Gornji Ig (pronounced [ˈɡoːɾnji ˈiːk]; in older sources also Gorenji Ig, German: Oberigg) is a village in the hills southwest of Iška Vas in the Municipality of Ig in central Slovenia. The entire municipality is part of the traditional region of Inner Carniola and is now included in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.

Črna Vas (pronounced [ˈtʃəɾna ˈʋaːs]; Slovene: Črna vas) is a settlement on the right bank of the Ljubljanica River, south of the capital Ljubljana in central Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Ljubljana. It is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.

The Buddhist Congregation Dharmaling is a Buddhist organization, which main office is registered to the Office for religious communities of the Government of Slovenia. Buddhist Congregation Dharmaling is also signatory of an agreement with the State of Slovenia, and is as such the 6th religious community to have signed such agreement in Slovenia (after the four Christian faiths and the Muslim community). Following primarily the Gelug lineage, the head of the organization, Lama Shenphen Rinpoche – a Western reborn and officially recognized tulku by the Tibetan community – has a non sectarian (Rime) type of approach. The Congregation’s teachings and practices are traditional, but are adapted to be accessible to Westerners and the life they live. A regular program of teaching exists in different countries and more periodical teachings are taking places in other countries where a study group exists. Retreats and seminars are also organized each year. Dharmaling is also active in the humanitarian fields, through AMCHI non profit organization created since 1989, and its Foundation.

The Trnovo District (Slovene: Četrtna skupnost Trnovo), or simply Trnovo, is a district (mestna četrt) of the City Municipality of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.

The Prule Bridge (Slovene: Prulski most) or the Brickmakers' Bridge (Opekarski most) is a bridge crossing the Ljubljanica River in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is located in the Trnovo District to the south of the Ljubljana old town and links the residential districts of Prule (Janežič Street; Slovene: Janežičeva cesta) and Trnovo (Brickmakers' Street; Slovene: Opekarska cesta). It is shaped like a wide platform on two columns with lookout balconies and with wide pavements, covered with red brick.The first bridge at the site was a wooden one, previously used as the St. Peter's Bridge, and transferred here around 1918. On the left bank, Jože Plečnik embellished the otherwise insignificant bridge with three poplars. The current bridge was built in 1993 upon the plans by Peter Gabrijelčič. It is a compromise between the city government that wanted to build a four-lane bridge and residents who wanted a footbridge.

The Ljubljana Botanical Garden (Slovene: Ljubljanski botanični vrt), officially the University of Ljubljana Botanical Garden (Botanični vrt Univerze v Ljubljani), is the central Slovenian botanical garden, the oldest botanical garden in Southeastern Europe, and one of the oldest cultural, scientific, and educational organisations in Slovenia. Its headquarters are located in the Rudnik District of Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital, at Ig Street (Ižanska cesta) along the Gruber Canal to the southeast of Castle Hill. The garden started operating under the leadership of Franc Hladnik in 1810, when Ljubljana was the capital of the Illyrian Provinces. It is thus an averagely old European botanical garden. The institution is a member of the international network Botanic Gardens Conservation International and cooperates with more than 270 botanical gardens all across the world. Of over 4,500 plant species and subspecies that grow on 2 hectares (4.9 acres), roughly a third is endemic to Slovenia, whereas the rest originate from other European places and other continents.

The Rooster Bridge (Slovene: Petelinji most, Petelinja brv, Petelinov most, Tenente) in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is a footbridge crossing the Gradaščica River in the Trnovo District south of the downtown of Ljubljana. It stands between the Trnovo Bridge and the outflow of the Gradaščica into the Ljubljanica,: 127  and connects Gradaščica Street (Gradaška ulica) in the northern Krakovo neighbourhood (left bank) to Eipper Street (Eipprova ulica) in the southern Trnovo neighbourhood (right bank). These are the oldest Ljubljana suburbs, known for their market gardens and cultural events.

The Trnovo Bridge (Slovene: Trnovski most) is a bridge crossing the Gradaščica River in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is located in front of Trnovo Church at the end of Karun Street (Karunova ulica) to the south of the city centre and is a continuation of Emona Street (Emonska cesta). It connects the neighborhoods of Krakovo and Trnovo, the oldest Ljubljana suburbs, known for their market gardens and cultural events. A bridge has stood on the site since the late 17th century. The modern bridge was built between 1928 and 1932 by the constructor Matko Curk upon the plans of the architect Jože Plečnik. It is distinguished by its width and the trees that it bears. It is the most prominent object of Plečnik's renovation of the banks of the Gradaščica.

The Jek Bridge (Slovene: Jekarski most; also Jeklarski most, Jekavski most, Razorčev most 'Razorec Bridge') is a bridge crossing the Gradaščica River in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The current structure was built in 1903 at the site of an earlier wooden bridge.The various names are derived from the toponym na Jeku (literally, 'on the hill' < German Ecke), which referred to a nearby wharf, and from the former Razorec Inn, located at Church Street (Cerkvena ulica) no. 1, today (Ernest) Eypper Street (Eipprova ulica).
