Long Wharf is a historic pier in Boston, Massachusetts, built between 1710 and 1721. It once extended from State Street nearly a half-mile into Boston Harbor; today, the much-shortened wharf (due to land fill on the city end) functions as a dock for passenger ferries and sightseeing boats.

The Gardiner Building, located on the Long Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts, is a brick Colonial style warehouse built in 1763 and rebuilt in 1812. At one time it was used as John Hancock's counting house. Long Wharf was once filled with this kind of building, but this is the only one remaining; it is the wharf's oldest surviving structure. The building was renovated in 1973 by Anderson, Notter, Feingold. It is currently a Chart House seafood restaurant. The Gardiner Building features a slate roof and "six-over-six" windows with shutters. The lintels and sills are granite.

The New England Aquarium is a public aquarium located in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to the main aquarium building, attractions at the New England Aquarium include the Simons Theatre and the New England Aquarium Whale Watch, which operates from April through November. The aquarium has more than 22,000 members and hosts more than 1.3 million visitors each year.

Central Wharf is a historic pier in Boston, Massachusetts. Built in 1815–1816 between Long Wharf and India Wharf, it originally extended from India Street nearly a quarter-mile into Boston Harbor. Today, the much-shortened wharf (due to land reclamation on the city end) serves as the home of the New England Aquarium.

Echo of the Waves (also known as Dolphin or Whale) is a sculpture by Susumu Shingu, installed outside the New England Aquarium, in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. It was completed in September 1981, and dedicated on July 6, 1983. The abstract, kinetic structure is made of painted steel and Teflon coated fiberglass, and rests on a painted steel base. It was surveyed as part of the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in 1994.

The Aquarium Garage Development, was a proposed supertall skyscraper in Boston, Massachusetts. Aquarium Garage Development was intended to be tied as the tallest building in Boston, with Trans National Place. If built, it would have surpassed the 60-story John Hancock Tower by 10 stories and about 210 feet (64 meters). The project was cancelled in 2012.

Dolphins of the Sea is a bronze sculpture by Katharine Lane Weems, installed outside the New England Aquarium on Boston's Central Wharf, in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The sculpture depicts a school of swimming dolphins and measures approximately 4 × 3 × 7 ft. It was copyrighted in 1977. The work was surveyed by the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in 1997.

The Harbor Towers are two 40-story residential towers located on the waterfront of Boston, Massachusetts, located between the New England Aquarium and the Rowes Wharf mixed-use development. Harbor Towers I, the taller of the two towers, stands at 400.0 feet (121.9 m), while Harbor Towers II rises 396 feet (121 m). Harbor Towers I is in a tie as 29th-tallest building in Boston. They were designed by Henry N. Cobb of I. M. Pei & Partners. Initially built as affordable rental housing, the Harbor Towers opened in 1971. At the time, the area surrounding the project was a warehouse district with derelict abandoned spaces and many surface parking lots.

A statue of Christopher Columbus was installed in Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park, in Boston's North End, in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. On June 11, 2020, the statue was removed for an undisclosed period after it was decapitated by protestors on the evening of June 9, 2020.

India Wharf (1804-c. 1962) in Boston, Massachusetts, flourished in the 19th century, when it was one of the largest commercial wharves in the port. The structure began in 1804 to accommodate international trade at a time when several other improvements to the Boston waterfront occurred, such as the creation of Broad Street and India Street.

The Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park is a public park in the Boston's North End.

Harbor Fog, stilled buoys dream of a lost harbor, is a responsive sensor-activated interactive contemporary public sculptural environment located in Boston along the main pedestrian walkway of Wharf District Park Parcel 17, on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway. The first permanent public artwork along the Greenway, the concept was selected through a competition for commission by the Mass Highway Department, and integrated into site construction in collaboration with engineers during building of the Central Artery/Tunnel Project (Big Dig).The Harbor Fog sculpture is part of a genera of environmental artworks that use high pressure cold water fog, hot steam fog, or other gaseous materials, to produce immersive environmental sculpture.
