Rancho Soulajule

Soulajule Reservoir (Spanish: Soo-lɑː-huː-liː) is a reservoir in northwestern Marin County, California. It is located about 4.5 miles southwest of the border with Sonoma County, and about 5.5 miles northeast of Point Reyes Station. It was built in 1979 with the construction of the earth-fill Soulajule Dam along Arroyo Sausal, a tributary of Walker Creek.

Rancho Laguna de San Antonio was a 24,903-acre (100.78 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Marin County and Sonoma County, California given in 1845 by Governor Pío Pico to Bartolomé Bojorquez. The grant encompassed Chileno Creek and Laguna Lake.

Laguna Lake is a shallow natural lake at the head of the Chileno Valley. It retains some water year round. The 200 acres (81 ha) lake is 0.5 miles (1 km) wide and 2 miles (3 km) long, straddling the Sonoma-Marin county line in northern California, United States. It is the source of Chileno Creek which flows 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west to Walker Creek.It was included in the Rancho Laguna de San Antonio Mexican land grant, which was given to Bartolomé Bojorquez in 1845.Laguna Lake is used extensively for migrating and breeding waterfowl and Agriculture. agr.

The Marin French Cheese Company is a manufacturer of artisan cheese located in rural west Marin County, California. The company was founded in 1865 by Jefferson Thompson, and produces cheeses under the Marin French Cheese brand name. It is the oldest continually operating cheese manufacturer in the United States.

Nicasio Reservoir is a shallow, artificial reservoir in the Nicasio Valley region of Marin County, California, United States. It covers 845 acres (3.42 km2) and sits in a 35.9 square miles (93 km2) drainage basin. It was created by the construction of Seeger Dam on the Nicasio Creek in 1961 (1961). Seeger Dam is a 115-foot (35 m) tall, 400-foot (120 m) long earthen dam owned by the Marin Municipal Water District.

Nicasio Creek is an 11.9-mile-long (19.2 km) stream in Marin County, California, United States and is the primary tributary of Lagunitas Creek, which flows, in turn, into Tomales Bay, and the Pacific Ocean. The Nicasio Reservoir, formed in 1961 by Seeger Dam, is located on this stream.

Training Center Petaluma is a Coast Guard training facility in the northern California counties of Sonoma and Marin. Formerly the installation was the United States Army "Two Rock Station" . Approximately 4,000 military students train there each year. It is the only Coast Guard training center or large installation without a major operational component (air station, motor life boat station, etc) or waterfront. The training center is located in a rural area north of San Francisco at 38.25°N 122.79°W / 38.25; -122.79. It is about 9 mi (14 km) from the coast and 9 mi (14 km) west of the city of Petaluma, California, west of the junction of Tomales Road and Valley Ford Road, just south of Stemple Creek and the village of Two Rock, California. The facility occupies more than 800 acres (320 ha) of land, which include 129 family housing units and 90 other buildings. A small town, the training center also has a movie theater, RV and camping spots, over 10 miles of hiking and walking trails, barbershop and hair salon, tailor, chapel with regular services, bowling alley, and other amenities. Public safety is provided by a Coast Guard Fire Department and a mix of Coast Guard Military Police and contracted private security, though emergency medical services including advanced life support and ambulance transport is provided by local civilian agencies. An on-installation medical clinic provides non-emergency general outpatient healthcare for active duty and reserve service members, while dependents and retirees are seen on the local civilian network.

Petaluma Center is an unincorporated community and census designated place (CDP) in Sonoma County, California, United States. It covers the residential population of the Coast Guard facility Training Center Petaluma. Per the 2020 census, the population was 709.

Lagunitas Creek is a 24 miles (39 km)-long northward-flowing stream in Marin County, California. It is critically important to the largest spawning runs of endangered coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) in the Central California Coast Coho salmon Evolutionary Significant Unit (CCC ESU).The stream's headwaters begin on the northern slopes of Mount Tamalpais in the Coast Range and terminate in southeast Tomales Bay, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) northwest of Point Reyes Station, California. Lagunitas Creek feeds several reservoirs on Mt. Tamalpais that supply a major portion of the county's drinking water.

SS Point Reyes, also known as the Tomales Bay shipwreck or Inverness shipwreck, is an abandoned fishing vessel located on the mudflats of Tomales Bay near Inverness, California. Originally built in 1944 as a World War II launch, the vessel was later repurposed for commercial fishing. It washed ashore during the 1990s and beached on the mudflats, becoming a local landmark and a popular subject for photography. In recent years the vessel has deteriorated significantly due to exposure to storms, strong tides and vandalism. Concerns have been raised regarding public safety and the wreck has been identified by authorities as a potential hazard. While discussions have been held about its possible removal by the NPS, no action has yet been taken.

Point Reyes Station (formerly, Marin and Olema Station) is a small unincorporated town in western Marin County, California, United States. Point Reyes Station is located 13 miles (21 km) south-southeast of Tomales, at an elevation of 39 feet (12 m). Point Reyes Station is located along State Route 1 and is a gateway to the Point Reyes National Seashore, an extremely popular national preserve. The Point Reyes Station census-designated place (CDP) covers the unincorporated town and adjacent development to the north, with a total population of 895 as of the 2020 census.

Chileno Creek is a stream in western Marin County, California, United States. It originates west of Petaluma, California at 220-acre Laguna Lake which straddles Marin and Sonoma Counties, from which it flows west 6.25 kilometres (3.88 mi) before joining Walker Creek, a tributary of Tomales Bay.
