Rio Olympic Velodrome

Carioca Arena 3 (Portuguese: Arena Carioca 3) is an indoor stadium in Barra da Tijuca in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The venue hosted taekwondo and fencing competitions at the 2016 Summer Olympics and the judo and wheelchair fencing competitions at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. Carioca Arena 3 was planned to be transformed into a sports high school after the Games.During the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil, the structure of Carioca Arena 3 was used as a base for the health workers on vaccination programme. As of February 2022, the Arena is open for children engaged in sports activities promoted by the prefecture of Rio de Janeiro. In December, the plans for a sports training hall were finally put into place, with the facility to be renamed Olympic Educational Gymnasium Isabel Salgado (Portuguese: Ginásio Educacional Olímpico Isabel Salgado, homaging recently deceased volleyball player Isabel Salgado).

Jeunesse Arena is an indoor multi-purpose arena, located in the region of Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is one of the indoor arena with largest capacity in the country, with 15,430 people for sports and up to 18,768 for concerts.The arena is named for the American cosmetics company Jeunesse Global through a naming rights deal closed in 2017. Before, the sponsor name was HSBC Arena. The arena was completed in July 2007 and was first known as Arena Olímpica do Rio (Rio Olympic Arena), which it was known as during the 2016 Summer Olympics. From December 2007 to March 2008, it was known as RioArena.

The Miécimo da Silva Olympic Boulevard, originally Miécimo da Silva Sports Center (in Portuguese: "Centro Esportivo Miécimo da Silva"), is a city-owned Olympic-grade multi-sports complex in Campo Grande, Rio de Janeiro. Sporting swimming pools, multi-sport building complex, an indoor arena, a small stadium, and over 9 outdoor sports fields, Miécimo is one of the largest sports centers in Latin America. Since its opening in 1982, the center has been host to several events, including the 2007 Pan American Games and the 2016 Summer Olympics mega events, as well as tournaments, concerts, Sports Days, summer camps, talent shows and other small and large cultural and religious events. Along with hosting events, the center also offers its spaces to the community for practice and leisure at no cost. They also offer classes to the general public as well as special classes for kids, elders and people with disabilities, also free of charge. Classes include: swimming, water polo, hydrogymnastics, stretching, Yoga, Pilates, Functional training, HIIT, step aerobics, rebound with trampolines, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, Ballet, Jazz dance, tap dance, ballroom dance, "Rhythms" (Zumba, FitDance and Ritbox), Capoeira, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Karate, Judo, Taekwondo, Muay Thai, Boxing, Athletics, Association football, Flag football, Futsal, Handball, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Badminton and Table tennis, among others.

The Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet (Nelson Piquet International RaceTrack), also known as Jacarepaguá after the neighbourhood in which it was located, and also as the Autódromo Riocentro, was a motorsport circuit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Opened in January 1978, a few weeks before 1978 Brazilian Grand Prix, it hosted the Formula One Brazilian Grand Prix on ten occasions, and was also used for CART, motorcycle racing and stock car racing. In 2012, it was demolished to make way for facilities to be used at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The Barra Olympic Park (Brazilian Portuguese: Parque Olímpico da Barra), originally the City of Sports Complex, is a cluster of nine sporting venues in Barra da Tijuca, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The park, which served as the Olympic Park for the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Paralympics, was originally built for the 2007 Pan American Games, consisting of three venues. The complex was later expanded to nine venues for the Olympics, two of which are temporary structures. The complex will later become the site of the Olympic Training Center, after the games conclude.

Carioca Arena 2 (Portuguese: Arena Carioca 2) is an indoor stadium in Barra da Tijuca in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The venue hosted judo and wrestling at the 2016 Summer Olympics as well as boccia at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. As with a number of other venues in the Barra Olympic Park, Carioca Arena 2 will be transformed after the games to become part of the Olympic Training Centre.

The Rio de Janeiro Olympic Training Center (Portuguese: Centro Olímpico de Treinamento, COT) is a sports training facility in Barra da Tijuca, Brazil that opened after the 2016 Summer Olympics. The centre includes six venues used in the 2016 games and facilities created in the Barra Olympic Park footprint. The centre is located at the site of the former Nelson Piquet International Autodrome - Jacarepaguá.

The Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre (Portuguese: Parque Aquático Maria Lenk) is an aquatics centre that is part of the City of Sports Complex in the Barra da Tijuca district of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is part of the investments made by the city to host the swimming, synchronized swimming and diving competitions of the 2007 Pan American Games. During the 2016 Summer Olympics, it hosted group matches of water polo and the synchronised swimming and diving competitions. The name of the water park is a tribute to the Brazilian swimmer, Maria Lenk, who died less than three months before its inauguration. The water park was designed in accordance with established parameters and specifications of the International Swimming Federation (FINA). It is partially covered and includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool, an indoor heating and a tank for diving. The complex has the capacity to receive about 8,000 people. The construction area is 42,000 square metres (450,000 sq ft). The facility has also been designed according to the specifications required to achieve the Parapan American Games of 2007, as well as environments and equipment ready to receive people with special needs. The park, as well as other facilities built for the achievement of the Pan American Games, was one of the major assets of the city's bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics. In March 2008, the facility came under the administration of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), which has been involved in training for Olympic and Paralympic athletes, coaches and officials, as well as courses, conferences, workshops, gym and small schools of swimming, water polo, diving and synchronized swimming. Until 2009, the BOC did not do any sports activity on the site. In 2011, the facility received the Centro de Treinamento Time Brasil (Team Brazil Training Center), which comprises a gym, a laboratory, and a room for combat sports training, designed by judoka turned architect Daniela Polzin. In 2018, COB moved its headquarters onto the aquatics centre in a cost-cutting measure, while also planning to add two beach volleyball courts in the area to offer more services in the facility. It also started receiving the Brazil Swimming Trophy starting in 2017. In 2022, as COB moved into a building closer to the Centre, it also renewed its concession of the Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre until 2048, while also planning to add an archery range nearby.

The Barra Velodrome was a track cycling venue located in Barra da Tijuca, in western Rio de Janeiro, and was one of three venues constructed as part of the City of Sports Complex for the 2007 Pan American Games, where it hosted track cycling and speed roller skating events. The venue was initially slated to host cycling events for the 2016 Summer Olympics, but was instead demolished in favour of the replacement Rio Olympic Velodrome, after the International Cycling Union (UCI) deemed the venue unsuitable for the games. The Olympic Aquatics Stadium now occupies the former site of the velodrome.

The Future Arena (Portuguese: Arena do Futuro) was a temporary sporting venue in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, that was used for handball at the 2016 Summer Olympics, volleyball at the 2016 Summer Olympics and goalball at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. After the games, the venue was planned to be dismantled and reassembled as four schools. As of August 2017, these plans have been abandoned by Rio's mayor Marcelo Crivella. Only in 2022 the demolition properly started.

The Olympic Tennis Centre (Portuguese: Centro Olímpico de Tênis) is a tennis venue located in the Barra Olympic Park in Barra da Tijuca in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The centre hosted tennis events of the 2016 Summer Olympics, and the wheelchair tennis events of the 2016 Summer Paralympics. The centre was built on the site of the former Nelson Piquet International Autodrome.

The Olympic Aquatics Stadium (Portuguese: Estádio Aquático Olímpico) was a temporary aquatics center in the Barra Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro. The venue hosted the swimming events, Synchronized swimming finals and water polo finals at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and the para-swimming events for the 2016 Summer Paralympics.
