Enfield Lock

Enfield Lock railway station is on the West Anglia Main Line, it is in Enfield Lock in the London Borough of Enfield, London. It is 11 miles 65 chains (19.0 km) down the line from London Liverpool Street and is situated between Brimsdown and Waltham Cross. Its three-letter station code is ENL and it is in Travelcard zone 6. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Greater Anglia. Enfield Lock was the main station for the Royal Small Arms Factory until its closure in the late 1980s, and now serves the large housing development on the site known as Enfield Island Village, as well as the nearby Innova Science and Business park.

Oasis Academy Enfield is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Enfield Lock area of Enfield, England. The school was established in September 2007, as one of the first academies sponsored by Oasis Community Learning. The school was initially housed in temporary accommodation before transferring to a new £21 million building in September 2008. The school maintains close links with Oasis Academy Hadley, located in nearby Ponders End.

Enfield Power Station is a 408 MW gas-fired station, opened on part of the original Brimsdown Power Station site on Brancroft Way at Brimsdown in the North London Borough of Enfield. It is near the A1055 and Lee Valley Park.

Enfield Lock (No 13) is a lock on the River Lee Navigation, in the London Borough of Enfield. It gives its name to the surrounding area of Enfield Lock. The lock is situated close to the former Royal Small Arms Factory now known as Enfield Island Village. It is the first of the smaller locks upstream to Hertford which were built to allow barges up to a maximum 100 tons.

Brimsdown Power Station was a coal-fired power station on the Lee Navigation at Brimsdown in Middlesex. The station had seven cooling towers which were visible from a wide area.

Brimsdown is a neighbourhood of eastern Enfield in the London Borough of Enfield, north London, on the west side of the mid-to-lower Lea Valley.

Freezywater is a neighbourhood of the traditional broad definition of Enfield in the London Borough of Enfield, north London. It has a border with Hertfordshire. It is between Bullsmoor to the west, Enfield Lock to the east, Enfield Wash to the south, and Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire to the north. It became more than a hamlet at the beginning of the 20th century. Freezywater occupies a zone straddling Hertford Road from its junction with Ordnance Road in the south to Bullsmoor Lane and the Holmesdale Tunnel overpass in the north. It is generally deemed to commence westwards from the Liverpool Street to Cheshunt railway.

Turkey Brook is a river in the northern outskirts of London. It rises in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, and flows broadly eastwards to merge with the River Lea Navigation near Enfield Lock.

The Royal Small Arms Factory (RSAF) was a UK government-owned rifle factory in Enfield (though some parts were in Waltham Abbey), adjoining the Lee Navigation in the Lea Valley. The factory produced British military rifles, muskets and swords from 1816. It closed in 1988, but some of its work was transferred to other sites. The factory designed and manufactured many famous British Army weapons including the Lee–Enfield rifles which were standard equipment during both World Wars.

Aylward Academy (formerly Gladys Aylward School) is a mixed secondary school and sixth form in Edmonton, in the London Borough of Enfield for students aged 11 to 18. Since September 2010, it has been an academy sponsored by the Academies Enterprise Trust (AET) family of schools. Remo Iafrate succeeded Jonathan Gillard as Principal. Dele Rotimi succeeded Remo Iafrate in September 2021

Enfield Island Village is a modern housing estate in Enfield Lock, in the London Borough of Enfield, north London. Before April 1994, Enfield Island Village formed part of the Epping Forest district of Essex, but it was transferred to the borough of Enfield in Greater London when the housing development was created.

Ark John Keats Academy is a co-educational all-through school and sixth form located in the Enfield Wash area of London, England. It is a free school educating primary and Secondary school pupils, and is sponsored by Ark Schools. The school is named after John Keats, the poet. Ark John Keats Academy is located on the site which used to house Albany School until it closed in 2009. The site then housed Oasis Academy Hadley until that school relocated to Ponders End in 2013.
