brandeburgian region of Teltow and town of Teltow which lie on its course. The canal was constructed between 1900 and 1906, when it was opened by Wilhelm II.The canal is 37.83 kilometres (23.51 mi) in length and links the River Havel near the city of Potsdam with the River Dahme near Köpenick in Berlin's eastern suburbs. The Dahme provides a link to the Oder-Spree Canal, and hence to the River Oder and Poland. Whilst the Dahme is a tributary of the River Spree, itself a navigable tributary of the Havel, the Teltow Canal offers the advantage of bypassing the centre of Berlin, with its heavy river traffic.At its western end, the Teltow Canal incorporates the Griebnitzsee lake which links to the Havel in Potsdam. The Griebnitz Canal provides a second link to the Havel from the eastern end of the Griebnitzsee. Towards its eastern end, the Teltow Canal is linked to the Landwehr Canal by the Neukölln Ship Canal, while the Britz Canal connects the Teltow Canal with the Spree.There is only one lock on the canal, at Kleinmachnow. The canal is navigable by boats with a draught of up to 1.75 metres (5 ft 9 in) and with a maximum bridge clearance of 4.4 metres (14 ft).
