Črna Vas

The Iška (pronounced [ˈiːʃka]) is a river of central Slovenia. Part of the river valley—the Iška Gorge or Iška Canyon (Slovene: Iški vintgar)—separates Lower Carniola from Inner Carniola.: 82  The river is 31 km (19 mi) long. After flowing past Strahomer, the river follows an almost straight line and joins the Ljubljanica River, and therefore belongs to the Sava and Black Sea basins. The part of the river between Iška Vas and Strahomer disappeared underground during the 2010 Slovenia floods, on the night of 20 September 2010.

Gornji Ig (pronounced [ˈɡoːɾnji ˈiːk]; in older sources also Gorenji Ig, German: Oberigg) is a village in the hills southwest of Iška Vas in the Municipality of Ig in central Slovenia. Church of St. Michael in Črna Vas, Slovenia, also known as the Church of St. Michael in the Marsh (Slovene: Cerkev sv. Mihaela na Barju), is a parish church of the Roman Catholic Church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ljubljana. Dedicated to Saint Michael, it is one of the prominent works of 20th-century Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik, and is listed as a monument of national significance of Slovenia. The church, together with several other Plečnik's works in Ljubljana, has also been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site The works of Jože Plečnik in Ljubljana – Human Centred Urban Design in 2021.

Matena (pronounced [maˈteːna]) is a village in the Municipality of Ig in central Slovenia, just south of the capital Ljubljana. The entire municipality is part of the traditional region of Inner Carniola and is now included in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.

The Mali Graben (Slovene: Mali graben) is a creek and a natural branch of the Gradaščica River in southwest Ljubljana. It flows south of and parallel to the Gradaščica and is the largest affluent of the river Ljubljanica. It is also known as Stržen (literally, 'thalweg') and Mala voda ('Little Creek').The creek is a natural channel. It splits from the Gradaščica not far from Bokalce Castle, then flows across the southern part of the Murgle residential district and joins the Ljubljanica from the left side near the Gruber Canal. Most water from the Gradaščica is diverted into the Mali Graben, helping alleviate flooding of the Trnovo District of Ljubljana.

Vič (pronounced [ˈʋiːtʃ]; German: Waitsch) is a former village in the western part of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is part of the traditional region of Upper Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.

Lipe (pronounced [ˈliːpɛ]) is a settlement in the marshland south of Ljubljana in central Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Ljubljana. The area is part of the traditional Lower Carniola region. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.

The French School in Ljubljana (EFL; French: École Française internationale de Ljubljana) is a school in Slovenia that caters to students from over 15 nationalities, ranging from 3 to 15 years of age. It was established in 1991.
