Padmabhushan Vasantdada Patil Pratishthan's College of Engineering (PVPP COE) is an engineering college in Mumbai, India, established in 1991. The college is a tribute to the late Shri Vasantdada Patil, the Sahakar Maharshi and former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. It is registered under Societies’ Registration Act, 1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. Former deputy Prime Minister Yeshwantrao Chavan laid the foundation of the college.Established in 1991, the college is spread over a total area of 300,000 sq ft (28,000 m2). It is located in the centre of Mumbai, on the Eastern Express Highway at Sion. It is approved by the Government of Maharashtra, University of Mumbai, and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to conduct degree courses in electronics and telecommunications, computer engineering, and information technology engineering.

The Sion Hillock Fort is a fort in Mumbai (Bombay), India. It was built under the regime of the English East India Company, between 1669 and 1677, atop a conical hillock when Gerard Aungier was the Governor of Bombay. It was notified in 1925 as a Grade I Heritage structure. When it was built, the fort marked the boundary between British-held Parel island and the Portuguese held Salsette Island that lay to the north across the creek.The hillock is situated 500 metres from the Sion railway station. At the base of the hill is the Mumbai Circle office of the Archaeological Survey of India, and a garden – the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Udyan. Nearby forts include the Riwa Fort and Sewri Fort. The fort is dilapidated and a collection of broken stone steps, scattered walls and ruins, overrun by trees and ground cover. The fort wall has a small room on top. A series of pathways lead to it. The fort offers a panoramic view, overlooking the salt pans in the Thane Creek. However vandalism and apathy have taken their toll on the structure. Restoration of the fort had begun in 2009 but was stopped mid-way due to paucity of funds.

Chunabhatti (Chuna - lime, bhatti - kiln) is home to the first cotton mill in Mumbai, Swadeshi Mills, which was registered in 1886 by Jamsetji Tata. There were numerous lime kiln in Chunabhatti. Parshuram Soma Gaikar was one of the lime kiln owners. Lime was used for construction and in cotton mills. Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ground ( near to chunabhatti railway station ) & Muktadevi Manoranjan Udyan ( near hill road , opposite of Veravali building ). One more ground is located near to railway station also known as small somaiya ground. One Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Palika Garden located exactly opposite to Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ground which is good for kids and older people especially. Maasaheb Minatai Thakre Maternity Hospital ( Govt. Hospital ) is located on VN Purav Marg ( Main road ). Also some private hospitals are available in chunabhatti ( Dalvi Nursing Home , Santrupti Hospital , Prathamesh Hospital ) One BMC school is there in chunabhatti ( Chunabhatti Municipal Primary / Secondary High School. Also private schools are there ( L.K.High School , Vidyavikas High School , Kedarnath High School )

Wadala Depot is a monorail station at which thee Monorail Car Depot is located of the Mumbai Monorail located at Pratiksha Nagar in the Sion suburb of Mumbai, India. It was opened to the public on 2 February 2014, as part of the first phase of Line 1. Wadala Depot is located near the Chunabhatti-Kurla junction of the Eastern Express Highway.

Ayurved College Sion (also known as Sion Ayurved) is an ayurvedic educational institute run by Ayurvidya Prasarak Mandal, situated beside Sion railway station in Mumbai. The college was founded in 1954. Among the former students is Madhav Sane, founder of ayurvedic clinic chain Madhavbaug Clinics . Each year the college organizes an annual event called Sheevmanthan.

Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel & Shrine of St. Anthony former Our Lady of Good Counsel Church initially known by its name in Portuguese, Nossa Senhora de Bom Concelho, is one of the oldest churches in, Bombay built by the Portuguese Franciscans. It was built at Sion and was initially affiliated to the St. Michael's Church at Mahim in 1596. The artistically done stained glass windows of the Church portray the martyrdom of Blessed Thomas of Tolentino, Fr. James of Padua, Fr. Peter of Siena, a Cleric and Br. Demetrius of Tiflis at Thane, in April 1321.
