D.A.V. (Boys) Senior Secondary School, Mogappair is an all boys school that was established in the year 1989 as a part of D.A.V Group of Schools, Chennai. The school is a sister concern of D.A.V. Boys Senior Secondary School, Gopalapuram. The primary medium of instruction for all non-language subjects is English. The school is managed by the Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society, Chennai, a limb of Arya Samaj (Central); Chennai, under the Societies Act XXI of 1860, Sl. No.101 of 1974. Mogappair (also known as Dr. J. J. Nagar) is a residential neighborhood in north-western Chennai, India. It is located west of the Jawaharlal Nehru Road (Inner Ring Road) and is part of the Ambattur zone (7) of the Greater Chennai Corporation. There are industrial estates to the north and west, namely, Padi and Ambattur. The Inner ring road runs in the western fringes of Nolambur making it a place for rapid connectivity from all part of Chennai City. A few buses also ply through this area.Important Residential units include Brigade Xanadu, S and P Garden, Jains Sunderbans Apartments,Fomra Tribhuvan, VGN Minerva Apartments, Akshya Pacific City, City Light Meadows, DABC's various apartments and Jains Nakshatra. As of 2022, the tallest building in the neighbourhood is the 22-storied, three-towered Casagrand Crescendo apartment buildings.

Thirumangalam lies on the border of Anna Nagar in Chennai. Thirumangalam is on the border of Anna Nagar and often referred as Anna Nagar. The original Thirumangalam village lies on the boundary of Anna Nagar and Anna Nagar West. The old Thirumaniamman Temple is situated here.

Thirumangalam metro station is a Metro railway station on the Line 2 of the Chennai Metro. The station is among the underground stations coming up along corridor II of the Chennai Metro through Anna Nagar stretch. The station will serve the neighbourhoods where the old village of Thirumangalam once stood and now the area where the Thirumangalam Flyover, a prominent landmark and referred to by residents when giving directions.

Koyambedu Metro station is a Metro railway station on the Line 2 of the Chennai Metro, which is one terminal of the current open metro line from St Thomas Mount. The station is among the elevated stations along corridor II of the Chennai Metro, Chennai Central–St. Thomas Mount stretch. The station will serve the neighbourhoods of Koyambedu, Koyambedu vegetable market, and Koyambedu Private Bus Terminus.
