Nolambur

Mogappair (also known as Dr. J. J. Nagar) is a residential neighborhood in north-western Chennai, India. It is located west of the Jawaharlal Nehru Road (Inner Ring Road) and is part of the Ambattur zone (7) of the Greater Chennai Corporation. There are industrial estates to the north and west, namely, Padi and Ambattur. The abundance of highly reputed schools, specialized hospitals and the recent influx of IT offices in the industrial estates in and around it have catapulted Mogappair into a strategic location for business. The Mangal Lake in the North Western part of Mogappair is the largest park in this region. A few decades ago, Mogappair was a small village, a part of which is still intact in the south-western part of Mogappair. Mogappair is divided into two parts, namely, Mogappair East and Mogappair West.

Mangal aeri, or Mangal lake, is a rain-fed reservoir in the neighbourhood of Mugappair in Chennai, India.

Mar Gregorios College (MGC) is a private college located in Mogappair West, near Chennai. MGC was founded by the Malankara Syrian Catholic Management (MSC Management, Since 1930). The Trust was founded on 1 August 1930 at Trivandrum, Kerala. The college, established in the city of Chennai by the MSCM, a Catholic church in India, is said to be among the top colleges. D.A.V. (Boys) Senior Secondary School, Mogappair is an all boys school that was established in the year 1989 as a part of D.A.V Group of Schools, Chennai. The school is a sister concern of D.A.V. Boys Senior Secondary School, Gopalapuram. The primary medium of instruction for all non-language subjects is English. The Madras Medical Mission is a hospital located in Chennai. The first unit of the hospital was set up in 1987. The hospital houses 300 beds including 76 intensive care beds.

Koyambedu Metro station is a Metro railway station on the Line 2 of the Chennai Metro, which is one terminal of the current open metro line from St Thomas Mount. The station is among the elevated stations along corridor II of the Chennai Metro, Chennai Central–St. Thomas Mount stretch. The station will serve the neighbourhoods of Koyambedu, Koyambedu vegetable market, and Koyambedu Private Bus Terminus.
